  1. Don't make me eat you, 5 large fries, a dozen donuts, a couple hamburgers, and that half-eaten chicken burger in the garbage Hmmm... Stop putting words in his mouth and start shoveling in Super-Size fries.
  2. Aaron Boone was terrible for the Yankees. In the grand scheme of things, he hit one meaningful homerun....and that was it. The rest was spectacularly unmemorable or just plain bad. He was unreliable as a third baseman, and they are certainly not much worse for having lost him. Especially when they have replaced him with Alex Rodriguez. Alfonso Soriano? Yeah, that could hurt a little. But anyone who thinks that they won't go shopping for a high-priced, all-star second baseman during the season is kidding themselves. They'll eventually put some huge star at second base, and have a ridiculously good infield. Acquisition of A-Rod >>>>>>>>>> Losing Boone and Soriano. Boone wasn't that good to begin with, and is being replaced by one of the best players in the game, and Soriano will be replaced by someone even better.....probably by the All-Star game. I really don't think the A-Rod situation is overblown. The competitive balance has been thrown completely out of whack. Evidence? A few weeks ago, people were saying that there was a chance the Orioles or the Jays could sneak up and swipe the AL East....why, it had potential to be one of the more unpredictable divisions this season. Is anyone saying that now? No, it's back to the Yankees and the Red Sox....with everyone in baseball giving the advantage to the Yanks. The unpredictibility that lasted for a few weeks is gone - and that's terrible.
  3. Um, because we have enough god damned 'non-wrestlers' on WWE TV as it is, and this would only worsen the problem. I'm all for Bret coming back for *one night* to give a speech and launch a DVD compilation of his favourite matches, but anything more would only breed resentment for Bret from the fans. See Austin, Steve. UYI Austin is resented by the fans? Then those popcorn vendors must be getting HUGE support because, otherwise, it's Stone Cold getting those cheers. Steve Austin....Mick Foley....Vince McMahon(when he plays a face)......many non-wrestlers have been known to get large pops. Would Bret eventually be resented by the Internet community if he appeared on Raw every week? Probably. Would he be resented by the fan base? You can't say for sure. Foley and Austin are now getting some of the biggest pops on Raw, and they haven't wrestled in months (Foley finally doing it at Mania). I don't think it's a guarantee the fans would get tired of Bret after a few weeks.
  4. You have a point. Fine then, Jobber used the term "idiot." You can't get much more HARDCORE than that!
  5. Someone said the word "breasts".
  6. I would think the overwhelming majority of people in the Raw thread are already watching Raw and, therefore, are able to comment on it. But maybe I'm wrong.
  7. To thank you for your undying support, Jeff Weaver hopes your birthday goes as well as his stint with the Yankees.
  8. Besus and Drury don't bother me too much. Sure, Besus sucks and all, but he only posts when people start trashing Orton. Drury isn't too bad either. The lame putdowns directed at him and ended with "Thanks" or "You're welcome" are much worse. But my votes would go to... Bring Back Charlie Ward!! Big surprise. And it has nothing to do with some putdown.....I don't even remember one, unless you're talking about that embarrassing horse one. I just think you're terribly unfunny. When you stick to actual wrestling points, you aren't too bad because you actually appear to be a little knowledgeable. But some of your comments in the Raw thread.....I cringe just thinking about them. Let's not forget Patrick and his infamous "ARGH!! KILL TRIPLE H!! PUT A BULLET THROUGH HIS HEAD!!" shtick. He lives for complaining. For a while, it was Damaramu interjecting every OAO Raw thread with caps about them burying Benoit, and HBK being the Anti-Christ, and stuff like that. But he's stayed away from the WWE folder for a while, so I have no problem with him at this point. Oh, and occasionally, Deon Dark's intelligent picture posts of something that we just saw a minute ago, followed by the ever-popular: " " Picture of Victoria? . Promo for Benoit/Michaels? . Never fails. Luckily, I'm not annoying to anybody.

    WMXX Match Order

I don't care how big the hype is for Goldberg/Brock. It's Goldberg's last night in WWE, and I doubt they'll want someone who isn't even loyal to the company to close out the biggest WWE show of all time. With that said.... 1. RAW Tag Team Titles 2. Jericho vs. Christian 3. Evening Gown Match 4. Cruiserweight Open 5. U.S. Title Match 6. Mick Foley/The Rock vs. Batista/Orton 7. Woman's Title Match 8. Goldberg/Lesnar 9. Angle/Guerrero 10. Kane/Taker 11. Triple Threat Match (I don't see a Smackdown Tag Title match making the card) I do believe there is a serious possibility they could close out the show with Kane/Taker. It would build up the anticipation for Taker's return at a fever-pitch (the fans know they're saving him for last, and the roof will just blow off of MSG), and it would honor 2 guys that have been loyal to the company for years. I wouldn't really LIKE to see them Main-Event WrestleMania XX, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if they did.
  10. It's about time "Lord of the Rings" actually won something tonight!
  11. .....time to play the music on Penn.....
  12. Presenter: And the "Best Actor" award goes to..... *stagehand runs on stage and whispers into the presenter's ear* Presenter: What's that.....you sure? Er....okay......the award goes to that hobbit kid from LORD OF THE RINGS!!! *crowd APPLAUDS!!* *Elijah CHEERS!!* *SmartMarks EXPLODE!!* *Jackson EATS........HAM!!* Wonderful night for all!
  13. Er.....Charlize....typically, you get on the stage.....
  14. Wait..... ...... ......"Lord of the Rings" actually won an award?
  15. It may have been some "Lord of the Rings" type jab. Australia.....New Zealand......somewhat near each other, but not really..... Jokes are dangerous in the hands of those who cannot use them.
  16. Nope. It's been jobbed out all right... ok...that's just wishful thinking...nah it's sweeping the damn show. You DON'T SAY!!! I didn't gather that from the comments around here
  17. So guys, I haven't been watching the Oscars too much tonight. Been too preoccupied. Has "Lord of the Rings" won anything yet?
  18. Have you ever thought about making a gimmick poster named "Slovakia"?
  19. *yawn* This anti-bandwagon thing is getting a little old. What bandwagon? Mystic River was an infinitely superior movie. That's fine. You have your own opinion. But it's tiring to read people saying that LOTR doesn't deserve to win any big awards, and that they would be happy seeing anybody else win. Return of the King was STILL one of the best movies of the year, even if you may think Mystic River or Lost in Translation were better. There would certainly be no shame in watching it win Best Picture, and it's silly for some to act as if it has no right winning the top Oscar.
  20. *yawn* This anti-bandwagon thing is getting a little old.
  21. That's nice. Tim Robbins brought his mother to the Oscars. Wait....Susan Sarandon is his GIRLFRIEND?! Shock#2 so far.
  22. Choken, if I didn't know better, I'd say you're somewhat of a post whore. And Tim Robbins is winning this one. I'd be shocked if he didn't.
  23. Crystal forgot to end the ending to that song. .....this monologue blows.
  24. Funny I guess.....although not as good as the other opening package when he hosted. The only real laugh-out-loud moment was the part with Michael Moore.
  25. Why is that horse attending the Academy Awards?! Wait, that's Sofia Coppola....shit.
