  1. In case you forgot they have Ricky Steamboat on the payroll. Not that a road agent isn't an important job, but let's look at all the other things they could do with the Dragon (who, by the way, they have on their payroll): -release a DVD -put him in video games and, even crazier... -give him an on-air role ...because, as you probably know, they have him on the payroll.
  2. Five years ago we had Austin, Rock, Taker, Foley, HHH, Angle, Benoit, Guerrero, and Jericho, and a kick-ass tag team division with Acolytes, Dudleys, Hardyz, Edge/Christian, and others. All of the above were pretty much always involved in some kind of feud, and they were always on both RAW and SD. I was referring to the soap opera angles, no the talent themselves. And please note that most of those guys are either still around, or were still around until the last couple of months.
  3. credit: http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=22006 That's right. Battle-fucking-Star Galactica, motherfuckers.
  4. To be fair: there's a chance your opinion about the length might be different if you actually saw the entire movie, and your opinion of the sequences you complained about might be different if you saw them in context.
  5. I don't think Raw is that bad, just stale. Kind of like how old bands get boring because their songs all sound the same. If yo go back and watch a show from 5 years ago, you'd probably notice the show's just as dumb, but seemed better at the time. The reason I stay a fan is because there's usually one or two things out of the six things they're doing on a show at a given time that I like.
  6. I was always a bigger fan of John. Sal's work was pretty much what Marvel's look was in the post-Kirby era. He and John Buscema stepped up and kept Marvel going into the 80s.
  7. I was watching "Rise and Fall of ECW" again the other day and couldn't help but bust out laughing when Shane Douglas threw down this exact same NWA title. Yeah, change the fucker.
  8. The first couple of times I requested my username change from "Y2Jerk" to "Mister Jerk" got no-sold. Now, it could be a case of mods just not giving a shit, or not checking their PMS, or just thinking that the username "Mister Jerk" sucks ass...thus wanting no part of it. Well, if it was the third reason...I totally understand. Damn it, does this new username ever suck ass. After a couple of weeks I'm already sick of it. So, I'm asking, can someone please switch me back to Y2Jerk? I've learned my lesson. I'll never ask for another username change again. Come on, whaddaya say?

    TNA Spoilers

How far into making sexual references to Dixie Carter are we? Is it still in Stephanie phase where someone occasionally thinks she's hot or Dawm Marie phase where we think she's hot, but mostly keep it to ourselves? And, most importantly, when does it reach Maria phase where it becomes completely socially acceptable to discuss which sex acts we'd like to try at a given time with her?
  10. I honestly wouldn't mind it being done the way it was done before, because I liked the way it was done before. Then less and less people kept publishing stuff. I see it as a lack of articles weakened the demand, rather than what the articels were about weakening the demand.
  11. Pretty much. This time last year, virtually every conservative columnist and radio host "simultaneously" decided to start complaining about it. Four independently written accounts of his life and philosophy dating back to the 1st century. Of course, those accounts got turned into the Bible. I don't think any evidence outside of the Bible exists, though.

  13. Hypocrisy my ass. Most atheists I know think Jesus was a real guy, just not the son of God, and the tradition of giving gifts on December 25th has nothing to do with the holiday's alledged religious origins.
  14. What about the chicken fight? Didn't Maria loose her top? That's a ***** classic.
  15. This was the first movie I ever saw. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074751/ I expect this version to be much better.

  17. Batista's never had pecs that were really that huge, so that pic makes him look about the same as he did on the cover of the Wrestlemania 21 DVD.
  18. I love the fact that LessonInMachismo used to have a sig that said "The Magnificent Seven" that listed his name alongside Mike, Marney, and 4 of the others, as if those guys really wanted anything to do with him. That dude is Aldo Montoya to Mike's HHH.
  19. Commander in Chief has aired, what? 9 times? Hardly enough of a track record to declare something the best show on TV. I mean, the Emmys are bullshit too, but at least they wait until the TV season's over before they start making judgements. I have no idea what you mean. I watch it every week, and think its great.
  20. In retrospect, the Kane wins makes sense for 2 reasons: (1) It keeps Cena and HHH away from each other for the slow build to WM. (2) HHH/Show program. Of course, they could've done HHH and Show in the chamber togehter, if I thought for one second Show could fit in the glass waiting booth. Still, I can't believe anyone think putting Masters or Carlito in there is a good idea, but they are pretty low on talent at the moment.
  21. If I had an award for most fucked up thing I've read today, that'd win it.
  22. I'm glad to see so many people wanting to get behind having main page articles again.
  23. The Holocaust is probably one of the most document events in human history, with no shortage of official documents from the Nazi government, photos, physical evidence, eye witness accounts, and dead bodies to back the the events up. Plus, you have Hitler's pre-war writings to go by, which clearly indicate his intentions.
  24. I'm sure I'm not the first to say this, but... Jeff Hardy calls himself the "Charismatic Enigma" because its a mystery why people like him.
