If it made money in 2000 it is gold. Ladder matches haven't meant much in a long time. Psycology has to go into the match, like the TNA cage match. They could have thrown a gimmick in there and called it a day, but they used a cage because XXX used a 3 on 2 advantage. Then at the end of the match Skipper was locked out of the cage, giving AMW a 2 on 1 advantage for a change. That right there made the match great. But when you are in a series of matches, like RVD and Christian and you just say "LADEER MATCH NEXT WEEK" then it doesn't mean anything because whats the point? But if Christian had used the belt to win week after week, or something, then it would have meant something.

I dont think Im wrong. Theres a reason why Jeff Hardy got over quicker than Dean Malenko or Chris Benoit did. Or more over. And Jeff didn't even touch the microphone in his good days I dont think.
-
Punch, since you seem to be so hell bent on getting the point over than Raven is fueding with a manager... A) Why is a quote from a Raven promo towards Mitchell in your sig B) When you told me that Raven writes his own programs and I told you get mad at him and not TNA or Jarrett, why did you continue to piss and shit on Jarrett anyways?
-
He doesn't realize it because he is stupid. I have tried so hard to hold that in, but the guy is a goddamn idiot. Barron, sure, he "blasts" TNA every day and are sometimes valid points, but punch keeps saying "Raven needs the book. BUT NO. DADDY'S BOY HAS IT" For one, ITS JEFFS JEFFS JEFFS JEFFS JEFFS JEFFS JEFFS JEFFS JEFFS JEFFS JEFFS GODDAMN COMPANY. Jeff runs it. Jerry lends advice. Read that 40 times or until you get dizzy. Raven is OVER. He is the most over person in the company. Back in 1997 when Austin was running around stunning everyone in the company for no reason, HE WAS OVER. AND HE FUEDED WITH HIS FUCKING BOSS. A NON WRESTLER. But did he have the belt? NO. HBK did. Was Austin more over than Michaels? YES. Maybe you need to learn the meaning of buried. Kane was buried. RVD was buried. AJ Styles is not buried. He has the title and he is actually in main event matches and good matches once every month. Kane lost his fued and belt in one month. RVD has no skills on the mic and went out against Triple H and lost his fued in a month. Styles has been in 3 or 4 good matches during his reign. Sure, he isn't getting the push you want, but thats what EWR is for. Yeah, the current incarnation of the X-Division is a joke and you were probably one of the many who nutted over the Super X tourny a few weeks ago. Dutch Mantel's booking isn't Memphis influenced. Its the same as Russo's shock TV, except Mantel knows how to use it better. Mantel hasn't even written one show yet so how is he bringing in guys "already". Besides Vampiro, no one new has even come in yet.

I still dont think that stupid chain, mat wrestling stuff will draw. Spotfests get more fans than any other matches. Spot matches and hardcore matches. Maybe Im wrong.
-
Well, if Styles is so great in the ring, that means he got over in the ring, which means his reign was nothing like Jericho's as his reign never got over. Am I right?
-
The Styles/Jericho comparisons are as annoying as RAW's booking. Could it be ::gasp:: that its a fact that some people aren't made for the world title? Styles isn't exactly Mr. Charisma
-
Eventually he would, so whats the big f'n deal?

I dunno about the Hogan/JJ thingy Pena is the AAA promoter.
-
I typed that. Vamprio, Vampiro, whatever. My arms hurt.
-
This is typed directly from the 10/11 Torch... For the past several months, Vince Russo and Glen Gilberti have tried unsuccessfully to convince Jeff Jarrett to turn heel. Once the Hulk Hogan talks started, Jarrett thought that it was nessacery for him to turn heel and face Hogan in the main event at the PPV. The new plan is for Vince Russo to turn on AJ Styles and help Jarrett win the NWA Title when Jarrett and Styles face off later this month. Then it starts talking about how Russo will put aside his differences for Hogan and work with him and stuff like that. "Wrestlers backstage say Mantel was more involved in Wednesday's show than he was last week." The 9/24 show was written by Jarrett, Disco and Russo. Jeff uses Jerry as a sounding board for all major decisions. Jerry still sits in the gorilla position with Jeff and watches the matches on a monitor. One wrestler Jerry spends alot of time with is RAVEN (but why? They want to bury all title contender's right? Not be their friend, right?). Raven tells other wrestlers that he learns alot from spending 15-20 minutes a week with the elder Jarrett. Antonio Pena and Konnan were in the same locker room for the first time since they broke off their business relationship years ago (I think 10?). Vamprio, a former enemy of Konnan, was a big part in bringing them together. Scott D'Amore's position might be in jeporady now that Mantel is in. His work gets strong reviews, but its expensive to fly him in from Canada every week. Russo and Mantel are trying to work together. Russo says he will work with anyone for the good of the company. Mantel had a backstage talk with Kid Kash after Kash disagreed with James Storm and Chris Harris over how their tag match should have been booked last week. Vamprio has rubbed a few agents the wrong way by suggesting too many ideas for his character. The storyline is for Raven and Mitchell, not Raven and Vampiro and Vamp isn't too happy about being a supporting character. Wrestlers are concerned with Shane Douglas's behavior. He has been seen sitting in the parking lot in his car by himself before shows and not acting like himself. AJ Styles was told a few weeks ago that he was gonna be turned face again and was not happy as he has finally been able to get the crowd to turn against him. ------ Whew thats alot of typing. How do they do it, HOW DO THEY DO IT?
-
Goddamn. The man owns the fucking company. If he wants to put himself on the website, let him do it. Jesus.
-
Monty was cool. Him and Truth would have made a good tag team. The Malice character rawks~! Apolo is good too. He has TEH LOOK~!
-
This has nothing to do with the thread, but your sig should read "Forgive the promotor, as he know not what he do"
-
At least you could reverse in the game.
-
Well then thats just stupid.
-
Did you not read what I said?
-
Hey Philip, SUMMER IS MY GIRL. Get your own buddy. You can have Melissa.
-
IGN has already said that TNA and EA asked them to take out the parts about EA doing the game from their interview. So, now, quit crying.
-
Which brings up another question. Whenever a rating drop occurs, people say "NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THAT" or "NO ONE WATCHES ANYMORE" or something, but when a boycott is scheduled, people say "RATINGS ARE ONLY DRAWN FROM A HANDFUL OF PEOPLE. IVE NEVER SEEN A NIELSON BOX."
-
No drawing? WTF are you talking about?
-
Heres a question for everyone to answer. Whenever someone's run in the WWE is horrible, it is always blamed on the writing team. What makes Hogan's last run so different that everyone attacks him with 2x4's for not popping a buyrate or attendance levels?
-
And we know it is Acclaim how? Everyone thought Acclaim would go to WCW when THQ left them, but EA went instead. Maybe Namco or Sony or something will pick up the license. Theres more than 3 video game companies out there, and there are probably more than 3 who would be interested in doing a game, but you know what? With one 1 company, what games are the other companys gonna make?
-
WHERE IS ACCLAIMS NAME????
-
1) What positive effects will Hogan have? TV deal, older Hogan fans 2) Will the positives outweight the negatives(pissed off fans, workers, etc....)? Name workers in the WWE who specifically said they hated Hogan while in the WWE and name fans who dont type on message boards who were pissed with him returning? 3) Will Hogan be worth his asking price to come in? Do you even know his asking price?
