  1. So, Bush would appoint a judge who wouldn't require states to do something that a majority of Americans oppose? DAMN HIM! -=Mike Don't believe the hype. From CBS.com Not all Americans disapprove of abortion. Certainly not enough that it should be completely overturned. And this case, President Bush would actually be taking AWAY a right from the people. It's a guarantee that if abortion became illegal, there would be many more dangerous backdoor abortions that could then put the mother's life in danger as well. Then, if that's the result, why would it be done? The people that would have abortions are STILL going to be having abortions - only in a more dangerous way. Religion is fine if Bush wishes to honor it, but his religion is starting to dictate the policy of this country and the rights that U.S. citizens have......and that's where it's becoming a major problem.
  2. You know, I think that'd be an EGG-cellent gimmick! LOLOLOL!!! It'd certainly make Raw a lot more...EGG-citing! LMAOROTFL!!!!!!!!!! Yes! Yes! That gimmick would be...EGG-ceptional!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! EGGS-ACTLY!! Now you're getting the WWE mentality!! Wait....wait.....eggs-actly. I just got it. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAH!!!!!
  3. Well, I don't understand how the "New Deal" - a plan designed with the intentions to bring the country out of a depression - can be compared to creating an amendment with the purpose to ban gay marriage. Although some of FDR's ideas were radical, many were still created with the intention to help the country. How does banning gay marriage and exploring Mars really help those in the United States right now? Please let me know when Bush starts packing the Supreme Court in order to have gay marriage ruled unconstitutional. I like FDR, but the guy did try to abuse his power. Do you mean......after Bush carefully handpicks a new Justice that would vote against abortion, thus making it illegal in this country? Because, as you must know, that is the plan. And with a razor-thin 5-4 vote last time on abortion, an alternate Supreme Court Justice could have an incredibly large effect on whether or not abortions remain legal, or a woman must go back to using a coat hanger in an underground doctor's office. The plan is already for Bush to appoint a new Justice that would make abortion illegal. What's to say this new Justice wouldn't be against gay marriage as well?
  4. Goldberg. The marching theme seemed to fit in perfectly with the walk through the locker room and the fireworks that followed. The tempo of the music just seemed to have that whole "Goldberg is coming out to kick some ass" feeling, and it had the ability to excite fans even more. Seriously, I don't know if Goldberg would ever have been as over as he was without his entrance music in WCW.

  6. Don't forget the fact that he wants to completely clean up the airwaves, going as far as to request FCC fines to be raised to $500,000 per violation. If anything controversial happens to be broadcast over the radio or basic television, there could be a hellstorm to pay. Add this to the radical tally of President Bush: willing to fine an absurd of money for a controversial topic, or revoke station licenses if said incidents reoccur, despite the fact that it happens to go against the First Amendment and the outrageous "Freedom of Speech" idea.
  7. Too many..........or not enough? I NEED to have "Toxic" on CD. It hasn't been played NEARLY enough on the radio and MTV. *sarcasm-meter explodes*
  8. Good. I was worried you gave away the fact that Rey won the Gauntlet, when he hasn't even come out yet. ..... Wait.
  9. What hate? People here love Shelton Benjamin. I'm just trying to point out that Charlie Haas has his positives as well.
  10. I actually thought Haas did a better job than Shelton in that match. Charlie actually told a story. He tried to be a civil opponent at the beginning, sticking with simple submissions and not getting too violent. Yet, Shelton kept joking around and treating Charlie like a non-threat. Every time he did this, Haas was getting angrier and angrier. Finally, he snapped and began to beat on Benjamin as if he was an enemy and not really a tag-team partner. You could see the anger as Haas began to bust out clotheslines, elbows to the face, side suplexes, and germans. Finally, his anger got the best of him and he forgot about the spinkick reversal that Shelton always does. Haas actually did an admirable job of building a story in a 5-minute match. Once again, he isn't given enough credit as he should be. Haas > Benjamin.........?
  11. Yeah. After the meltdown Heyman is having this week saying that he never wants to see any of these Smackdown superstars again, I can't see him lasting too much longer. Vince will say that he is no longer fit to run his brand, so he'll bring back Stuffany McHam (Thank you, RRR). Then Heyman will either form the ECW brand that's being rumored or just not have a role. Anyway, I can't see him lasting much longer as the Smackdown GM, especially after how he's running the show this week.
  12. Check out the "WWE Helpful Links" post that's pinned to the top of the thread. It has a whole bunch of links that could wind up being useful,
  13. Its a looooooong and stupid story. Long story short, a mod banned him for something he said in another thread, but Dr. Tom thought it was more immature and stupid than a bannable offense. That isn't the exact story. There was alot more to it and its not going to be divulged due to the amount of stupidity involved It has to be divulged. What's the quote at least? And WTF, you made more posts, but you still have 7 posts. Posts aren't counted in Hardcore Discussion.
  14. + Stupidity? Impossible!
  15. I think people seriously underestimate Charlie Haas. Although he still has a lot of room to improve, he's already one of the better technical wrestlers on Smackdown. And, as seen from some of his promos after leaving Team Angle, he does have fairly good mic skills that are sure to improve from here. It's just a shame he isn't allowed to talk on the mic enough. He also has a sick finishing move with the Haas of Pain, which we often don't see enough of. Haas does have the ability to be a future player in WWE and, while he may not be as talented as Shelton is at this point, I still think he has the ability to become a successful singles wrestler.
  16. Well, no, not everyone. And maybe you realize this.....maybe you don't.....but I think it needs to be said anyway..... THAT POST WAS FUCKIN UNCALLED FOR!!!
  17. Rudo, don't act like you're not in on this fucking conspiracy.
  18. No, he isn't. He's a human being who isn't happy with his job. He's a free man who has every right to quit his job if he's not happy. But no, a bunch of cocksuckers on a wrestling forum think he shouldn't be allowed to do what he needs to do to be happy, because apparently he owes all of you something. Go Brock, and be happy. Thanks for all the good matches you gave us. Oh, stop the bullshit Ray. We're not talking anymore about a guy that left his job just because he was unhappy. Let's go over WHY he was unhappy. He was unhappy over the fact that he needed to face a guy that might not have been up to his level. The job of a Heavyweight Champion is to bring those kind of guys UP to his level. What did Brock do? He moaned and bitched about it, then dragged his feet on the big blowoff match at a major Pay-Per-View. Not every match can be a marquee one. He had a certain obligation in the Holly feud and, not only did he not FULFILL that obligation, but he wound up crying about it later. He was unhappy over the fact that, for once, he might actually look like the weaker person in a feud. That he may actually have to lose a big blowoff match. Sure, he was going to be facing the #1 face on Smackdown but....my god.....he may have to sell a little more than he's used to. For once, he might not be this huge monster. For once......he may look vulnerable. And what does he do? Walks out. Walks out of a company that was handing him a guaranteed Main Event match and asking him to give a little back after all that they gave him. He took and took, but when it was time to give back, suddenly he lost his passion of the sport. And let's not act like this is a simple walking-out scheme. If you walk out of an office job, there will always be someone else willing to take a promotion and replace you in that spot. The company isn't RELYING on you to be their future. The WWE WAS relying on Brock to be the future. He's big, he's strong, he's athletic, he's young, he's been built up like a MONSTER since his arrival, he was getting strong crowd reaction......there's no doubt Brock was the future of WWE. He was going to be the person that they needed to rely on to bring them to a new era and new generation of professional wrestlers. What does he do? Walks out. Walks out on a company that is struggling at the moment to build up as many stars as they can. A company that sorely needs him right now. A company that will sorely need him in the future as the star. A company that gave him so much earlier in his career just so he could help out the company later on. He walked out. This action can't be justified with a "He's a free man who has every right to quit his job if he's not happy." He has an obligation to help out the company that put him where he is today. Someone will be there to replace you if you quit a job. There might not be a real person to replace Brock Lesnar. People insist on cutting Brock some slack since he was a good wrestler. Bullshit. He showed an incredibly childish and selfish attitude, and this shouldn't be forgiven just because he had some good matches. If this was Billy Gunn or someone like Mark Jindrak, people would be trashing them on their way out the door. But because this was a popular wrestler with good abilities, he's cut slack. It just shouldn't be that way.
  19. Too late.
  20. Well, with Shawn continuously taking the kind of amazingly hard-hitting back bumps he took tonight courtesy of Batista Bombs, he'll be added to the list in no time. However, I think people should hold off on jumping to conclusions right away. Let's wait to see what the MRI says before everyone starts instantly calling for Kurt's retirement, like what happens in every other injury thread about Angle.
  21. Well, the reactions for Brock and Goldberg could be heard on TV and everything but it just seemed a little hushed. The chants seemed to echo LOUDLY through the arena but, on television, they just seemed.....there. Same with the reaction for Benoit. The arena went absolutely insane when Benoit won, but the loudness of that reaction didn't translate well on television. It just seemed like another customary pop for a title win. HBK did get a fairly big pop, although there were some boos following the initial cheers.
  22. For those that went to Mania but got to watch pieces of the PPV on television.... .....doesn't it seem like the crowd was MUCH, MUCH louder in the arena than they were on television? I'm not sure if WWE had a problem with the mics or something else, but it seems like TV didn't really give the crowd justice when it came to crowd reaction. I know that there is usually a dropoff in the loudness of the crowd between being there live and watching it on television, but it just seems MSG was a lot quieter on TV than they actually were.
  23. You think that's sad? Try this: The Saddest Thread in Recent Memory
  24. Don't forget he smells like shit.
  25. Yeah, I doubt they'll be having a Hall of Fame next year. I wouldn't be surprised if they saved the next HoF induction for WrestleMania XXV, which is the next landmark show. However, the next Hall of Fame induction ceremony they do, I'm almost certain they'll pull out another publicity-begging moment and induct Lawrence Taylor into their "Celebrity Hall of Fame."
