FUSION - another new NE indy fed

From what Evan Karagias said in a promo at an NWA Pro Wrestling Xpress show this past weekend, Juvi & Psichosis are now wrestling The SAT. So, I dunno...that may mean Ogawa and Misawa aren't on the show anymore, or it may be a three-way dance or something. I don't know. But either way, Juvi/Psichosis lit a new fire under The SAT's ass this past weekend apparently, and they put on what was said to be a great match, and from what the report says (on DOI), Karagias said the FUSION debut show would feature The SAT vs. Juvi/Psichosis.

Mozilla. What's so great about it?

I literally just got it installed a few minutes ago (I'm using it right now). The advantage - from what I'm told - is that it's less vulnerable to viruses, because few people use it and as a result, hackers don't tend to target it (since they want to affect mass amounts of people and not just a select group, like those who use the program).

Places to download full wrestling matches?

I have Bret/Shawn, but it's not just that match - the file also has the match right before that (a tag match with the Rock I believe it was). If you want it, IM me at Piratez4v3go2.

The promotion that spawned XPW set to reform

The Mexican buffet thing actually sounds kinda like the other XPW offshoot, LXW (Kirk Farrington's old fed). They specifically targeted the Mexican community of New York with their shows and advertising.
  8. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: THE RETURN OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING! THIS TIME, THEY’RE DOING IT FOR THE FANS! THE PAST: In 1997, Dynamite D., Patrick Hernandez, and Kevin Kleinrock formed Southern California Championship Wrestling off the heels of the Slammers Wrestling Federation decision to cease operations. In 1998, SCCW chose to end promoting shows on their own and join adult producer Rob Black in his attempt to start a professional wrestling company. The result: XPW. For better or for worse XPW changed both the Southern California and overall professional wrestling landscape during its existence (1999-2003). THE PRESENT: As of July 3, 2004, all 3 of the original members of SCCW had no links left to Rob Black or XPW. Dynamite D occasionally wrestled on the independent circuit. Patrick Hernandez officiated many of the matches in the region. Kevin Kleinrock had been out of the business since XPW ceased operations in April of 2003. If there was one thing that XPW did to the SoCal wrestling community, it was divide it. Some fans loved the wild and crazy shows with big name stars no other organization was bringing to town. Others absolutely hated everything XPW stood for and preferred a show 100% dedicated to pure wrestling without all the spectacle and “hardcore” matches. THE FUTURE: In September of 2004 and a plan for the future was hatched. Taking the lessons learned with the “XPW experience” (both the good and the bad) the original 3 members of the SCCW front office have teamed up with Steve Bryant of SoCalUncensored.com, the premiere website dedicated to keeping the fans informed about the local wrestling scene, to reform SCCW with a single goal in mind: Doing It For The Fans! AND WITH THAT IN MIND, WE PROUDLY ANNOUNCE THE REBIRTH OF SCCW! Our goal: To create a live wrestling experience which will cater to every fan in the So Cal area. These quarterly shows will feature the best of the best of high flying, technical strong style, and hardcore! CURRENTLY PARTICIPATING PROMOTIONS (in alphabetical order): Alternative Wrestling Shop (AWS) New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW- USA) Pacific Championship Wrestling (PCW) Pro Wrestling Guerilla (PWG) Pro Wrestling War (PWW) Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) Revolution X Wrestling (RevX) Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW) Each participating promotion will present one match on each “SoCal Supercard” and, in addition to each So Cal promotion’s match, additional “hardcore” wrestling matches, sanctioned by Kings of Hardcore will take place and be taped for Pay-Per-View! And, on the very first SCCW show, these hardcore matches will take place in the form of a KING OF THE DEATHMATCH TOURNAMENT. DATES FOR SCCW’S SUPERCARD SHOWS: Saturday, January 15, 2005 – 2:00 PM Belltime Saturday, April 9, 2005 – 2:00 PM Belltime Saturday, July 9, 2005 – 2:00 PM Belltime Saturday, October 8, 2005 – 2:00 PM Belltime LOCATION: Potrero Club 4959 Patata Ave. Cudahy, CA 90201 Located just minutes South of downtown Los Angeles off the 710 Freeway, about 40 minutes from the San Fernando Valley, 30 Minutes from Orange County, and 60 minutes from the Inland Empire. The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING

As you can read in the newly-made thread, SCCW - the organization that in many respects was the precursor of XPW - is set to reform in the next month. SCCW featured the likes of Dynamite D, Johnny Webb, Homeless Jimmy, Danien Steele, Kevin Kleinrock, and others before they were in XPW. The official web site of SCCW is SoCalCW.com. SCCW will be run by the same three men who it was run by in the late '90's - Dynamite D, Patrick Hernandez, and Kevin Kleinrock. I hope to have the first music video of the "History of XPW" series done in the next couple weeks. Whether it's done by then or there's an unforeseen delay for some reason, I promise you that it will be unlike anything you have ever seen before. Also, expect more names to be added to the list of contributees. Kaos, Dynamite D, Jake Lawless, Homeless Jimmy, and Patrick Hernandez are the newest contributees. They'll join Johnny Webb, Carlito Montana, Verne Langdon, GQ Money, Steve Rizzono, Pogo the Clown, and many others.

IWA-MS Battleground in Bloomington review 10/20/04

Cool review. Sounds like an interesting show, especially with Styles/Candido.
  15. Larry Goodman confirmed on the NWA-Wildside.com message board that Jason Cross and Matt Sydal are booked for the Victory Road PPV. Bill Behrens - the head of NWA Wildside - has a lot of booking power in TNA and was integral in getting a lot of the Xplosion guys their spots, including Cross and Sydal (both have competed on TNA PPV before). It'll be interesting to see how they're used. No way they'll book them in a singles match, since neither guy is a regular TNA character. Maybe an X Division Gauntlet or something where they can feed them to the dogs (Styles, Skipper, Petey, etc.). Cross vs. Sonjay would be sweet, but Sonjay doesn't seem to be competing as often as he used to. CREDIT: http://nwa-wildside.com/forum/index.cgi?read=25076

NWA Wildside being considered as new

Larry Goodman confirmed on the NWA-Wildside.com message board that NWA Wildside promoter and TNA booker/talent relations official Bill Behrens has talked to WWE about possibly making NWA Wildside a developmental territory for WWE. Tommy Dreamer flew to Georgia last week and apparently scoped out the NWA Wildside training facilities and talent there. CREDIT: http://nwa-wildside.com/forum/index.cgi?read=25076

  19. http://www.wrestleview.com/news2004/1098820930.shtml Sunday afternoon at WWE's SmackDown house show in Montreal, D-Von Dudley nearly got physical with a WWE fan. Here is the full story. A WWE fan was sitting near ringside at the house show and was basically mouthing off, just like many fans do. During the main event, when the Dudleys and others came out for the brawl after the Booker T/Bradshaw main event, the fan, along with many were just chanting things at random. D-Von did his spot in the ring and was kicked to the outside towards the security rail, where the fan was. The fan tapped D-Von on the elbow, just like many fans tap wrestlers on the back when they're near the crowd. Other fans also tapped D-Von (like a tap on the back.) D-Von turns around and tells the fan "Don't f*ckin' touch me." Which was proof that the fan didn't hit D-Von, he simply tapped him on the elbow. D-Von was standing on the outside of the ring and the fan says "Hey D-Von, move I can't see." D-Von Dudley asked the fan to come closer to the rail and to say it to his face, but the fan just stood there. D-Von kept repeating it, then security came and asked what was going on, D-Von replies "I want the kid to hit me, so I can hit him back." If a fan hits a wrestler, the wrestler has the authority to hit him back, self defense. But the fan didn't hit D-Von and D-Von was apparently fed up with the fan's big mouth and just wanted to a reason to hit him. D-Von snapped and shoved the Bell Centre security and grabbed the fan against the rail and made him go face to face with him. The fan, who's scheduled for back surgery this Friday, due to a car accident from earlier this year, simply told D-Von "Let me go man, my back really hurts, I am scheduled for surgery on Friday." D-Von still had his hands on the fan, then security tried to stop it again. At that point, security grabbed the fan and finally pulled him back. Bubba then came out of nowhere and told the fan "Your mom is a whore." After the show, many fans were waiting in back of the arena to watch the wrestlers leave. The fan and his friends were at the light waiting to cross the street, while other people were still in front of the arena garage. Suddenly, D-Von stops at the red light and both the fan and D-Von spot each other. The fan yells "What D-Von? What do you want? What are you going to do, you hurt my back?" D-Von leaves his car at the light on the street and rushes out to get in the fan's face, then he started shoving the fan and asking him what he's going to do. The fan told D-Von that he had a bad back and to stop what he's doing. D-Von let go of him, but stayed face to face. A WWE security was also driving and saw this happening, he immediately got out of his vehicle and proceeded to stop the argument/altercation. Security pushed the fan instead of holding D-Von back. The fan said "You're not allowed to do this." The WWE security said "I'm allowed to do whatever I want." They both went back to their cars and that was it. It's kind of sad to see that something like that would get to D-Von Dudley. Some say the fan probably deserves it for his big mouth, maybe he does, maybe he doesn't, but the fan never pushed or shoved D-Von and D-Von let words get to him. A picture was sent in to me yesterday, where D-Von and the fan were face to face. In the picture, you will notice the WWE security guard coming to break it up and you will also notice the vehicles stopped at the light unattended.
