Cool review. Sounds like an interesting show, especially with Styles/Candido. -
Jason Cross and Matt Sydal on Victory Road PPV
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in TNA Wrestling
Unfortunately, you're probably right. They'll likely be in and out faster than you can say Stem Cell Research...oops...wait...I'm thinking of Delirious. -
Larry Goodman confirmed on the NWA-Wildside.com message board that Jason Cross and Matt Sydal are booked for the Victory Road PPV. Bill Behrens - the head of NWA Wildside - has a lot of booking power in TNA and was integral in getting a lot of the Xplosion guys their spots, including Cross and Sydal (both have competed on TNA PPV before). It'll be interesting to see how they're used. No way they'll book them in a singles match, since neither guy is a regular TNA character. Maybe an X Division Gauntlet or something where they can feed them to the dogs (Styles, Skipper, Petey, etc.). Cross vs. Sonjay would be sweet, but Sonjay doesn't seem to be competing as often as he used to. CREDIT: http://nwa-wildside.com/forum/index.cgi?read=25076

Larry Goodman confirmed on the NWA-Wildside.com message board that NWA Wildside promoter and TNA booker/talent relations official Bill Behrens has talked to WWE about possibly making NWA Wildside a developmental territory for WWE. Tommy Dreamer flew to Georgia last week and apparently scoped out the NWA Wildside training facilities and talent there. CREDIT: http://nwa-wildside.com/forum/index.cgi?read=25076

D-Von Dudley involved in altercation w/ fan
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in The WWE Folder
No, and fuck you for trying to introduce a racial element when there was none mentioned. The world doesn't need this shit. Dude, I know you're a mod and all, but that was pretty harsh... -

http://www.wrestleview.com/news2004/1098820930.shtml Sunday afternoon at WWE's SmackDown house show in Montreal, D-Von Dudley nearly got physical with a WWE fan. Here is the full story. A WWE fan was sitting near ringside at the house show and was basically mouthing off, just like many fans do. During the main event, when the Dudleys and others came out for the brawl after the Booker T/Bradshaw main event, the fan, along with many were just chanting things at random. D-Von did his spot in the ring and was kicked to the outside towards the security rail, where the fan was. The fan tapped D-Von on the elbow, just like many fans tap wrestlers on the back when they're near the crowd. Other fans also tapped D-Von (like a tap on the back.) D-Von turns around and tells the fan "Don't f*ckin' touch me." Which was proof that the fan didn't hit D-Von, he simply tapped him on the elbow. D-Von was standing on the outside of the ring and the fan says "Hey D-Von, move I can't see." D-Von Dudley asked the fan to come closer to the rail and to say it to his face, but the fan just stood there. D-Von kept repeating it, then security came and asked what was going on, D-Von replies "I want the kid to hit me, so I can hit him back." If a fan hits a wrestler, the wrestler has the authority to hit him back, self defense. But the fan didn't hit D-Von and D-Von was apparently fed up with the fan's big mouth and just wanted to a reason to hit him. D-Von snapped and shoved the Bell Centre security and grabbed the fan against the rail and made him go face to face with him. The fan, who's scheduled for back surgery this Friday, due to a car accident from earlier this year, simply told D-Von "Let me go man, my back really hurts, I am scheduled for surgery on Friday." D-Von still had his hands on the fan, then security tried to stop it again. At that point, security grabbed the fan and finally pulled him back. Bubba then came out of nowhere and told the fan "Your mom is a whore." After the show, many fans were waiting in back of the arena to watch the wrestlers leave. The fan and his friends were at the light waiting to cross the street, while other people were still in front of the arena garage. Suddenly, D-Von stops at the red light and both the fan and D-Von spot each other. The fan yells "What D-Von? What do you want? What are you going to do, you hurt my back?" D-Von leaves his car at the light on the street and rushes out to get in the fan's face, then he started shoving the fan and asking him what he's going to do. The fan told D-Von that he had a bad back and to stop what he's doing. D-Von let go of him, but stayed face to face. A WWE security was also driving and saw this happening, he immediately got out of his vehicle and proceeded to stop the argument/altercation. Security pushed the fan instead of holding D-Von back. The fan said "You're not allowed to do this." The WWE security said "I'm allowed to do whatever I want." They both went back to their cars and that was it. It's kind of sad to see that something like that would get to D-Von Dudley. Some say the fan probably deserves it for his big mouth, maybe he does, maybe he doesn't, but the fan never pushed or shoved D-Von and D-Von let words get to him. A picture was sent in to me yesterday, where D-Von and the fan were face to face. In the picture, you will notice the WWE security guard coming to break it up and you will also notice the vehicles stopped at the light unattended.

Just saw amazing MLW tag match from '02
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Ya, I think this was the match where Togo broke his ankle. You're lucky you've seen it. I just saw it today and holy shit, what an awesome match. -
I just saw Christopher Daniels & The Far East Connection (Ikuto Hidaka & Dick Togo) vs. The S.A.T. & Quiet Storm from MLW Reloaded 2002 and I must say – it is truly one of…if not THE…best six-man tag team match I’ve ever seen. It easily is up there with the ECW Barely Legal six-man that also featured Togo. I really have trouble believing I saw such well-executed moves from The S.A.T. The match featured reversal sequences that were original and executed brilliantly, but more importantly it was a six-man tag that actually worked and didn’t end up as a clusterfuck, like you see so often. Everyone had their game faces on for this match and worked their tails off. The lucha-style action from all six guys was especially impressive. Each and every wrestler played a function in the match and built up their involvement so that you cared about what they did next. From the innovative highspots to the scientific matwork to the creative double-team combos to Togo, Hidaka, Storm, and Daniels’ smartly-designed submission offense, this was what six-man tag team matches should be. If you want to see a match that showcases The S.A.T.’s abilities when they’re determined to do well, this is the match to watch. I’ve uploaded the match for people to DL it for themselves. It’s highly recommended that you check it out if you’re a fan of lucha, six-man tag team matches, or any of the six guys involved. CAP: ? If anyone on this board is planning on attending the 10/30 NWA Florida Helloween show, could they please PM me? The 2004 Jeff Peterson Cup Tournament is going to be on sale for $15 at the show and I'd really like to buy it, but I live nowhere near Florida. So ya, if you're gonna be going, please drop me a PM so we can set up something. Thanks.

PHOENIX TO FLY….JUST ONE MORE TIME? FWA management today announced that ‘The Phoenix' Jody Fleisch will be a special guest at British Uprising 3. Jody retired from professional wrestling in the summer of 2003 and has not been seen anywhere near the FWA or indeed the UK wrestling scene ever since. The former FWA British Heavyweight Champion had remained silent on his reasons for this premature retirement, when seemingly at the peak of his powers, while in the midst of a bitter rivalry with his former best friend ‘The Wonderkid' Jonny Storm . This shock announcement, which has come completely out of the blue to us here at Frontierwrestling.com, will fuel speculation that Jody may make a return to actually compete in the wrestling ring. However, this is not expected to happen at British Uprising, nor by any means is this anywhere near a ‘given' at any time in the future. There is no evidence to suggest that this will turn out to be anything more than a ‘one night only' appearance. Although no official statement has yet been made by FWA bosses, sources close to the management team told us that Jody first approached them a few days after Hotwired, requesting an opportunity to appear in front of the FWA fans one more time. It is believed he wanted the chance to say goodbye to his legions of supporters and as British Uprising 3 was the biggest show in the company's history, this seemed an opportune moment for him to do so. This marks something of an about-turn for The Phoenix because at the time of his retirement, he personally requested that his departure from the wrestling scene should remain as low key as possible, and politely declined any attempts by the FWA to persuade him to be honoured with any kind of official send-off or retirement ceremony. The reasons for this change of heart are unclear at time of going to press. It is also unclear whether Jody will give any explanation for his sudden retirement when he appears at British Uprising, or indeed what form this special guest appearance will take. We hope to have an official statement from FWA management on this bombshell news within the next seven days right here on www.frontierwrestling.com SECOND UPROAR MATCH ANNOUNCED A six-man tag team match has been signed for the British Uproar pre-show special at Uprising 3, exclusive to Ringside Ticket Holders and Fan Club members. This will pit Alex Shane 's Security team of Stixx, Stone and Leroy Kincade against the unit of Dangerous Damon Leigh, Jack Storm and making his FWA debut ‘The Raging Bull' TJ Cain. It is believed Cain was offered the final spot in this match after impressing FWA scouts in his matches for FutureShock Wrestling and GPW in the north west of England last weekend. Dangerous Damon himself has become a regular and a crowd favourite on the FWA Live shows in Morecambe this year, but this will mark his in-ring debut on a major FWA show. Ditto Midlander Jack Storm, who will be keen to impress in front of something of a local crowd for him. Of course they will have their work cut out for them against The Showstealer's trio of hired thugs Stixx, Stone and Leroy. The only way to see what will happen in this match is to buy yourself a Gold, Silver or Bronze ringside ticket for Saturday November 13. TWO MAJOR SCOOPS SET FOR SATURDAY FWA Commissioner Flash Barker released a press statement yesterday advising us at www.frontierwrestling.com that two major decisions have been made that will have far-reaching implications for British Uprising 3. First of all, Flash said the management team has agreed to his request to appoint a special guest referee to the six-man tag team match at British Uprising, pitting the team of ‘The Twisted Genius' Dean Ayass – ‘The Righteous' Paul Travell , Burchill and Terry Funk – against Greg ‘The Truth' Lambert 's Triad – ‘The Highlander from Hell' Drew McDonald , Thunder and Raj Ghosh . Flash explained that he had been concerned about the escalating war of words between Lambert and Ayass – in particular the accusations flying back and forth between the two that they each may try to influence the outcome of the match in some way through outside interference. As both Ayass and Lambert have cast-iron managers' licences and cannot be banned from ringside at Uprising, Barker said it was imperative to appoint a special guest official who would – in his words – “understand the mindset” of The Twisted Genius and The Truth, someone who could “get inside their heads” and ensure their presence at ringside would have no bearing on the result of this extremely important match. It is believed the identity of this special guest referee will be revealed in Patrick Lennon 's ‘Fighting Talk' column in The Daily Star this coming Saturday. UPDATE: The special guest referee for this match has been revealed as JIMMY HART! The second announcement will concern the opponent of D'Lo Brown at British Uprising 3. Flash's statement said that the management team had considered the merits of both Mark ‘Five Star' Belton and Jonny Storm, had taken into account the Wonderwhirld Tour petition of thousands of signatures from fans who have demanded to see Storm reinstated into the FWA, and also the protestations against Storm's return by some members of the FWA roster, the most vocal of which have been James Tighe – who of course defeated The Wonderkid in a Loser Leaves FWA Match – and Belton himself. Flash also said that a final decision would be announced on Saturday that would not only determine an opponent for D'Lo on November 13, but also resolve the issue of Jonny's possible reinstatement. Frontierwrestling.com will have the exclusive on the D'Lo-Belton-Storm situation right here this coming Saturday and will also break the news on the special guest referee for Travell, Burchill and Funk versus The Triad after it has appeared in The Daily Star. UPRISING MUSIC VIDEO DEBUT SET Tune in to The Bagpipe Report on The Wrestling Channel this Friday night at 8pm to see the debut of the long-awaited British Uprising 3 Music Video. That will be followed at 9pm by a brand-new episode of FWA TV, where ‘ The Righteous' Paul Travell is scheduled to face his former partner Raj Ghosh with five minutes in the ring with Greg Lambert at stake, Stevie Knight and Mark Sloan will team up to battle Dirk Feelgood and Dangerous Damon Leigh, and Steve Corino returns to take on ‘The South City Thrilla' Hade Vansen . Don't miss it!!! GOLD RUSH FOR ROSS Ross Jordan is the latest name to be thrown into the hat for the huge Battle Royal at FWA Gold Rush. SCOTT HALL AND KEVIN NASH ARE COMING TO VICTORY ROAD - BUT WITH DIFFERENT AGENDAS? NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett dropped a bombshell on Friday’s Impact, announcing that both Scott Hall and Kevin Nash – known as The Outsiders – will be coming to Victory Road on Sunday, November 7 live on Pay-Per-View! HOWEVER – Jarrett’s comments are already causing controversy, as he claimed Scott Hall will be “on his side” at the Pay-Per-View. Below is what the World Heavyweight Champion said on Impact: "The good news is that Scott Hall is on MY side...and Nash, the bad news is on you. You want to come in on the other side? Let me give you a little advice - TNA is MY world! Welcome to Planet Jarrett! Kevin Nash - I've given you a global warning!" The Outsiders have remained two of the most dominating and controversial superstars in wrestling in the last decade. Together, Hall and Nash have been unstoppable as well as inseparable – leaving many to question Jarrett’s statements. The legendary Larry Zbyszko had this to say later in the broadcast about the champion's comments - "If Jarrett's mouth is moving, he's probably telling a lie." If Jarrett’s comments are true, it appears Scott Hall and Kevin Nash may be coming to Victory Road with different agendas! We hope to have more on this developing situation on Friday’s Impact on Fox Sports Net. CREDIT: TNAWrestling.com

Ask him about whether it's true Vince was pissed at him and yelling at him for the virgin killers promo. It's recent enough that he wouldn't think you're trying to dig up dirt on him or something like that, and it'd also be interested to hear from his own mouth. -
New Jack charged with aggravated battery
LucharesuFan619 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Once in ECW, Tommy Dreamer vs. Jack was scheduled. Dreamer came out and got on the mic, saying Jack, tonight we're not going to do any hardcore; it's gonna be strictly wrestling. And they put on a 10 or 15 minute wrestling match with no weapons whatsoever. -
True, because everyone knows that after being attacked you don't call the police and see that justice is served, you of course go online and use it as a publicity stunt! But that's just logical common sense, Rodney King did the same thing... I'll take Dave Meltzer's word over that of the police when it comes to pro wrestling-related stories any day of the year.

Can't edit my post (comp. is messed up). I see now that you've seen the Gen. Next 8-man. Sorry about that. Bu those other matches are highly recommended.
-
You must fucking see the Generation Next 8-man tag. Absolutely amazing. AmDrag-Homicide and Briscoes/Second City Saints from 4-24 are highly recommended, too. So is Trent Acid vs. Teddy Hart from CZW and Delirious vs. Arik Cannon from IWA-MS (not sure what date that was).
-
It's obviously not a work in any way. Kashmere was attacked - bottom line.
