  1. Oh, I didn't realize they were all working in the produce industry, sorry.
  2. A few WWE 24/7 related questions on World Class: I was watching the WCCW episode they're currently showing last night, and I found the Checkmate character interesting. What was the exact deal with him, as I've never see him before? Also, Gary Hart's relationship with some of the heels was really confusing. Bill Mercer went on about him dumping Bundy and then bringing him back. Also, Hart is shown with Dragon, Checkmate, and Kabuki before their match, but then Arman Hussein was managing them at ringside. Anyone know what was going on? One other thing...it seemed like half the roster was mentioned as having some title or other. They mentioned an All-Asian Title, and billed Jose Lothario as the Mexican Brass Knucks Champion. Were these real titles, or was Mercer just making stuff up?

    WWE 24/7

I think on mine it's only about 54 minutes or so. Sounds like an error.
  4. No, I don't have that problem. Kill off the front page for good, for all I care.
  5. Yes, they should make at least minimum wage. Companies aren't entitled to discounted labor, regardless of the person's origin.
  6. Oh, I'm sorry, I'm not falling into this mold you're trying to cast me in.
  7. “SCRAP IRON” ADAM PEARCE Why does this guy seem to get big pushes on the indy scene? I've seen him wrestle a couple times in local indys around here, and he did nothing to impress me. I guess he has a decent look, but he was totally bland in the ring. Maybe he's improved in the last three or four years, though.
  8. I vaguely remember Ray Odyssey. Wasn't he in Global for a little bit?

    WWE 24/7

Well, I just ordered WWE 24/7 last night. I figure that even though it's $7.99 a month, I can justify it because I just cancelled a website domain I was paying over 8 bucks a month for. Anyway, I really like it so far...I watched the WCCW episode last night, and really liked the build up they're doing to the Flair/Kerry cage match. Caught a little bit of ECW last night, and it's unbelievable how cutting edge that program was for '95.
  10. How much do you want to bet he ends up with the Intercontinental belt yet again? Seriously, I have been against Jericho coming back because I have no interest seeing him be a glorified jobber again, but with all the injuries lately, this could be the perfect time for him. He just has to stand up for himself backstage and not be Triple H's bitch.
  11. How 'bout this: I think immigrants (illegal or not) should make the minimum wage. Does that make me racist?
  12. If it was someone who had acted classy throughout his career, like say, Ken Griffey Jr. or Alex Rodriguez breaking the record, I bet Aaron would be there. Barry Bonds doesn't deserve Hank Aaron's validation, though.
  13. You think the morons that frequent the WWE folder can figure this out? It's why no quality posters come up here anymore. People rip on the WWE board here a lot, but I'd like to see what board on the internet people are holding up as the ideal of wrestling discussion. I haven't seen it.
  14. It's pretty ironic that the number two face on RAW right now is Lashley, who is supposed to be the focal point of ECW. Yeah, if Cena gets injured, RAW is pretty much screwed. They'd probably panic and have Batista jump back over to feud with Orton or something.
  15. "Surge" had some of the most annoying commercials I can remember.
  16. Sounds like maybe it was an idiotic attempt by the AWA to try and hurt WWF in their own backyard, or something.
  17. In a post about illegal immigration from Mexico, you just said something about picking beans. Wow. Would you rather I had said "oranges?"
  18. Didn't see that one, honestly. The funny thing about last night was that Pierre was called out at first on runner interference, after being knocked down and having his helmet fly off.
  19. It's going to take more than two insipid sentences, falling back on the same tired knee jerk reactions, to counter my argument.
  20. You're probably right, despite the irony of there being a whole election between then and now.
  21. My guess is Kane and Henry end up brawling out of the ringside area to set up a feud between the two monsters, and Batista gets the pin on Finlay.
  22. Did anyone else see Prince Fielder's clothesline on Juan Pierre last night? That looked like it hurt, big time.
  23. I agree, the Democrats are being too nice at this point. They're too concerned about being called troop haters. They should be going for the throat at this point. I want a vicious, pull no punches, Democratic Party. Not this pussy footing BS.
  24. snuffbox, there must be something in the water over in the People's Republic that makes you so blind to all the reasons that have already been brought up. The number one issue I've brought up, time and agin, which gets completely IGNORED over and over...is that it's not just Mexicans coming across that border. There's been evidence presented that Arabs and others are coming across the as well. You mentioned national security as a real concern. Do you think it's just good honest folk looking for work, who are coming across the Rio Grande? What about drug trafficking? Yeah, I think our government wastes too much money on the War on Drugs as well, but do we need to make it easier for drug runners to get into the US? I have nothing against Mexican people coming here to work. I certainly don't have any interest in picking beans or trimming people's hedges. However, our government has every right to know why foreign people are here, and who they are. I am no racist, as much as you would like to paint me as one. Yes, our country has been built by immigration. By and large, though, it was legal, controlled immigration. Why should we abandon that system now? What about the people who actually live in towns affected by immigration? I know we're supposed to be accepting of everyone and not risk offending people, but there have been plenty of news stories about illegal immigrants creating strains on medical and educational resources. My wife actually worked recently at a high school in a town that has seen a huge increase in the Hispanic population. This same school is seeing a large increase in Hispanic gang activity. But, I guess the fact that I'm pointing this out makes me a jingoistic racist, and I'll no doubt be digging out my Klansman robes for a cross burning, any minute now. Yes, all schools have to deal with gang violence to some degree, but you can't ignore the correlation completely. It's a real problem for many communities.
  25. OK, snuffbox, let's turn the tables here for just a minute. Why are you so seemingly in favor of illegal immigration? Don't you see any negative consequences of it at all?
