    What's going on?

But why would they? They were right..... Are you even sure of what you're talking about?

    What's going on?

How could HHH put him any more than he did? He fucking tapped! You know they could've just had HHH and Hbk knock themselves out and then have Benoit get up from the outside and pin Shawn. I'm just going to quote RRR's post on page 1 because he covered it perfectly: In addition, on the lottery show.....on Monday Night Raw, the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH.....was fought in the middle of the card and passed off as something unimportant. Yet, the Smackdown WWE Heavyweight Title was put as the Main Event, and, shockingly enough, HHH was fighting for it. Coincidence? The top title of the actual brand is being fought for at 10:20. The OTHER title that shouldn't even be contested on Raw is in the main slot with HHH fighting for it. Plus....it's still only March. Wait until after Backlash and the following months to see what happens to Benoit's career. Don't act as it's all over yet, and Hunter committed an act of sainthood here by tapping out at Mania. There's a whole HHH trend that could continue......

    What's going on?

Well, it was still three months before his contract ended. There was always the possiblity that he would resign. However, I do see your point... ....but..... ....any particular reason why HHH got the title back? Kane was right there to be put over the title and given a solid push, but he lost anyway. It also rendered the HHH/Goldberg feud pointless, considering Goldberg never tried to get revenge on the guy that stole his title and who he had been feuding with for months. It made the whole thing a waste of time. And let's be realistic....HHH wouldn't have been shot down the card anyway. No matter how many times he lost to Goldberg. Well, it was STILL a fluke. Triple H's reactions weren't one of "Man, what can I do to put Shelton down?! He's kicking my ass." His reactions were more of a "I underestimated his skill" feeling. He didn't expect Shelton to come out quite so ready, and he was blindsided by it. Does it make Shelton look good? Sure. But it doesn't change the fact that Hunter wasn't prepared for that kind of match, and I'm sure he WILL mention this eventually. The attitude of Hunter during his match with Shelton was a BIG contrast from, say, his attitude during his match with Shawn Michaels on the 12/29 Raw. One had a feeling of "Triple H has no idea how to end this match! He's giving everything he has!". The other had a feeling of "Triple H didn't expect this tonight." Big difference. I'm not disputing that it was a good match and an acceptable way to put Shelton over. But let's not make it into more than what it actually was. He helped out a guy that's not going to be an immediate threat to his spot....and he did it in a way that didn't really hurt him any. Hunter lost because he didn't have his full attention in the match. What would have happened if he did? What would have happened if he REALLY tried? Those questions block some of the progression that Shelton might have had after the match.

    What's going on?

It's a little disheartening to read the verbal fellatio some are giving to HHH after last night. I can't deny the fact that the match worked out well. It accomplished its job in putting Shelton Benjamin over and introducing him to the Raw fans as a single superstar. Triple H did a good job selling Shelton's moves during the match, looking stupid for having underestimated him so much. It was a good match, and Hunter did a good job. But let's not paint him as a saint here. What some are failing to realize about last night is.....it's not that big of a deal! Triple H put over somebody that just isn't a big threat to his spot on the card - and probably won't be for a couple of years. His motives can be seen in what he did to the careers of Rob Van Dam.....Booker T.....Kane.....guys that were actually somewhat of a threat to his spot. When it came to put over somebody that actually had a SHOT of being placed in the Main Event, Hunter always wound up coming out on top. Those three guys each had their credibility hurt after a match with Hunter, and the circumstances can't be forgotten. They all had the match that could have shot them into the next echelon of Raw, and HHH wound up shutting all of them out. While they each lost by pinfall, buddy Shawn Michaels cleanly pinned Triple H in the Elimination Chamber, and buddy Kevin Nash threw Triple H around the entire arena at Judgment Day 2003. A year ago, Hunter STILL stood in the way of guys that had a chance to become something - only to help out his friends. These things can't be forgotten. And before someone mentions Goldberg or Chris Benoit....Goldberg looked good in his feud, but who came out on top? Who outsmarted him at Armageddon, took back the title, and came out the top person of the feud without the guy looking for revenge? Hunter did. As for Benoit, I believe RRR covered that in one of his previous posts already. He wasn't exactly put over GOLDEN by Triple H.....and we have yet to see where that feud goes anyway. Yes, he put over Shelton nicely. But Shelton is not a threat to his spot. There was no risk in giving Benjamin a fluke - and yes, FLUKE....Triple H was distracted by the action outside the ring, and Shelton got in a quick roll-up - victory. When it came time to do the right thing for guys that actually needed it, we saw what happened. Can we please remember this before we start singing the praises of Hunter once again?
  5. Bradshaw was also willing to dye his hair for the entire good of World Wrestling Entertainment. Now THAT'S a company man.
  6. If it makes you feel any better, I wish I could have my vote back now.
  7. By the way, what was the deal with killing off Lorraine so quickly and abruptly? So much more could have been done with that character.....
  8. You have a problem with things being ghey?! You.....you......GHEY-IST~!~!
  9. Has Damaramu been played out?
  10. Notes: -Enjoyed the whole interaction between Tony & Feech. Not sure where the whole thing with Feech being sent back to prison is going. I'm guessing he could figure Tony was behind this, and we'll attempt to put a hit out on him for revenge. Also wonder if the storyline where Tony realizes he may not actually have any REAL friends is going anywhere. -Was the point of the A.J. storyline tonight to really hammer home the point that he's a douchebag? What's the point of making him so damn unlikable? The Krazy Glue incident was alright. -Christ, when will they have SOMETHING for Meadow to do this season where she's on screen for more than 2 minutes? -Should have included SOMETHING on the Junior/Janice/Bobby storyline, considering it was the main focus last week. -Liked the A.J./Carmela/Tony storyline. It managed to be both dramatic and realistic, with some bits of humor thrown in. I'm not usually a HUGE fan of the immediate family aspect of the Sopranos, but it worked tonight. All in all, another pretty good episode tonight. The bits with Adriana look like they could be interesting next week as well.
  11. What about "Titanic"? For the sequel, the whole movie can be rewound. We'll start with the sunken ship in the water. Jack will rise back up from the deep, the ship will resurface and join together, and the people will begin jumping off the lifeboats back onto the deck. Everyone can live happily ever after. Easy money. ......however, a sequel to "The Passion of the Christ" may be a little tougher to handle. I just don't know if a tale of the Macabees will draw as much as Jesus.
  12. My personal favorite Triple Threat is Austin/Angle/RVD at No Mercy 2001. I don't really think that match gets the respect it deserves.
  13. Maven has a good amount of charisma - but WWE just doesn't showcase it right. If you watched the Tough Enough I episode when they shot promos, Maven was by far the best one out of all of them. He was even better than some of the guys currently in WWE. Yet, with the character Vince has Maven portraying, that charisma just doesn't shine through. If they made him a heel, I think he could become one of the more charismatic superstars on Raw. And personally, I think Garrison Cade and Mark Jindrak far surpass Maven in the race of uselessness. Forgetting the fact that they are part of WWE's future, they don't really have anything else going for them character-wise or skill-wise. In my opinion, Maven gets a bad rap. He has a decent amount of wrestling skill that would improve with experience, we've already seen he has the charisma and interview skills.....I think he could be a lot better if Vince would just open his eyes and put him in a different role.
  14. What about grape Snapple?
  15. CC, don't be silly. Have you even read most of the posts? We're nearly all in agreement that Austin probably beat her up because she refused to drink beer. And who knows, she could have committed a dastardly deed like messing around with his ATV or something. Y'all don't mess with Texas!
  16. Adam, this may come as a shock, but you don't appear to be the nice person you claim you are.
  17. The hell kind of nickname is the Czech Republic?
  18. She was telling her parapsychologist, whose name was Eldridge, to fire someone who's nickname was "Golden Gate." Golden Gate was standing right near her, so she felt she had to mouth the words instead of saying them out loud. The incident in San Francisco was just a coincidence. "Eldridge, fire 'Golden Gate'" Thank you. Now where's my prize?
  19. Well, the aftershocks of this lottery that has SHAKEN WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT TO ITS VERY CORE must have knocked the memories of tag team championships out of the heads of Booker T and RVD. I mean, Angle forgot all about his hatred of Eddie Guerrero and the whole idea of lying, cheating, and stealing. IT'S THE AFTERSHOCKS~!~! And that whole issue between Rey Misterio and Chavo? *ground shakes* Guess what the cause is!! They said things wouldn't be the same after that earth-shattering lottery. Obviously, they weren't lying.
  20. You obviously didn't get the sophistication of the joke. He was talking about testicles, but he acted as if he was talking about a salty, shelled treat instead. What marvelous wit!! I hope you now realize the hilarity of his double-entendre.
  21. I just thought they looked a little tentative/sloppy, that's all. It wasn't awful by any means. Well, yeah. I would think they would be a little tentative. This was the first time Van Dam and Haas were in the ring together. And, on Raw, RVD wasn't used to wrestling this somewhat technical style anyway. Besides Ric Flair and occasionally Triple H, it was mostly power wrestlers that he faced. It could take some time to get used to the different style of wrestling on Smackdown.
  22. Er....I didn't see the ugliness of that match.... Sure, Van Dam didn't sell the leg like he should have. But besides that, where was the problem? He looked more motivated here than he has been in months. I thought he did just fine in a TV match against a guy that barely wrestles any singles matches, and has only been in WWE for a little more than a year. Am I missing something here?
  23. Damn that Rob Van Dam! His opening match vs. Orlando Jordan didn't draw dick! Time to push him down to Velocity jobber vs. Orlando Jordan and.....Orlando Jordan. And that masked Japanese dude too! Silly goose . . . Rey Mysterio is Spanish. I think he was talking about that Ultimate Chameleon guy. In that case, it would be best to make sure there aren't any floor video screens nearby.
  24. Who would? .....I know you can't be talking about me. I'd be thrilled if WWE fired Bradshaw, and they gave a title shot to someone that was much more deserving. WWE already fired the more talented member of the APA.
