  1. Someone will kill him. I just feel it coming.
  2. Uh, the original post said that Greenfield left for a job in LA. Didn't sound like this was WWE deciding "to change it."
  3. I'm not a big ROH fan, although I find some of the stuff they do interesting. That said, I think the idea of a 60 minute draw happening regularly in 2006 is a bit ridiculous. Guys like the Funks, Thesz, Flair, Steamboat wrestled pretty much a mat based style. It makes sense that a pinfall or submission might not always occur within the first 60 minutes of a match. Also, many of these matches would never have been seen or even read about by most fans throughout the country (as another poster noted in this thread already). I admit to not be totally familiar with some of ROH's wrestlers, but it's pretty unbelievable to think that Samoa Joe couldn't beat a guy after 60 minutes of kicking, elbowing, and suplexing the crap out of the champion. When guys are wrestling a much more impactful, and high energy style than the guys in the '70s and '80s, how can anyone really believe a 60 minute draw could occur?
  4. I'm a Michael Hayes mark, so I say this is good, and I base that on absolutely nothing else.
  5. That would be incredibly funny, but also appropriate.
  6. Why is everyone so down on the Padres? This will be their second post season appearance in two years. They must be doing something right (other than being in a relatively weak division).

What are your reasons for hating the Yankees if you are a Brewers fan? Do you hate the Yankees because the Brewers like the Devil Rays, Royals and Pirates are the complete opposite of the Yankees? Everybody outside of New York hates the Yankees. It's not like he needs to explain it. It's just how it is. Thanks for stating the obvious, so I didn't have to. The main reason I and (I think) most other fans outside the northeast hate the Yankees is because of how the media (namely ESPN) worships them contstantly, basically forgetting that their are plenty of other teams worth mentioning. It's just blatant favortism. I actually do respect a lot of the Yankees players for what they are, excellent baseball players. It's just that I really don't need to hear the announcers and commentators tripping over themselves to fellate a northeastern team again. As for my own Milwaukee Brewers...I'm considering this season a mulligan due to all the injuries (Sheets, Ohka, Helling, JJ Hardy, Rickie Weeks, Corey Koskie...). I do fault some of the veterans for underperforming (Jenkins, Brady Clark, Damian Miller somewhat...), though. Hopefully this team will become more in line with similar markets with similar budgets like Oakland and Minnesota...probably won't be a dynasty ever, but hopefully will become annually competitive. They have enough young quality players under their grasp for a few years to do it.
  8. If the Democrats don't manage to take back Congress this fall, they should just dissolve the party and be done with it.

Looks like an interesting playoff bracket...no teams I really hate, other than the Yankees. Weird that Atlanta isn't in it for like the first time in 15 years or whatever.
  10. Is this really anything new?
  11. I liked the Iron Man comics as a kid, so I'm interested to see what they do with this movie. Any ideas on a villain in this movie?
  12. Where's the pic of the Hurricane trying to chokeslam HHH and Austin from?

I just worry if sites like that are safe. I don't know if I trust giving my credit card info to a Russian company, etc.
  14. Who's the dude in the M. Bison getup again? I forget. I can't believe WWE never hired Smiley. He would've gotten insanely over, even more than in WCW.
  15. Well, I do like Bruce Springsteen (at least some of his stuff), but Rolling Stone's review doesn't sound too encouraging (I don't agree with a lot of stuff in that magazine, but their reviews usually seem fairly accurate to me). I'm anxious to hear it still, I guess. I did really like the Killers' first album.
  16. I liked when John Kerry said the GOP policies were "lie and die" to counter all this "cut and run" BS.
  17. If you don't keep your apartment locked, you deserve to get robbed and murdered regardless.
  18. How about the Headhunters? I think they had a few matches in ECW as well.

    Ban Rolleyes.

The worst one was C-Bacon's indignant intellectual drinking coffee one.
  20. No, you're wrong. That game wasn't released until 1994, two years after the tournament
  21. They were actual matches. I vaguely remember it. I'm not sure what the point was, since WCW didn't really have a video game out at the time, other than the outdated WCW game from like 1989 (the one with the Road Warriors on the cover art). I guess Nintendo was just a sponsor on their shows. LOL...Rude won without a final match? That's weird.
  22. Tenryu is hardly a jobber. He's a former Triple Crown and IWGP Champion, just to name two of the title's he's held. Kitao is less recognizable, but they both are not jobbers. To the average WWE fan, they are. I never got why Tenryu and Kitao were chosen to beat the Demos on that card. Was it just sort of a "good will win" because they were working with WWF, or was Vince planning on pushing the duo as a tag team?
  23. WWE is fucked up right now. When do we start destroying this company already? I'm sick of their ineptitude. Why even bother getting interested in any characters anymore? They'll probably just end up getting fired for something stupid.
  24. Geez, this guy can't do anything right.
  25. Yeah, I remember seeing the promos for Brakkus, and he looked like an absolute monster. I think he might've had one match on RAW, but I could be wrong. I remember Putski. He was also Konan 2000 in the AWF (short lived fed around 1996 that had Tito Santana as their champion and also featured Sgt. Slaughter and the Road Warriors). He seemed like a guy that had the "look" but didn't have much in ring talent to back it up. He was going to be one of WWF's keystones for their new Light Heavyweight division, but got injured in a match against Brian Christopher.
