This is a dang good show. I'm really looking forward to this on video.

Bad Blood and Great American Bash Promo Posters
thuganomics replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in The WWE Folder
Posters and ads have nothing to do with the PPV at all. I remember Vengeance 2001's poster, which featured Triple H about three weeks before his return. -
I'm actually working on a full-scale roster update from top to bottom. Rave-X's updates annoy me with the massive decreases in wrestler ability, not to mention the obsessive focus on California and Northeast based promotions. It's about 75% complete, and I'll make sure to post here when it's finished.

Nicieza's a decent writer, but not even he can save Liefeld's art and story-telling. Hopefully, he'll keep Feral out of the book though.
-
...it will suck, too. I really, really hope Def Jam Vendetta 2 has a ring, because this year is looking pretty damn sad for wrestling games. Oh well, there's still the new PS2 ULTIMATE MUSCLE!!! You forgot the one fairly traditional wrestling game in the works: Konami's Rumble Roses. Supposedly its pretty good, though it has an all female cast.

Championship match for Bad Blood announced
thuganomics replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
Uhmm... Let's say that i agree with you (and i don't), How would you do the build up to a match like that? Tajiri promo... I don't think so Benoit promo... Uhm... As i said, one of my favourite wrestlers of all time, but not the strongest promo cutter It would be extremely hard to pull a soryline that would fit them without lowering it to a panthomime level. and to the match itself. I like Tajiri and i like the prospect of seing him wrestling with the likes of Benoit, Eddie, Even HHH was nice. All that on TV would be nice. But for a main event on a PPV you need more than pure werstling talent. You need more then pure wrestling talent to main event a PPV? You do? *Crickets chirp* *Tumbleweed rolls by* Right. Sure you do. Doing Tajiri vs Benoit would be easy as pie. I'd prefer to have Tajiri with a manager to cut promo's for him but focus the basis of the match around Tajiri's unique style and how Benoit hasn't really wrestled anybody like Tajiri before. Put over Tajiri's mat skills and ability to counter the crossface and put the kicks over as death. The story would be Benoit having to look back into his past days in Japan and ECW and needing to modify his moveset to beat Tajiri (finish the match with a powerbomb or stf or something he's never won with before.) Or you could have a match full of Christian putting Benoit in headlocks and doing 1000 different reverse ddt variations. Your choice. I respect your love for Tajiri, and agree he's a talented wrestler, but have you watched WWE, well, ever. The last time WWE based a feud on pure wrestling was some time in the Bruno Sammartino era. And it probably wasn't very good... There's no way in hell that Tajiri would ever get a main event push. EVER. He's small AND he doesn't talk. Christian has a slim chance, though I'm sure we'll see Batista in the main event before we do him. I like Christian, but Vince really doesn't seem to think of him as anything more than an upper midcarder max. -
Hopefully, they build up to Kanyon's debut, rather than bring him in as a hey, look it's Kanyon. I'd like to see him become a major player in TNA.

A couple of notes from that list above. 3CW in Springfield is now a part of New Midwest. Peoria's got Next Generation Wrestling, which actually puts on some good shows.
-
You're that big of a Nash fan? Seriously, it's cool to see Foley back in Japan. And he's probably going to have five times the match Goldberg would have had.
-
It sounds like H2 is going to stick to the six-sided ring and that's it, so it should make for an interesting show.
-
Absolutely, though Focus isn't a cohesive universe.
-
I guess the shadows could be them but I doubt it. I'm pretty damn sure that Blackout (Ruckus, Joker, and Sabian) are three of the outlines on the main page though.
-
Jacqueline as Cruiser champ makes perfect sense. She "wrestles" like a hoss, and that's quite obviously what's wrong with Smackdown. Not enough hosses. Too bad Crash is gone, as he'd be getting a cruiserweight title match next week if he was still with us.
-
So, 6 months before TNA finally goes under?
-
I'm truly disturbed that WWE is actually putting a Bruno match on a DVD. Betcha it's him losing to Graham though.
-
Supposedly, Corino and Hart had been turned in to a work, so you never know about appearances from him. However, I'm thinking we won't see a lot of bigshot stars. A lot of indy high-flyers instead. If the shadows on the main page are any example, we only have 5 more members of their roster to announce...
-
So, when the year is up on these contracts, how many stars are going to ditch out on TNA?
-
I'd rather have The Bloody, who's hot and can wrestle, but I'll definitely take her. And yes, I'd hit that too.
-
And the first draftees are the reunited Backseat Boys. Teddy and Court know what they're doing with the talent.
-
I'm pretty sure the "draft" is just a cool way to announce new stars joining H2. We'll see though.
-
I'll be shocked if we don't see a Michaels heel turn tonight (I also expect him to win the title.) The Lita heel turn is a good bet too, with her joining Kane.
-
Toryumon and H2 are officially linked now. Toryumon star Taiji Ishimori has joined the roster of H2.
-
Does anyone care? It's just a recap show with some goofy added segments. The only thing the show has going for it is Ivory.
-
I've got to agree that Edge would be a better fit for Smackdown. That being said, I can easily see him in a feud with HHH within the next two to three weeks.
