  1. I was curious about this myself. Here is what I found out: credit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman_2 Details on the changes for the alternate version: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081573/alternateversions
  2. Having Jericho go over the Big Show is a good place to start. Its certainly better than jobbing Show out to Masters.
  3. That's almost crazy enough to work.
  4. Unfortunately, I don't think Jericho winning a debate isn't going to help him get any PPV buys. Anytime I've bought a PPV, its been because I really wanted to see one or more of the matches. Nothing they've done makes me want to see this match.
  5. Well looking around at the crowd...it seems like what they're doing is working... What with the whole 'Can Cena over come the odds, of what Jericho (and Eric) are throwing at him'. And Jericho keeps cheapshotting him, will Cena get him back. That seems like a better build to me then...well Jericho beating Cena in matches weeks before...I think it's pretty much understood that "Jericho's a great wrestler" no matter how many matches he's won or lost in recent memory. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> First of all, the whole 'Can Cena over come the odds, of what Jericho (and Eric) are throwing at him' is stale. The only way it could make me want to see the PPV is if they added some heavy stipulation to the actual PPV match itself that's intended to work against Cena. Second, I never said have Jericho wrestle Cena for weeks leading up to Summerslam, but it simply does not make sense to not have your #1 contender wrestle leading up to a big PPV. Third, I don't think the average fan really buy Jericho as a good wrestler given how he's been jobbed out and buried consistently since 2002. Fourth, I don't know how "looking at the crowd" is supposed to determine how much people want to buy a PPV. Being over with the live crowd does not automatically translate into PPV buys. Look at Undertaker and hogan's last titles reigns for proof of that.
  6. What? You're grasping at straws with that comparison. Those two movies are in completely seperate universes. Both have computers that have out evolved humans, but that's all they have in common. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, Terminator and the Matrix also fit into that category. I think evil computers trying to kill humans is a legitimate sci-fi subgenre now.
  7. Who is Muhammad Hassan? Has he done anything important to make me know who he is? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You've been living under a rock for three years and must not like hot chicks.
  8. Someone has to state the obvious here: Shouldn't they be building up Jericho as a credible challenger? I can't remember the last time he had a match on Raw, let alone won one. I'm a Jericho mark, and even I have no interest in seeing him wrestle Cena. Call me crazy, but I'd think that making Jericho look like a legit threat might increase interest in seeing a match between the two more than the stuff they've been doing. And isn't the whole point to get people interested in as many of the PPV matches as possible so they'll be more likely to buy it?
  9. Making Hogan/HBK the ME really shows how much faith they have in Cena and Batista.
  10. Um...Okay...
  11. For those of you who missed it, here's my jokes from page 1:
  12. Eating hot dogs only SOUNDS erotic.
  13. I know I'm seriously questioning why I still watch.
  14. STILL TO COME: A hot dog eating contest. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lol, I thought you were joking. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was in the preview. I already made a couple of jokes about it back on page 1 of this thread.
  15. STILL TO COME: A hot dog eating contest.
  16. The concept of Battle of the Bands should have been retired after "Jem" was cancelled.
  17. 76. So people won't have to spam are boards anymore with links to meaningless petitions.
  18. Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
  19. :finger: I think the character sucks and the WWE should be ashamed of themselves. I'd tell my friends, but none of them like wrestling anymore because the WWE has become so idiotic. And thanks for spamming the board, asshole.
  20. 74. He depicts the injustices Arab-Americans face - while condemning those who mistakenly called him a terrorist. credit: Gary Davis, WWE
  21. He might have just said he PREFERS the theatrical cut. Something about it running better or was paced better. It was on the T2 X-Treme Edition commentary. A special edition is different than a director's cut. A director's cut restore what was once in the movie. A special edition adds brand new material.
  22. At the risk of starting a new argument, allow me to point out something independent of the Johannsen business. If you take the number of people who rent movies in a given week ($117 million in rentals divided by $4) and add them to the number of people who see movies at the theater (about $125 million in box office divided by $6), then divide that by the total number of people living in the United States (about 290 million), you wouldn't get a figure much higher than 50 million people. That's only 18% of the total population. Even if you're not assuming that its the same people rent movies and go to the theaters week after week, that's a pretty small chunk of the total population. There's mathematically no way most people have seen that, or possibly any other movie released in the last 2 years. The American movie-watching population just isn't that big.
  23. This would be the perfect place for a Triple H joke. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Except Triple H never even came close to the first criteria.
  24. I'll give you a hint. They work for the company.
  25. You can deliver the best promo in the world and still be stale if you say the exact same thing week after week.
