A huge home-and home series starts tonight in Buffalo between the Sabres and Senators. There will be the last two meetings between the teams this season, and the last chance for Ottawa to gain ground directly at the Sabres' expense. Currently, Buffalo is 12 points clear of Ottawa with 22 games remaining for both teams.
The Senators have a full roster after Ray Emery returned from his suspension. The Sabres, meanwhile, are missing five regulars due to injury -- RWs Ales Kotalik and Maxim Afinogenov, Cs Jiri Novotny and Paul Gaustad, and D Jaroslav Spacek are all out.
