Also worth mentioning that the director died during the making of the movie, so its completion was sort of like his deathwish... his son finished the direction up, based on his notes. The original was built more off of direction than acting (aside from Kitano who did GREAT, and all of the kids doing very well with their individual parts)... so we'll see how this goes. And not just any director, but one of the best Japanese directors of recent times.
