I remember the ratings really swelled when Kane took his mask off, as it seemed people were interested in his new character advancement. And then, well, "here came the money"...
-
I would have been happy with "WWFE" to be honest. It was already their stock name.

I'm sure HHH is in his mid-to-late 30s.

Lesnar's first title reign ended less than 3 months after it started.

I remember reading in an Observer from mid-2004 that Sid apparently told his close friends that he set a goal of returning to WWE full-time by December 2004. Guess he didn't make it.

Edge & Christian teamed on RAW back in late-2004 and there was no noticeable ratings spike.
-
Raw drew a 4.0 rating, perhaps slightly disappointing given all the hype for Batista's big announcement since it was just 0.1 higher than last week. On the bright side, the overrun with Batista popped a 5.0 rating, a full rating point above the 4.0 the previous full quarter hour drew. The tag match with Shawn Michaels & Randy Orton vs. Edge & Christian drew strong 4.1 and 4.2 quarter hour ratings when it was on, above any other segment on the show. credit: PWTorch

How exactly did Jericho "bow down to the bookers"?

Could Van Dam be a viable WWE main eventer?
Enigma replied to Superfly Snuka's topic in The WWE Folder
The whole "RVD sucks on the mic" thing is bullshit. Watching his promos from ECW prove he knows what he's doing. WWE just puts him in situations to come off like a total lush. And as far as I'm concerned, his feud with HHH completely killed any drawing ability he had. HHH made him look like a total jobber. -
Yes, let's forget about the fact that he was in WWF Championship main event in the next month's PPV.

He's right. That's why historically, Chris Jericho was one of the weakest WWE Champions ever. I can't recall a match he ever won clean. He had to cheat to beat Maven. Back when Maven wrestled in track-pants. And then, less than 7 days after losing the belt, he beat Matt Hardy clean on Smackdown. I really think they had it out for him.

John Laurinaitis is an idiot?

And put over Evolution.

The Rock was quoted in the New York Daily News this week talking about his contract with WWE expiring. "I wasn't contacted or notified or anything like that," said Rock. "It wasn't until my own team had basically congratulated me - 'Oh my God, what a wonderful career you've had. Congratulations!' - that [i realized it]. I wish it would have went down a little bit differently, and that part I am sad about." The article goes on to say that WWE said the contract was mistakenly allowed to end. "Somebody dropped the ball, and everybody, including Vince, has apologized to The Rock." McMahon, the rep added, plans to fix the situation at the earliest opportunity. Rock has made it clear in many interviews since late December that he was hurt when WWE didn't even make an attempt to renew his contract. The lengths Rock has taken to make it clear he wants to remain part of the WWE family offsets any criticism of him in the past that he was trying to distance himself from his pro wrestling background. Rock had a perfect opportunity to write-off that part of his life and move on to being exclusively an actor. He's not wishing to stay in WWE for the money since movies are paying him immensely more than a WWE contract will. There is still a chance Rock could make an appearance at WrestleMania 21 given the way both sides are talking about wanting to fix the situation. credit: New York Daily News/PWTorch ==== I'm sure this is the first severe blemish on John Laurinaitis' track record as V.P. of Talent Relations since taking over the job since he is the one in charge of these matters.

All of my casual wrestling fan friends love watching Khosrow Daivari at ringside because he's always screaming and running around.
-
WM20 didn't end with a pinfall. =)
-
"Wow, he doesn't look as ripped in person as he did in the videos." -- Casual wrestling fan watching Raw with me. I feel bad for poor Stevie Richards. Not only does he have to put over every new hoss that comes along on Raw, he gets injured by them.
-
At least Hogan and Flair actually used the barbed wire as a weapon. Hogan got wirecutters, tore some of it down, and pulled it down to the ring. JBL & Big Show didn't do jack shit.
-
I smell a topic closing.
-
Maybe that's why I had trouble going to sleep last night.

"This dude looks like a gimpy hybrid of Ultimate Warrior and Texas Tornado." -- one of my casual fan friends we watch PPV with. He still doesn't know London's name. He just calls him "the guy Snitsky killed at the Rumble".
-
That completely random RVD chant was awesome.
-
And like I said earlier, they even go out of their way to actually use the wire as a weapon. It was clearly established for this match that the wire was only there to keep people out, not be used as a weapon. Thus, a match so boring that random "RVD" chants broke out.
