  1. Damn ABC not giving the rest of the country bonus coverage of the Clemson/Georgia Tech game so we could have seen the incredible last few minutes.
  2. Score of the Day: New Hampshire 35, Rutgers 24 Good to know after beating Michigan State that deep down Rutgers is still Rutgers. Hey Baylor won today! Okay it was against I-AA Texas State and they only won by seven but look out Big 12 Baylor is on the rise! Florida Atlantic is doing well for themselves a year before they join I-A as they beat North Texas today, a week after beating Hawaii.

Tony Saunders was a rookie and actually didn't make a start in the postseason. Probably wouldn't been on the postseason roster if Alex Fernandez wasn't injured. He was taken in the expansion draft by the Devil Rays and after a decent '98 he was terrible in '99 and was never heard from again.

  5. Typical Ohio State pull one out of their ass win. 55 yard field goal by Mike Nugent wins it.
  6. With A&M/Wyoming and Colorado/Wazzu over here is the update list of games that are decided: #9t Alabama (AlwaysPissedOff) def. The rookies Bobby Crosby and Moneyball's #1 draft pick Nick Swisher hit back-to-back homeruns in the 8th today to save the A's for a 5-4 win and avoid a six game losing streak.
  9. Games decided thru Saturday's early games: #9t Alabama (AlwaysPissedOff) def. 10. Hey firing Frank Solich really worked out, huh?
  11. They'll be replaced unless I suddenly hear from the guy this weekend. I definently don't want any team being a free win all year. Ironically enough they were a replacement for a Week 1. A reminder when it comes to forfeits the winning team will not be penalized when it comes to points against. For example if APO picks 15 games right this week it will go in his points against as 14. The team that forfeited of course gets a zero across the board.
  12. The list has great credibility with "The Fan" at #1. That movie is a complete train wreck and I've watched it about 20 times simply because it's so incredibly bad. I seriously doubt the director had ever watched a baseball game in their life. And as the article how do you screw up a movie with Robert DeNiro playing a psycho, Wesley Snipes as a baseball player, and let's not forget Benicio Del Toro in a supporting role.
  13. Fresno State pretty much puts away Kansas State going up 38-14 and they are on their way to the Top 25. The race between them and Boise State in the WAC is going to be a good one.
  14. Never heard from Kingofthe909 (Georgia) so he forfeits. Here were AlwaysPissedOff's (Alabma) picks: Missouri Miami Oregon State Wisconsin Arizona State Nebraska UCLA Fresno State Michigan Colorado Ohio State Virgina Texas A&M Georgia Oklahoma USC Clemson Penn State Alabama Texas TB #1: 42 points TB #2: 253

Oh goody the A's have lost five in a row now and their lead over the Angels is back down to one game. Just fucking great.
  16. Rix actually had a pretty good year last season overall. Maybe they thought he'd pull a Carson Palmer and finally have that one, huge breakout year.
  17. I actually knew a couple of weeks ago looking at the schedule this week we'd have a lot of agreement on picks. I did think someone might take a chance on South Carolina over Georgia. If Notre Dame had shown any signs of life last week a few probably would have picked them. Now next week will be fun but we'll get into that...um next week.
  18. Agent Bond34 comes closest on the FSU/Miami score with 24. Useless Information (since it looks like we'll have our first forfeit) -People are too damn agreeable this week: Missouri over Troy State (HA!), Wisconsin over UNLV, Michigan over Notre Dame (yikes), Ohio State over Marshall, Virginia over North Carolina, Georgia over South Carolina, Oklahoma over Houston, USC over Colorado State. -Only game with any real dissagreement over who will win: Penn State over Boston College, 17-14. -No one really went out on a limb this week with a big upset.
  19. Chris Rix is no fucking soldier. Miami puts them out of their misery quickly. Now off to ESPN and the BLUE TURF~! Boise State has erased a 14-0 defecit and gone up 20-14 at the half against Oregon State.
  20. Rix made his best effort to throw an interception on the last play. What are the odds FSU wins in overtime? 100-1? I'm trying to figure out who Brad Nessler pissed off before last season to lose the #1 spot back to Musburger. Brent started losing his mind 10 years ago. I'm already having to mute Aaron Taylor at halftime.
  21. Florida State misses a field goal against Miami. The hell you say! At least it was blocked this time.
  22. Ugly first half but what do you expect with two good defenses against Chris Rix and Brock Berlin. You still get the feeling Florida State will figure out some way to lose this.
  23. Still one team left to submit picks but I'll go ahead and post this thread since both games tonight will have an impact on this week's match-ups. I'm thinking of possibly having the tiebreakers be related to the Thursday and Friday games every week (like this week) as it puts a big emphasis on getting your picks in on time and you lose out on tiebreaks if you don't get them in time. Anyways here are match-up breakdowns for this week. 25. North Texas has been undefeated the last two years in conference play. This is Troy's first year in the conference and oddly enough the team they have a bye this year against is North Texas. I bet the conference kicking themselves now for that. Baylor should move to the Sun Belt. They'd have a shot at 3rd.
