You'd think he could have changed his voice just a little. And then Scorpio turns out to be Brad Goodman in disguise? It's Albert Brook's voice. Phil Hartman used the same voice for practically all of his characters. Personally I really enjoyed the movie. It blended aspects of all three generations of Simpsons and had a strong "Simpsons" plot. Even by looking at the writing credits you could see they pulled out the A-Team.

The landshark skit is great! Arenas' argument reminds me of Chris Rock's joke about Sigfried and Roy's tiger attacking them "That tiger didn't go crazy! That tiger went tiger! When it was riding around on a bike it was crazy!".

But if the kids don't have it they won't be the popular kids in school! Or at least I'm sure thats what the parents will argue. In reality it's society to blame for putting these social pressures on them. Personally I don't give a shit about the game either way. I know "expierienced gamers" will make the point that "they know the difference between reality and violence in videogames" but why would you want to play a game where you rip of peoples balls and rape people? And who wants to make a game where you rip peoples balls off? Are you trying to be edgy? Is the whole point that you're pushing peoples boundaries so you force a reaction out of religious groups. I'm not really a fan of censorship but why would you make this content in the first place? Because "you can"? Also the comparison between violence in movies and in videogames is flawwed. It's not about the violence its about the positioning of the spectator and the antagonist.

I agree whole heartedly. I never played Donkey Kong 64 though so i'd be itnerested to give it a look. What ever happend to the Donkey Kong game that was supposed to come out on Gamecube? I remember it being announced at the start of the console's launch. I don't think the game later became Jungle beat either. It was supposed to be a follow up to DK64.

Jaxl has been gone for at least a year now too (excluding that one thread where he talks about getting mugged/ almost murdered).

I'm guessing the release date will be Oct 31 or around that time period? EDIT: nevermind, I saw Aug31st in the trailer, at least in the US. It doesn't look to bad but I hate the remake idea. Carpenter could have gone back to redue it and I would have still had a problem with it.

It looks like Brawl has been possibly pushed back in Europe till 2008. It's at the least TBA at the moment. If thats the case they'd better bring out a freeloader or some type of region remover before that.

That started out as a good thread but turned into plain hearsay, to bullshit rumours to just respones to earlier quotes by the end. I think they had it pinned for a while but I'm guessing they don't anymore.

Alias gave Abrahms a small cult following but Lost made him an internet "messiah". I think he's a good talent and MI:3 was probably one of my favourite movies last year but I don't think he's one of Hollywoods "most creative talents". If a director other than "the creator of lost" had released the "cloverfield" trailer, I doubt it would get as much internet hype/ love that it does. I hate prequels but this Star Trek movie might not be terrible. I'm not going to shit on it before seeing it at least as I hate it when people do that. Recent examples would be Transformers, Die Hard 4, The Simpson movies etc where people have shit on the by just hearing the idea, and it turns out that they are all really great movies. I just hope they don't do stupid references to future events. Like show Kirk and Spock going to the Enterprise at the end of the movie. For example: I hated the end to Batman begins with Gordon giving him the Jocker card. Can we not believe that time has past before he jumps right it. For me it just came off as a little corny.

Just wondering, is the Madden on the PS3 the same as the Madden on xbox360? Because personally I thought the game was dogshit. It was too arcadey focusing on flashing graphics and camera angles as opposed to graphics. There was little or no technique as say with the PS2 "traditional" style of madden, and 2 player was a joke, seeing as you could glance to the other side of the screen and see the exact play your opponent was making. I'm just hoping this years Wii / PS2 versions are more like the previous incarnations rather than the xbox360 version.

Yeah I saw screens from the game too. Looks almost like it could be WWE Attitude...which I guess is to be expected for the DS, especially if it's attempting to keep alot of career game modes. The fighting technique almost makes it look turn based too. In the grand scheme of things it probably won't resemble a wrestling game but it might be an interesting expierience to say the least.
