  1. Reggie Bush is just on another planet. Stanford's defense didn't need a three and out by the offense after that draining 14 play drive that thankfully ended in a missed chip shot field goal.
  2. I will be shocked if the baseball writers actually give Randy Johnson the Cy Young. There's just no way they'll give the award to a pitcher with a .500 record and no starting pitcher in a non-strike year has ever won the award with fewer than 17 wins. I think Clemens will end up winning it.
  3. They've been showing Pac-10 and Big 12 games since last year. Spicy McHaggis. I actually kinda adopted USC last year since I am Pac-10 fan but Stanford is the team I grew up rooting for.
  4. HOLY SHIT!!!! Stanford trying to run out the clock in the first half and J.R. Lemon takes it the distance!!!!!!!!! 28-17 at the half.
  5. Fake field goal run for the touchdown, 21-10 Stanford!
  6. Stanford takes a 14-10 lead on USC in the 2nd quarter. I'm not going to get too excited just yet but Stanford just looks great and the have USC defense completely confused right now.
  7. Let's see Cubs lose, A's lose to the Angels, Giants about to beat the Dodgers. Ugh. If the Rangers win tonight my day is officially ruined.
  8. Additional match-ups decided thru Wazzu/U of A game: Bowling Green (iggymcfly) def. #6 Miami (Spaceman Spiff) Oregon (nogoodnick) def. #7 Auburn (Agent of Oblivion) Stanford (Bored) def. USC (Cartman); I own the tiebreak Tennesse (Kotzenjunge) def. Boston College (HarleyQuinn); Kotz owns tiebreak Florida State (2GOLD) def. Texas (Flyboy); 2GOLD owns tiebreak West Virginia (Loaded Glove) def. Michigan State (Dangerous A) Georgia (A_MikeSC) def. UCLA (phoenixrising)
  9. And Arizona fumbles it trying to run out the clock and Wazzu runs it back for a touchdown to take the lead. Unbelievable. No wait, player ruled down by contact. Wazzu ball.
  10. Sosa has had a slight decline in numbers the previous two years as well. I wouldn't get my hopes up on him turning it around next year. Not everyone can be Barry Bonds and not have a decline in their career as they get older.
  11. Match-ups decided thru today's early games. Minnesota (Vern Gagne) def. Boise State (Rob E Dangerously) by forfeit Florida (Agent Bond34) def. #9 Oklahoma (Damaramu) #2 Ohio State (Gert T) def. #5 Alabama (AlwaysPissedOff); Gert owns the tiebreak #8 Syracuse (Canadian Chris) def. #1 (Edwin MacPhisto); Chris owns the tiebreak Washington State (bravesfan) def. #3 Hawaii (Will Scarlet) Rutgers (the pinjockey) def. Arizona State (Spicy McHaggis); pinjockey owns the tiebreak
  12. Virginia Tech misses a field goal in the final second to lose 17-16 to N.C. State. Wake Forest just connected on a long touchdown pass to go up 17-14 on Boston College with about a minute left in the game.
  13. I need to start double checking the t.v. schedule. Florida/Kentucky is on ESPN2 right now instead of later. I have Dish Network and BC/Wake is on the ESPN2 alternate channel. Also looking at the channel guide for the FSN games I'm getting Rice/Texas but not the Oregon State/Arizona State game. I guess OSU/ASU is local only which is a real damn shame.
  14. Boise State's 13 game winning streak in serious jeopardy, down 27-22 in the 4th to BYU. They led 16-0 at one point. Edit: BYU's kicker misses a 38-yard field goal to win it. Boise State survives 28-27.
  15. Big bounce back night for the A's. Now back to three games up on the Angels and Rangers. Magic number is 7. Nice bonus for me, Dodgers beat the Giants.
  16. Eric Byrnes two-run homer puts the A's up 5-1 in the 4th.
  17. A's jump out on Escobar in the first for three runs.
  18. Mild upset as Northern Illinois beats Bowling Green 34-17. Boise State and the blue turf on ESPN now.
  19. You can't change your picks so your Arizona picks stays. You're stuck with the zero, sorry.
  20. Texans - 20 points Arizona Cincinnati Minnesota N.Y. Giants Kansas City Tennessee St. Louis Detroit Pittsburgh San Diego Green Bay Seattle Tampa Bay Dallas
  21. Houston has been surprisingly competitive tonight with Miami. Although you know the game is over as Corso is talking about the Yankees and Red Sox.
  22. Week 4 Useless Information -Not many differing picks yet only one pick everyone agreed on: Florida over Kentucky. -With the lack of differing picks the biggest variation in picks was Arkansas over Alabama 20-11. -On their own this week: JHawk (Kent State) lost his mind was the only poster to pick Houston over Miami and Stanford over USC; Spaceman Spiff (Miami) picked Washington over Notre Dame; Dangerous A (Michigan State) picked Northwestern over Minnesota.
  23. Before I post the match-up breakdowns as I alluded to in the pick thread I want to present two ideas to you guys on how I should handle dead teams. It appears Boise State will forfeit for a second straight week and effectively end any chance of anyone taking over that team winning the contest so I will declare it dead. I do not want forfeits for the rest of the year for Boise State so here are my two ideas: Idea #1: I will have Boise State (or any other dead team) pick the favorites for each game based on the point spread. Idea #2: I will let someone already in the contest volunteer (it would be first come, first serve although not until I make a decision on which idea I use) to take over Boise State. It can not be anyone still on Boise State's schedule and they would have to make the same picks for Boise that they make for their own team. For either idea Boise State will be on "probation" and can not participate in the Pac-8 Conference Championship or any bowl game. Let me know what idea you guy's prefer and I'll make a decision on it this weekend. 24. It's Tim Hudson vs. Chan Ho Park today in Texas and you'd think the A's would win easily but so far down 2-1 in the 4th. If the A's can't win this one then it might be panic time.
