Enough with all the Joba talk already, yeesh. The Brewers are on quite the tear of late, beating the D-Backs 7-1 tonight. Seth McClung of all people, is turning into a pretty serviceable starter for the team. Randy Johnson looked pretty good tonight, but lost some steam towards the end.

Exactly. It seems like there's been this continuous pattern where the price will suddenly rise, say, 7 cents, and then drop may four or five cents a couple days later. So, it still goes up, but it somehow "makes people feel better." Just saw a report on the news tonight...driving nationally is down 2 percent, while mass transit use is actually up 3 percent.

Gas prices seem to have dropped slightly (like six cents) around here. Paid $3.93 for regular unleaded yesterday. Basically, the oil companies have zero incentive to lower prices. We keep buying, because we have to.

Either that, or he's just completely willfully ignorant about the realities in the Middle East.

I was at Miller Park yesterday and it was indeed a fun time. Funnily enough, we were tailgating and got into the game slightly late, just hearing the Astros' home run on the PA as we were walking in, so I'm thinking "Oh great, another typical Dave Bush start." I was obviously wrong, and it was a good performance from Bush and the Crew. It seems like they're playing with a lot more confidence lately, so hopefully they can keep it up. The other funny thing was that this was a typical Yost "Sunday line up", with Kendall, Cameron, Hardy, and Weeks all getting the day off. You don't necessarily expect a lineup featuring Craig Counsell and Mike Rivera to put up a 10 spot. As for Russell Branyan, he's performing for now, and that's all that matters. I believe Hall will re-earn his starter's spot eventually, but for now it is nice to have a power hitting option off the bench, either way.

Is Obama going to be forced to do some kind of interview where he repeatedly says "I am not a Muslim" and spells it out for these hicks, or what? He should have just said when the Rev. Wright stuff started coming out "I liked it better when they were saying I'm a secret Muslim, not a militant Baptist", to get these people's brains to explode.

Julian "The World's Ugliest Pitcher" Tavarez, looked good in his debut with the Brewers last night. I'll take it.

Finally got around to watching the latest episode yesterday and thought it was pretty good. Michael agreeing to go to lamaze (sp?) class with Jan really irritated me, though. You'd think he'd finally be done with her, after basically being dragged from her house, and then he goes back again. At least his potential relationship with Holly should be interesting. My favorite line was "Mr. Andrew Bernard...that has a nice ring to it."

Saw this movie on Saturday. I thought it was entertaining and good for what it was. The sci-fi elements didn't really bother me...I mean, past movies had a guy's face melting, a crusader "ghost", and the Ark of the Covenant destroying stuff, so I felt like this was a natural extension of that. I don't think it was a "great" movie, nowhere near as good as the first two movies in the series, but probably better than Last Crusade.

I'm thinking about maybe taking motorcycle classes and getting one of those eventually. Would certainly save me money on the drive to work.
