West Virginia/Maryland kicks off in a few minutes. Mountaineers would take a huge step towards a possible 11-0 regular season with a win.

I've gone over this, teams who play a team who forfeited will not be penalized. A team's points against when playing a team that forfeited will be one less point than the number of points they score. Last week AlwaysPissedOff pick 14 games right and for his opponents score I put 13. The team that forfeits gets a 0 in both columns.

So why wasn't there a Yankees/Red Sox thread created? Do we really need this thread cluttered with conversation about that meaningless series? They're both going to the playoffs and homefield in the baseball playoffs don't mean much at all.
-
Appreciate the feat, don't appreciate the player. I really have no desire at all to see Bonds break the homerun record. As for the Yankees/Red Sox series, sorry the wild card has made it meaningless.

Incomplete Week 3 Useless Information -The Everyone Agrees Picks: Michigan over San Diego State, Wisconsin over Arizona (came so close to picking U of A), USC over BYU. -Games with the most differing picks: LSU vs. Auburn a virtual tie 15-15, Florida over Tennessee 16-14, Pittsburgh over Nebraska 16-14. -JHawk (Kent State) was the only poster to pick Oregon over Oklahoma -Cartman (USC) has more balls than all of you. He picked UAB over Florida State. -Not So Useless Information: By being late on their picks (thus not having a chance at a point for tonight's game or winning by tiebreak) and only differing on one pick, Oregon (nogoodnick) has already lost to Oklahoma (Damaramu).

Again like I mentioned I can't quite figure out FSN's regional coverage. Out here on Fox Sports Bay Area neither late game is being shown even though there is no A's or Giants game being shown in that time slot. I would have liked to see the Iowa/Arizona State game but I'm thinking that game and the Idaho/Wazzu game are limited to local markets only.
-
National t.v. schedule for this week. FSN's regional coverage is sporadic so I'm not sure if you'll actually have a game to see in both of their regional time slots. I believe most of the country will get TCU/Texas Tech but it might only be local markets for the other games. Those games and ABC regional games are marked with an asterisk. West coast will get the late game (UCLA/Washington) and the rest of country will get the early game (Nebraska/Pittsburgh). Despite one good game being postponed (Cal/Southern Miss) and one other in jeopardy (LSU/Auburn) this is definently the best week of games to this point of the season. FRIDAY Connecticut at Boston College, 8:00/5:00 PM, ESPN2 SATURDAY Nebraska at Pittsburgh, Noon/9:00 AM, ABC* San Diego State at #17 Michigan, Noon/9:00 AM, ESPN #21 Maryland at #7 West Virginia, Noon/9:00 AM, ESPN2 TCU at Texas Tech, 12:30 PM/9:30 AM, FSN* Northern Illinois at Iowa State, 12:30 PM/9:30 AM, FSN* #5 LSU at #14 Auburn, 3:30/12:30 PM, CBS #9 Ohio State at N.C. Night before the first game of the week (a night later) so I'll post my picks and the PM'd picks now. No update on Cal/So. Miss but it definently seems like it won't be played until December. Yet another poor outing by Mark Mulder is in progress. I have no idea what has happened to him as he's just completely fallen off a cliff the last five or six weeks.
-
It does have one redeeming quality left about it and that's the up to the minute highlights. I actually mentioned back early in the season that Kruk had the stance of whoever has the most wins in the Cy Young and that he didn't care about ERA. Remember when he said Jarrod Washburn was his Cy Young pick through the first month of the season? Washburn had an ERA over 5 at the time but because he was getting a ridiculous amount of run support he led the league in the wins for a brief period of time. I guess in Kruk's mind a team is inspired to score runs for their pitcher.

A_MikeSC has taken the spot for Georgia.
-
Possibly. I have a back up plan in place and I'm thinking of giving you an option of what you want to do if I don't find a replacement by Friday. I've asked two posters, one didn't respond and the other said they weren't interested. I've asked one more person and if I don't hear from them by tommorrow then I have only one other person in mind. I definently don't want a dead team for the rest of the year. Edit: Okay that person has declined as well.

sfajack your getting your relievers mixed up. Frankie Francisco was the one who the threw the chair not Francisco Cordero. I'm not defending the heckler and I hate drunken idiots at games but this has been going on for YEARS in every sport. It's part of the game and players do have to put up with it. It should be noted also it was Doug Brocail who lost it at first and was the one who went at the fan. If he had just blown the guy off, like 99.9% of professional of athletes do when they are confronted with heckling, none of this would have happened. What was also amazing last night that the national media hadn't picked up on is the Rangers tried to demand the A's forfeit the game. Fofeit for what?
-
Well crap that screws up the tiebreak. For the moment everyone keep submitting picks for that game and the tiebreak just in case they play it Saturday.
-
From the chair throwing incident last night when it originally happened I was like "oh shit a fan must have come on the field or thrown something" but from what is coming out about the story it was just a fan talking shit. The woman who got hit with the chair broke her nose. Francisco is screwed.
-
Wasn't there that one a few years ago at Wrigley where some Dodger players (I think it was the Dodgers) who went into the stands? Regardless of what the circumstances were Francisco is going to get a pretty big suspension and probably a lawsuit as well.
-
In the A's/Rangers game a near brawl just happened between a Rangers player and a fan. I have no idea how it started the only footage shown is a Ranger reliever and a fan jarring at each other then all the Rangers stormed from the dugout and eventually a Ranger threw a chair at the fan. Truly bizarre. Edit: Frankie Francisco was the one who threw the chair. The chair ended up hitting some woman in the head. The Rangers want a forfeit.
-
I've decided to have the tiebreakers relate to the early games now. Thursday games will have the #2 tiebreaker about a specific player. Friday games will the #1 tiebreaker about total points. I'm working on finding a replacment for Georgia. Week 3 Deadlines Edited as the Cal/So Miss game has been postponed. For the amount of money Oregon spends on it's football program it shouldn't be losing to Indiana at home. In other news...STANFORD~ pummled BYU 37-10. Hey remember BYU beat Notre Dame who beat Michigan. That means Stanford should be in the Top 10! Er, um, maybe not.
