Anyone remember that roundhouse kick he did at the '92 Royal Rumble? Kawada wishes he could kick like that. And as for Jake Roberts being next... I bet he lives to be 150.

Saddam plans to run for President of Iraq
Toshiaki Koala replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
I'm sure someone can run for office while in jail. A dead guy ran against John Ashcroft - and he WON~! -
This is the worst news I've heard all week. I can't remember the last time a wrestler passed away and I actually felt sorry for him/her - the recent ones have all been druggies, elderly people, or guys I never gave a shit about. Sorry, but that's the truth. As legendary as Davey Boy Smith was, and as much as I loved him, he had it coming. Bossman, though... he truly didn't deserve this. He was never a great worker, but his character was one of the all-time greatest. His feud with the Big Show was possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen on television, and he delivered a CLASSIC line regarding it a year or two later: (Kurt Angle, feuding with the Big Show at the time, runs into Bossman backstage) ANGLE: Hey, you don't like the Big Show, right? BOSSMAN: I pulled his daddy out of the grave across the cemetary at high speed! RIP, Ray. You always put a smile on my face. With deepest regrets, and tears that are soaked...

I, for one, will not go anywhere near the DVDs. Anakin smiling at Luke at the end of ROTJ is my all-time favorite moment from a movie; it's not 'cool' or anything, there's just something about it that's special to me, and I get chills every time I watch it. Now Lucas has replaced it with Hayden's creepy leer. And this is only the worst of the many horrible changes he is made. Han shooting Greedo was a hilarious moment that really defined Han's character - now it's simply another mindless action scene. Luke falling off the platform in Cloud City was awesome, until Lucas added the scream. The impact is gone. And the beak and tentacles in the sarlaac pit are unbelievably stupid-looking and unmenacing. Oh, and let's not forget 'Jedi Rocks.' You know what, George? Fuck you. I hope you don't make a penny from this.

Favourite/Least Fav. Regular Spots
Toshiaki Koala replied to The Mandarin's topic in General Wrestling
The worst spot EVER is when a guy just jumps off the top rope with his arms kinda out to the sides, lands on his feet and gets punched. It really looks pathetic, and you just know it's gonna be countered because the guy jumping off isn't set up to actually do any move. Hilariously, Chris Jericho actually HIT this spot on Regal once (I think it was at WMX7, but I could be wrong)! It was painful to watch - he sort of fell off the top rope and bumped Regal with his ribs. I guess Regal was supposed to counter it but forgot to. A spot I love, I've seen Benoit do it a few times, is when Person A whips Person B into the ropes and jumps up for the Frankensteiner, but Person B holds on to the ropes and Person A flops onto his back. If done properly, it's brutal and funny at the same time. -
When somebody botches a move, JR will call it 'modified' or a 'variation' on that move. For example, if Victoria tries to powerbomb Trish but can't lift her and ends up dropping her on her head, she's just hit Trish with a modified powerbomb. Also, a really bad match isn't bad, it's 'unorthodox.'

I'd like to see somebody else try the superplex-countered-into-DDT that Dean Malenko used on Scotty at Backlash 2000.

The Liberals will ban the bible!

Guys, there's no reason to mock the Republican party for doing the senisble thing - the hillbilly vote is a crucial factor in the election! -
Ann Coulter shares her thoughts about the election

Wow... what a psycho cunt. -
"George W. Bush, you come out here night after night, week after week, and run your mouth about how you've done so much to help our country, how you've made us safe from terror. Well this November on election night, the only one who's gonna need protection... is you. If ya smell-la-la-la-lell... what John Kerry... is cookin'!"

Sadly, Heyman will probably squash him and win cleanly.

We should just ban the word 'hippie,' and kkk will self-destruct.

I'm now taking bets on a Miller v. Carter duel

It's YEARG. YEARG. Fucking dumbass. -
Funny, considering who's saying that. This is the first WWE DVD I've purchased, and it's absolutely terrific. When I bought it, I didn't even know the main feature was on there, but it was very involving and really makes you appreciate His contributions to the business. It's worth buying for this alone. I would have liked to see Benoit's match against Austin from Edmonton where He gives Austin ten rolling Germans, but the overall match selection is very good. The commentary with Grisham was annoying because Benoit and Malenko were so busy correcting his mistakes that they didn't get to talk much about wrestling. That guy is quite the putz. The Regal match seemed to be running at super-speed - did anyone else notice this? Did it have something to do with the type of cameras used (I'm ignorant about this stuff)? -J.R., after Benoit's diving headbutt off the cage.

No title that is/has been held by Bradshaw can be taken seriously.

Official: US Capture of bin Laden close
Toshiaki Koala replied to bob_barron's topic in Current Events
Echoing kkk's thoughts (!), I see no reason to believe we're any closer to capturing him than last time we got one of these reports (read: about last month). -
Wow, people actually read novelizations? You learn something new every day.

Hey, I've got an idea. Why not make Jesus VERSUS Superman? How awesome would that be? Forget about having a plot, just give us 98 minutes of them fighting on top of buildings. At the end, they could settle their differences and join forces to quash a Satan-Luthor alliance. Throw in some snappy one-liners and a gratuitous nude scene, and Titanic would be quaking in its boots. (Awaiting response of "never. post. again.")

Holy cunt... I came to this forum to post the EXACT SAME CLIP! And it was from a different URL - must be becoming a cult phenomenon. The version I saw was called "casting.mpg," which means there is an entire library of footage like this! Just imagine how brilliant the others must be...

One and Only MTV Video Music Awards Thread
Toshiaki Koala replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in Music
I caught bits and pieces of the show. Pathetic. Those people in the robes (Polyphonic Spree?) gave me the willies. My new member title is a word coined by a person on the VMA awards - does anyone know who? -

Haven't had one of these stories in a while

A misdemeanor? What fucking bullshit. I hate PETA as much as anyone else, but the scumbags who made this a lesser crime than marijuana possession should be tortured to death, slowly and thoroughly. Sad thing is, the little twat probably won't spend a day in prison. She'll go home to her parents they'll send her off to the nice doctor who will try to figure out what made her so mean. And of course there will be a lawsuit in there somewhere, to the benefit of no one. Our legal system is biased against human beings. I'm a liberal, by the way. -
Why does Lucas feel the need to "improve" upon these movies? Only a few of the changes have actually made their respective scenes better, and some are downright sacrilegious (if you worship Star Wars, that is ). My signature picture pretty much says it all. Funny you should mention the spoiler issue - I found out Vader was Luke's father by glancing at the back of a trading card (at someone else's house) LONG before I saw ESB. Sad, isn't it? EDIT: Never mind about the picture; it's in the shop for repairs.
