Why do people like the White Stripes? Because the White Stripes don't sound like Nickleback or Green Day, nor do they want to.

Thank God someone else thinks this. I can't believe Hollywood is trying to make her into a star. She only does about one movie a year though. Its not like she's Natalie Portman, who was in virtually everything last year.

What movies will you be going to see in 2006?
SuperJerk replied to CBright7831's topic in Television & Film
Bob loves his chick movies. -
I didn't see anyone talking about "Friends".

The man is still a professional athlete and that doesn't give him the right to call the fan a "cunt" or try and start a fight. The security guard was WAY out a line as well. Look at it this way... I work at Walgreens. If some old lady told me I bagged her items wrong, then I responded with "fuck the old folk's home" and called her a cunt before telling her to get into a fight with me, I'd be fired. And yet, somehow, a dick like Orton can get away with it. IT'S A WRESTLING SHOW. The fans are supposed to get into it. Randy should be loving the fact that he's getting attention from fans and actually, you know, drawing heat. He really shouldn't be trying to knock out the one guy who knows he exists. First of all, it read to me like it took place outside of the show. Doesn't sound like it was inside the arena since it was before the show, and the guy had the option of moving to a different piece of property during the incident, implying this was outdoors. Second, if it did happen inside the show, I see heels yell at fans all the time without it getting reported on a newsboard. Whooptee shit. Third, your Walgreens metaphor is completely irrelevant. If this did take place at a show, heels regularly insult the crowd to get heat. And crowds insult the heels. Get it? Walgreens ≠ pro wrestling. Completely different expectations as to what constitutes doing your job.

Czech brings the Mr. Show references once again. I just noticed this since I never bothered to look at his stupid blog before... Its hard to argue with this since no actual examples are cited. Way to use vagueness as a bullet-proof shield. Pulling stratgey out of the MikeSC playbook are we?

This has to be the only time a gimmick post was appropriate.

This isn't Randy vs. the military. This is Randy vs. some fan who tried to start an argument with him outside of the show.

The problem with judging the Beatles 40 years after they were first popular is that they've been ripped-off so much its become difficult to see just how innovative they were.

Wow. Way to invent a correlation between two totally unrelated things. Yes, once a month all the high school teachers get together in the teachers' lounge and talk about how we all like the same music. You're exactly right. Idiot.

"So why are you calling our show retard? Call the TNA show if they have one, which they probably don't." At no point does Todd actually make an attempt to refute the claim that TNA is better. He simply makes fun of their lack of an internet call-in show.

Yeah, Randy Orton sure is a jackass for talking back to a fan outside a show, then walking off when the guy wouldn't do anything. And that poor fan was just standing there insulting Orton when Orton OUT OF NO WHERE decided to call the guy out. And OMG a company security guy got involved because he saw the fan try to start crap with Orton. WTF is THAT all about?

Imagine the promos.

So i guess that makes TNA Family Guy (and jarrett and 3LK are simply the annoying "owww, owwww" scenes (where peter hurts his knee). Hmm, this probably makes ROH futurama, so whats king of the hill and american dad? And that's what you call "taking a metaphor too far."

Its just a bad photo.

Good to see Ultimates getting some recognition, since its easily Marvel's best book. They really heaped on the praise for Infinite Crisis and its tie-ins, but gave House of M the best mini-series nod anyways. I guess that's fair since IC isn't over yet, but surely one of the lead-up minis was better than HofM.

Come on guys, this is fucking Juggernaut. Dazzler once took him on. Then why does Superman ever get punched in comic books? Because some writers are stupid and some villians can either surprise Superman or move at superhuman speed (Juggernaunt can do neither). Name them, because honestly, I can't think of that many. Maybe I'm just not very imaginative, but so far I've got "Throw him into the sun/space" which I'll grant, even though some sources say that wouldn't really kill him. But gimme some more and I'll leave it alone. 1. Throw Jugernaut into the sun. 2. Suffocate him by creating a vacuum around him at superspeed. 3. Burn through his eyes with heat vision and blow up his brain. 4. Fly at him at superspeed. 5. Drop him in the Artic and freeze him in 1000 tons of ice using a combination of the natural environment and ice breath. 6. Burn through his skin with his heat vision, incapacitating Juggernaut long enough to punch him senseless and dispose of the body. 7. Knock him unconscious with repeated sonic booms from travelling at superspeed. 8. Strand him on the moon until he suffocates. 9. Drill a hole to the center of the Earth at superspeed and trick Juggernaut into stepping into it. 10. Zap him into the Phantom Zone. I could be wrong, but this statement seems (to me, anyway) like you're implying that Juggs can't No, I was implying that Superman can fly into space, which Juggernaut cannot. How is Juggernaut holding his breath going to keep him from being vaporized by the sun????

Teaching Intelligent Design Found Unconstitutional
SuperJerk replied to Ace309's topic in Current Events
So does this mean you're against intelligent design being taught in schools? -
Okay...what's with this Kane's "next" movie shit?

http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/chloe/products/ Apparently Chloe is now considered a big enough of a star to move merchandise. Honestly, though... It took me a couple of weeks just to register that Torrie even owns a dog.

I think that was a case of Disturbed just getting hired to do a song they didn't write themselves (like in the case of Motorhead or Finger Eleven), so rights might not be an issue.

Speaking of comparing WCW to WWE, this would be another opportunity for me to point out all the unintentional comedy in the "Monday Night Wars" DVD.

More fun backstage notes... http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2005_/arti.../1135820537.php I didn't want to start a new thread for this since its mostly stuff we already know, but thought it was worth mentioning.
