  1. I'm beginning to question if 4 championships per show is really necessary. Inevitably, at least one on each show doesn't get used at any given time.
  2. Still to this day, I don't understand why Triple H couldn't steal Eddie over to make him look better. Eddie wasn't really doing anything at time except starting that horrid program with Angle. Benoit going over Brock @ Rumble and taking the WWE Title was neccesary. Brock and Goldberg was penciled in months before they even started the Brock and Benoit deal. So of course, Benoit looks like an uber idiot for changing his mind after spending a month chasing Lesnar and Heyman for the WWE title only to go "hmm, you know what, I'll go for the World title instead". The whole purpose of that move was to make Triple H look good. Benoit got a gold watch run with the title while it was still all about the game. We should have at least gotten Benoit and Lesnar @ the Rumble. I thought it was pretty smart actually, from a kayfabe standpoint, Benoit had the deck stacked against him on Smackdown, with the GM and his army of monster heels (wasn't this the same time as the Big Show/Matt Morgan/Lesnar/Nathan Jones alliance? not sure how much further that ran past survivor series. BUt yeah, he knew he was going to get screwed around, screwed around, screwed around, so he jumped to RAW, screwing Heyman out of a big title match, and being able to claim he had the rumble winner, at the same time, getting a new start on RAW. The jump would've made more sense if it'd been Heyman trading him to Raw so he wouldn't get his WWE title shot, instead of jumping of his own accord. Hell, trading him for Goldberg would've worked perfectly in the storylines.
  3. I know I can't be alone in my disappointment that there hasn't been any wrestling-related content on the main page in a month. Yeah, I know the product generally sucks right now, and you guys who write for the board have lives outside of typing up free articles for the unpaying masses, but surely there's something we can do about this. I'm one of those guys that found this site because of Dames and Dr. Tom's various reports were being posted on other sites, and I used them to find my way here. Later, JHawk's weekly recaps kept me coming back, Truitt's shoot recaps were fantastic, and Spoon's TE3 material was comedic gold. Hell, I still remember reading Razor's Heat recaps (including the parody where Shiavone become a WWE announcer) during Raven's run on that show. Maybe its time to find some new writers for the main page? I mean, don't get me wrong, I appreciate Flagg letting me know where to get cheap DVDs at, but I wish there was more. And not just wrestling stuff, either. Bob Barron's SNL recaps wouldn't be too out of place up there, would they? Or even HTQ's blog entries as a regular column? Surely there's plenty of folks here who'd be willing to pick up the slack if asked. Thanks for listening.
  4. I, for one, do not feel at all guilty for being mildly amused by a midcard guy that seems to have fun being a heel.
  5. Does Blanco want to run for reelection?
  6. Doesn't this count? Dude's clearly saying Booker T should've been offended, and hypocritically using another racial slur to back up his point.

  8. "That was uncalled for, Senator."
  9. I thought they were promoting themselves as "where the minorities are".
  10. Ah...the last bastion of internet intelligenica.
  11. What's this "we" shit?
  12. I think what a lot of people don't realzie about the brand split is that not all the same people watch both shows. I think I read that only about 1/3 of the audience watches both Raw AND Smackdown every week. Thus, the WWE is reaching more fans than the ratings suggest because probably about 2 1/2 million people are watching on Friday that weren't watching on Monday.

  14. I'd have stopped watching Raw altogether, since I was officially fed up with the Orton super-push and the HBK/HHH feud that wouldn't die. Benoit's title chase kept me interested in Raw at a time when Smackdown was better. I quit watching Smackdown altogether (or, at least, until the 2005 Royal Rumble) when it became "the JBL Show", but Benoit as champ kept me interested in Raw.
  15. I'm sure this has already been mentioned, but: Do you win any unlockables if you win 1 year of GM mode?
  16. Yeah, I've seen Control Room, and I don't think Al-Jazeera wasn't the ones attacked. The article says the meeting took place in April of 2004. When was Control Room filmed?
  17. As much as I hate the name WWE, I don't see how changing it back to WWF would improve anything substantial. Maybe it might improve company morale for a couple of months, but that's it.
  18. Wait...you get to get your guy...even after you're thrown out...? Genius!
  19. Good. Floor seats suck, unless you're in the first 2 rows.
  20. There just aren't any faces on RAW besides Shawn who are over enough to feud with a heel Cena for the belt.
  21. I think at this point they should just say that Flair was beaten so bad that he had to retire. Flair's injury angle actually works in WWE's favor for this situation. I like the Chavo/Murdoch idea, BTW. I think its safe to say that Chavo's push has already concluded. Flair's kayfabe injuries from his last match with HHH can easily be used to explain any extended absence/retirement by Flair, so vacating the IC belt certainly seems like a reasonable thing to do.
  22. Geat...how the fuck do I do that?
