  1. He's actually done that on a few occasions before...
  2. Actually, I talked to Angel a few days ago and he was talking about the show as if it was still on...OG Siderman of XPWTV.com/WTFBoards.com/BlackRussianFilms.com also talked to him and posted that he said at least one of the LXW shows were still on...So I don't know what's going on...all I know is I was hoping Corino 1000 would be able to get me LXW tapes at the show...I doubt that'll happen...
  3. I've never even heard've that dude, so I damn sure don't know what the move is... Anyone know these? - Rob Eckos' Stir of Eckos - Jonny Storm's Jonny Driver - Arik Cannon's Glimmering Warlock - Chris Hero's the Red Abott (apparently used last night in wXw vs. Punk) - Chris Hero's Hero DDT (Full Nelson toss into a DDT? Inverted Russian Leg Sweep/DDT combo? something like that? Anyone know what it is?) - Colt Cabana's Sodbuster - Colt Cabana's Tennessee Waterfall - Colt Cabana's Abra-Cabana - Colt Cabana's Canadian Bacon Leaf Hold - Nate Webb's Webb of Death - Nate Webb's Spyder Bite - Rollin Hard's Westside Suplex - Rollin Hard's N*gga Knocka - Steve Stone's White Out (is it his moonsault? or is it something different?) - Vic Capri's Hayabusa Special - Mitch Page's Page Bomb - Shark Boy's Shark Blast - Sonjay Dutt's Yoga Fire (apparently used in TNA in one of his first few appearances) - Mike Quackenbush's Lightning Lock (he used it to beat Storm last night at wXw) Also, does anyone know any other of Preston Quinn's finishing/signature moves, besides Rolling Piledrivers, the Cobra Clutch Trifecta, and a Sitdown Powerbomb? Also, JC Bailey's Rat Trap is like Nick Mondo's Assault Driver, right? Anyone know the difference between the two moves? Also, anyone have any idea what Jonny Storm's "Barrel Role Michinoku Driver II" looks like? Same with Juvi's 911 Juvi Driver? I understand it's like a Wrist Clutch Pumphandle Ki Krusher? I can't picture it...Same with Grim Reefer's Twisting Neckbreaker on the knee and Boogalu's Running Trapped Brainbuster/Neckbreaker thingy.
  4. A bloody Carlito Montana leaves the ring following his final appearance in XPW, at Go Funk Yourself in mid-2000. In the match, he received a number of staple gun shots from Rey Mysterio Sr. 10-year ring veteran Hombre de Oro a.k.a. Carlito Montana has been added to the list of those booked to contribute. I'll be conducting a phone interview with him later this week. I plan to ask him about a number of topics, including: *what it was like training under Dynamite D and Verne Langdon in 1990 and '91 *how the Hombre de Oro gimmick came about *his training philosophy *what his initial impressions were of The Messiah and Angel, both of whom he trained *why he remained with Slammers when just about every other member of the roster left the company and jumped to Dynamite D, Patrick Hernandez, and Kevin Kleinrock's SCCW promotion *his initial impressions of Rob Black and Lizzy Borden *how the "Cuban Extremist" Carlito Montana gimmick came about *his memories of XPW's early shows in Reseda, Ventura, etc. *the inside scoop on how he obtained The Messiah his spot on the XPW roster *working with Mike Modest, Messiah, Halloween, Damien 666, Rey Mysterio Sr., and others in XPW *why he left XPW *why he retired from wrestling *what he's been up to since retiring *his thoughts on The Messiah's success in CZW *how he learned of The Messiah's real-life injuries in his home by two thugs *and more Any other questions you have, please post. More names to be added in the next few days and weeks. Also, I'll be interviewing Leroy The Ring Crew Guy later today. A transcript of that interview should be up in the next week.
  5. Alright, time for some fuckin verbal asskickin. And you can tell Barbie's pissed because he doesn't put the asterisk in place of the "u". *Cracks up* Indeed.
  6. Alright, time for some fuckin verbal asskickin. I wasn't even laughing so much at the fact they got 87. I was laughing at how the very first thing in the post of these results said "in front of 87 people" or something like that. I thought it was funny that the first thing I read was that there was such a small attendance, but I wasn't laughing so much at the size as much as the fact that it was posted where it was in the post. Stacy McMackin's official results doesn't post attendances. You did, and when I combined the placement of the attendance in the post and size of it, what I came out with was this - that a funny statement had been made. But then again, I guess the LOL-style commands can be taken out of context on the Internet, right? Lord almight... And I had absolutely no intention of bringing up XPW, but if other people are, they know how big a fan I was of them...so I'll say this - the reason XPW got such low attendances was because they expanded too quickly. And the reason they expanded too quickly was because they wanted to get a professional look to them...to stop running in Pico Rivera and shitslums like that and run in a real historic building, Viking Hall, where magazines would fucking cover them, contrary to what they did when they were in Cali. The reason IWA-MS draws so shitty is that Ian is too hesitant to take risks - to see if running in bigger buildings would get them more exposure and therefore higher attendance. As GQ Money told me in my interview with him... "XPW took risks, XPW had balls, and XPW did things the XPW way." I couldn't have said it better. Now people should know not to antagonize me, LOL, because they know I get lured in easy. I was NOT laughing at the attendance from the perspective that it was shitty as much as the way it was expressed in the post. God...take it easy, like I said. Now who overreacted now? I think a few people that posted above me...
  7. Some people have to lighten the fuck up. Jesus... The Messiah just did one for Mark Out Radio.
  8. I'm writing a column about Juventud Guerrera, and am wondering some stuff that some may be help me with - for those who subscribe(d) to the Observer newsletter...in late 2001 to like mid-2002, there were a lot of tidbits about Juvi and where his career/mind/life was standing at the time. I'm very interested to know some of what was being reported about him, so as to incorporate it into my article. Credit will assuredly be given if you want it to. PM me or post here if you know anything. Thanks.
  9. Ya, I remember that deal, and it pissed me off a lot. The match was said to be real good, but fuckin management never wants a dark match to be good . I asked Guido about it several months before he signed with WWE and he said he was also real frustrated that a good performance doesn't get you points anymore with WWE...you have to charisma and all that crap. Anyway, Downhome, thanks a bunch. Again, I have no prob adding in a thanks to thing, because I don't know where I would've gotten that info had it not been for you. So thanks. Also, regarding this article I'm doing (which won't be posted for at least another month) - for those who subscribe to the Observer newsletter...in late 2001 to like mid-2002, there were a lot of tidbits about Juvi and where his career/mind/life was standing at the time. I'm very interested to know some of what was being reported about him, so as to incorporate it into my article. Credit will assuredly be given if you want it to. PM me if you know anything.
  10. Yeah, I actually checked your site and didn't find it there, at which point I decided to ask. Downhome, thank you very much. If you want me to add a "thanks to" mention in the article (when I post it) regarding you, PM me, cuz I'd be happy to do so.
  11. Juventud Guerrera had a memorable WWE dark match in I believe October or September 2002. It's memorable because he ignored most of what he was told and did a ton of spots, and thereby got on the company's sh*t list. I'm looking for the date of this match, who he wrestled, any info about it, for an article I'm writing. RajahWWF.com has an archived headline with like three sentences about it, but I can't find anything else. Thanks in advance.
  12. Topic says it all. Thanks in advance.
  13. Sid sounds really...like...laid back...from this interview. You wouldn't expect that from a guy like him. Good read. Thanks for posting. I'm surprised he didn't shoot on Hulk, more, considering how much Hulk has criticized him.
  14. This is Teddy's official statement, posted on the ROH forums earlier today... To Whom it may concern, I'd like to address the fact that Mike Johnson is full of sh*t. Due to what was posted about the altercation between myself and CM Punk, I would like to let it be known that Mike Johnson was not there, had no idea what happened with the exception of what was told to him by his buddy CM Punk. Do to the frequent lies and half truths spoke about myself by flakes like Mike Johnson and others who have never stepped in the ring, never met me for more than a minute and are the wrestling equivilent of tabloid reporters and papparzzi. It's a shame that the fans who look to the internet as there one source of truth about this business must continuelly be forcefed lies while having no access to the actual truth itself. So Mike Johnson can't continue to lie, I have a list at least six people who saw the fight occur. Chris Sabin Sabu Hotshot Johnny Devine Jack Evans Lit A crossing guard from Nashville The kneebar story or Ted Hart with a scrape and a fat lip is all bullsh*t and if CM Punk wants round 2 I am ready and willing to put him down for a second time. CM PUnk if you have balls, bring a camera, let the truth speak for itself. 1 nothing Canada I offer one more open invitation to CM Punk, the man whose fearless but is actually the biggest chickensh*t on the planet. There's a "dungeon", you might have heard of it. If you and Mike Johnson want the facts then step on the plane and get ready for the pain. Put your money where your mouth is, or take your less than 30 second ass kickin and stop running your mouth because if Sabu wasn't there, between you and me, you know that you'd have a hard time lying to Mike Johnson and complaining to everyone who will listen with a wired jaw. Contact #'s for Mike Johnson and CM Punk, airplane info, this is a shoot. I'm sick and tired of you talking sh*t, step in the ring and you will see who is the king. God Bless Ted Hart
  15. Did the info on PWInsider come from Punk, or was Teddy exaggerating there?
  16. "Actually?" That makes it sound like he has no credibility. On one level, as a business man, he doesn't have much, but as someone who was there and was inolved, he has more credibility than anyone. Face it...Mike didn't need to cause that thread to be deleted. I made an analogy comparing Mexico and Bob Barnett to this incident and him, an analogy that you probably don't even understand. My mention of him was completely pertinent. And doesn't Mike have a day job? He's surfing the forums during the day during a work week?
  17. This is the greatest backstage bullshit week in some time. Suddenly Mike Johnson's waste of bandwidth last night when he attempted to put me to shame, only failed miserably...well, suddenly everything I said about him sounds as if it was true. And it doesn't surprise me. My question, though - I can't find it on the board. Was it deleted? Also...Did anyone copy what Mike Johnson said in reply to Teddy? If so, please post it or PM it to me, because I'd like to know.
  18. Or this one: http://www.theddt.com/viewnews.cgi?category=1&id=1077781114
  19. A "Where Are They Now? list has been added to the list of stuff to come in the next six months, as a part of this retrospective. It'll fill you in on what virtually anybody whose once worked for XPW is currently doing. And like I said, several more big names will be announced this weekend to contribute.
  20. Like Buch Woodward explained a few years ago on his site, Bradshaw was indeed a fairly legit draw a few years ago during the height of the APA gimmick, which - let's face it - was EXTREMELY popular at a point. It had a ton of a merchandise and there'd be a lot of APA signs in the arenas. Singles wise, he wasn't a draw, but with Ron Simmons as the APA, they had a lot of fans.
  21. I'd still hit it. No doubt about it.
  22. As much as I hate him, I'd love to read an autobiography of Heyman, and I think it sucks he won't be releasing one. The stuff about ECW would be tremendous. SO many topics to be explored. I really wanna hear his side of his dealings with Rob Black, whether he really "hits like a girl" (as The Messiah said about their encounter at ECW HeatWave 2000 during the XPW incident), what happened between he, Sabu, Axl Rotten, Shane Douglas, and the other guys who hate him now, etc., but to do those things, he'd have to write an autobiography, and to do that, he'd have to admit that he lived with his mommy into his late 20's, and he'd never do that.
  23. Yes, they were.
  24. I don't wanna waste the bandwidth and make a whole new thread, so I'm just gonna post updates for this retrospective in this thread, until I release the next part of this GQ Money interview. In the next few days, you can expect some announcements about a number of very big XPW-related names who will be contributing to this retrospective. I should have more sometime this weekend, I expect. As of now, Johnny Webb, GQ Money, Verne Langdon, Chris Hamrick, Leroy The RCG, M-Dogg 20, Josh Prohibition, and Mike Modest are confirmed, but I can almost guarantee 100% that there'll be several more added, possibly even a number totaling in the double digits. A number of guys I didn't think I had a chance of getting to contribute are now very possible. Learn about the sh*t you weren't meant to know regarding XPW in the next six months. It's gonna be some good stuff that'll have a lot of people talking. And the offer is still active for those who want to send me info about the RF Video shoots with Corino, Kristi Myst, and RF (specificlaly the XPW parts of the interviews). In return, I'll send you a free copy of ROH Night of the Grudges (and this isn't illegal...it's a master, not one I'm copying or something...box art included, too.) or a WWF comp from '98. PM me for more info. Also, fans who have photos of themselves or wrestlers at XPW shows, send the photos to [email protected]. I'll be sure to put a copyright warning on each one used.
