Thank you RRR, You said my point better than I could have with amount of sleep I have'nt gotten.

As a counterarguement to that, there is such a thing as a over push. Angle in '01 was pushed to hard without the fans having reason to buy him as top level then. The same is true with Gowen.
-
I believe, due to fan apathy against HHH for the mostpart, any heel going against HHH will be turned face. They will probably have to have HHH come to the defense of a face in order to get any favorable reaction.

You know, just for shits and giggles, I would like to see a three man announce team of Stevie Ray, Jerry Lawler, and Ernest Miller. Come on you jacked up fruit booty! *punches self in head*
-
Well I've seen his OVW work, and lets just say, he isn't ready yet. The look is there but the mic skills and in ring work are pretty green. If you would have asked me, I'd have said that he would've been the least likely to be called up.

The Talent That's Going To Miss Out on SS...

Not much luck on that. They can't even figure out how to run one top feud. -
I just got f'ing robbed. I'm NWATNA and over time have gotten WWE down to 60PI. One of the main reasons is a 3 month feud between Angle and Daniels (who stuck around even though he still toured with japan and I'm Global). Feud Heat was 97%, Angle 99 over, Daniels 98, and feud total was 17-18. I was going to have Angle win clean and the day before the PPV, ROH somehow convinces Daniels to sign a written contract with them destroying my whole XXX gets taken down storyline I was running. Roh was national with PI of 5 and the next day I get the E-mail saying how the new Touring rosters where set up so there must have been a fairly large glitch in there just to f' me over .

I don't know why but that made me fall out of my chair laughing.

He's been a model employee, willing to listen to advice from anyone backstage, rotates and adds to his moveset more than any other big man, has managed to stay injury free during his whole tenure in WWE, and something alot of you seem to forget wrestling was, is now, and will always be a type of sideshow attraction where a unique look is a bonus.

But the announcers didn't put it over that way and the highlights made it seem like it was only because of A-Train that Cena won.

Cornette Rules it once again
{''({o..o})''} replied to Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye's topic in The WWE Folder
I would love Cornette as an announcer, but he's said many times the only way he'd be an announcer for WWE is if every show was in Ohio. He doesn't want to go on the road much anymore and has way too many enemies in highplaces now. Plus we'd lose the goodness that is any of his apperences on Wrestling Observer Live. -
Well, he was over as the Hip Hop Hippo, but he was teamed with the charasmatic Scotty 2 Hotty. They way they turned him sucked pretty bad but lead to the great line "You made me dance for you!". Boy, there is almost an A-Train Alliance going on here. Kinda weird that I'm in it so much especially since I'm not a huge A-Train fan.

I just got to disagree with one thing. Scott Hall drew 4 people in his ten years. What can I say my family loved the pornstar mustache in AWA. -
True, the great giants in history got over because they were unique. And if you have nothing but they lose their mystique.
-
And Brock got over from his size a little also. Remember A-Train being about 4-6 inchs taller than Brock during their match? I'm not saying push him because he's big bt if they f'ing used him right we wouldn't be having this conversation. Well I've been defending A-train for over 24 hours now and have said my piece so you have a nice time you all and it's been fun debating.

I'll let you know that we Norweigans have a long glorius history. We have a longstanding tradition of being a strong force in history. We have made many contributions that have helped the wo.... wait a minute you mean I'm German. Huh, well in that case. Fuck the Norweigans.

I'm gonna draw a comparison here. Remember before coming to Smackdown, Big Show could have been called unover. But a strong steady push, with a mouthpiece(Heymen), and being booked to capatilize on his strengths not his weeknesses, has gotten Big Show over to the point where he is in the top 3 heels in WWE today. All it will take for A-train to do the same is for them not to give up after 2 weeks and not sabtage it like WWE seems to love doing.

The Talent That's Going To Miss Out on SS...
{''({o..o})''} replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in The WWE Folder
I very strongly disagree with you on this point. Cena's main problem is his relative lack of skills in the ring. Cena's best match so far could honestly be considewred his debut against Angle about a year back. If Cena was presented as a strong chalenger, a loss to an athelete of Angle's level, could if booked properly(WWE, yeah right) get Angle over as a stronger champion and help Cenas credibility and help his in ring skills. The only way it would be worthless is if Brock does run-in after run-in. EDIT:Lost a line some how. -

^Thank you. As a reward here's a new pic for everybody. -
Yeah, this basic point has been showing up in a lot of the threads here recently about how even if they want someone to get over they do it in such an illogical fashion that it does more harm than good. Val has had a tough ride that is true, ever since his first major program vs Mankind all those years back. There will always be a stigma about him of micardness because they get lazy and throw the Venis gimmick out again and again. They could have made him a strong heel or face if they would have followed up on the Chief story, but that might have made Austin look bad in the slightest so f' it.

No, that's Jericho. It was something longer and I think it had something about no desernable personaility or something like it. -

The biggest problem in WWE is why should you care about him? They haven't given any reason besides Taker's little respect thing. He's just another rookie who's glad to be there as far as the audience is concerned. BTW someone before had a abreiviated term for wrestler's like Jordan, anybody recall what it was, my minds foggy on it. -

I would have said Gowen if he didn't have his thing going on with the Sensai of Mattitude. Given the alternatives though have Brock destroy Funaki in a similar on the next Smackdown. Because of Funaki's total jobber status, you wouldn't have to sacfrifce Ultimo and though I love Funaki, I think it would be believeable for him to get no offense in whatsoever in this match. -

I could see Spanky after what happened on Smackdown, but as much as I want him on PPV, putting ultimo in the ring with Brock and Big show is just gonna make the offense Ultimo will be able to work on these guys destroy a lot of credibility for pretty much all involved. Plus the fact I hate it when wrestlers who have been feuding as long as Big Show and Brock team up out of nowhere.
