You actually had me going there for a second. I could almost hear Hogan saying those things. All this talk of drawing though really sidesteps an important point. People only brag about popularity when they know they don't have the talent to back it up. You'll never hear anyone talk about how great a rapper Vanilla Ice was, just how many records he sold.

Except race jokes are only about 30% of Rock's material, and most of the time even that material that's critical of black people. In "Never Scared" he spent almost the entire show bitching about being married. Race jokes are Mencia's entire act, and they're based on over-used observations of common stereo types, rather than using his observations to make a point like Rock does.

Being over isn't the same thing as being a draw or being on top. Hogan was "on the top" for about 8 years in WWE, and 5 in WCW. He hasn't really been "on the top" since 2000, except for 1 month in 2002. That's impressive, but 8+5 does not equal 25.

Hogan made more money than any othe rwrestler in history- Austin wasn't drawing in his WCW days, ECW, or first couple of years in the WWE- or he hasn't did anything the last 3 or so years.. Injury Theres no debating the drawing power of either men, Hogan wins by a landside- 2-4 years, compared to 20- <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Someone's going to have to prove he was actually a draw for 20 years. I think you're half right. She can definitely raise the most money. She also has the public speaking ability and charisma of a middle school assistant principal. She can't win because she won't be able to connect with most voters. She also has more baggage than LAX.

Its possible he watches it more than the interview exerpts make it seem like he does. Like I said, Bret makes some good point, but I think some of his views are a little outdated because the company has bigger problems now than the ones these exerpts describe.

I was always under the impression MTv/VH1/whoever were provided the videos for free by the record companies. Apparently, though, "The Real 70s House World Punk'd My Newlywed's Ride" gets good enough ratings that they can charge enough for advertising to make up whatever production costs + whatever they were making from commericals when they showed videos. Also, the song "Holla Back Girl" may sound like something an 8th grader got booed off the stage for at the middle school talent show, but goddamn if Gwen don't look fine as hell in the video.

Sometimes stuff comes across better on screen than on the page. Bret's criticism seems more geared toward what wrestling was like a couple of years ago. Today it sucks for different reasons he didn't mention. He's got more wrestling knowledge in his pinky then I have in my entire body, but I wouldn't trust a mechanic to correctly tell me what wrong with my car if he hasn't looked at it yet. I think you should actually see something before you comment on it.

I'm sure Justice can answer that better than I could, but there are limitations on just how much that clause covers.

I'm mildly irritated whenever someone who admittedly does not even watch the product presumes to know what they're doing wrong. Now, if Bret Hart were to sit down and watch Raw or Smackdown, THEN tell us this, I'd be more inclined to see his point. I actually agree with him on many of his point, but how do I know he's not just repeating what he's heard others say if he doesn't even watch anymore?

I'm taking a totally different position on this. Nebraska has the right not to recognize the marriage, especially since the girl is 4 years below the minimum age requirement. They should have stayed in Kansas. Better yet, her parents should've had him arrested instead of giving them permission to get married.
