Obscure TSM in-jokes RULE! Man, that is obscure. Even I don't remember that one. http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...t&p=2020795

Sens were outshot 18-3 by the Red Wings in the first period. Somehow, they're still scoreless. Why, yes, Ray Emery DID start in goal.

Bagwell has better numbers. No, he doesn't. He doesn't either.

Yes, I used to go on RSPW all the time...but have you visited it lately? It was alwasy kind of crummy, and hard to wade through to get to the good stuff, but it's worse now, only with less quality postings. Oh, I know. I actually haven't visited the newsgroup in nearly a decade, but I usually found the awards ballot on the web and voted. -
WON News + Notes (December 11 Issue)

Of course there would have been, and it is stupid to blame an underling for the screwups of upper management. Unfortunately, Vince isn't self-aware or humble enough to ever blame himself for his own (obvious) failings. He thinks he's a visionary, and if the fans are booing, they're too stupid to know what they really want. I'll bet he seriously thinks the crowd loves to see every new instalment of the Kiss My Ass Club. -

Thank you! Wow, Hogan really does live in his own little world, doesn't he? -

Did anyone vote in the RSPW awards this year? I recused myself this year because I haven't watched enough of anything to have a valid opinion. Perhaps a better question: Does anyone know what the RSPW awards even are? -
I haven't seen any posts about it, but it looks like the search for Bob Gainey's daughter Laura has been called off after three days. She was working on the crew of a tall ship off the coast of Nova Scotia, and was thrown over the side by a giant wave.

Why would you make them play the entire year with it if you've already decided to change? Especially if the players are hurting themselves by using it? Because they spent the last few months making the adjustment to the new ball in the first place. So now they have to adjust back to the leather ball and there is going to be another adjustment period, just like there was at the start of the exhibition. I see your point, but I don't think there's going to be as much of an adjustment needed, since they're going back to a ball they've played with for years.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Discussion over. Given that the new owner of the Penguins is from southern Ontario, I think you'd see them move to Canada before going to Portland.

Not appreciably. Attendance was up 1% last year over 03-04, and it's up another 1% this year.

My favorite defensive player is Terrell Suggs, but Ed Reed is right up there. They got him with their first pick in 2003 though, when they could have gotten Leftwich with that pick..and then when Leftwich went they got stuck with making the retarded trade to get Boller. But I digress.. Like they said yesterday, the entire Ravens defense is full of Pro Bowl callibre players and Im betting that Lewis, Reed, Suggs, McCallister, Pryce, Scott and Thomas all go, so its a hard choice to make. Dawan Landry is a defensive ROY candidate although I doubt he'll win it. Im not the biggest Samari Rolle fan though..hes the one that always seems to be getting beat for long receptions. Im not looking forward to when some of the players are let go due to the salary cap like they had to do with Ed Hartwell but Ozzie Newsome is one of the best GMs in terms of getting the best out of their draft picks which has allowed them to keep their great defense going despite losing guys like Hartwell. And I think Rex Ryan might end up as a candidate for a head coaching job too, but not as fast as Marvin Lewis was. Make it Marvin by more than a smidgen now.

Beat me to it. As for one that hasn't been mentioned, the Undertaker's first theme was incredible. As soon as the first *BONG* went off, and the funeral march started, you could see the crowd go silent with awe (and probably a little fear). I liked DiBiase's theme as well, just for the cocky vibe it gave off (and it was accentuated by DiBiase's confident walk to the ring).

Looks like Eric (of Eric & Jeremy) and Danielle (of Dani & Danielle) from season 9 hooked up after the race and are a team as well.

First year of university, I dropped a class (after the drop deadline) rather than try to write a 10-page essay that counted for 40% of our grade in two days. I can think of at least five times when I've written major papers either the night before the due date, or, in a couple of memorable instances, the morning of. I regularly leave food wrappers, empty glasses, etc. in my computer room rather than make the walk to the kitchen to dispose of them. They usually only make it out whenever my wife notices and yells at me. My old apartment was a monument to laziness. It was quite scary. I'm amazed my wife still wanted to marry me after she saw it (despite my half-assed attempt to clean it).

Interesting page: http://www.hockeyresearch.com/mfoster/business/nhl_attn.html The only year the Caps were ever a really decent draw in the last 15 years was 1998-99, the year after they went to the Cup finals.

It's the Bret/HBK Iron man match that doesn't get a lot of love here. -
Yeah, Pittsburgh is actually not drawing too badly for the size of their arena, now that I've checked. Washington is in the bottom 5 in the league for both overall attendance and percentage of capacity. Next time contraction is brought up, they should be near the top of the list.

A.I. and Minority Report. Both should have ended about 15-20 minutes before they actually did. Either movie would have been much better had Spielberg not tacked on their final endings.

It's so funny that everyone in the West is fighting to get Ovechkin and Crosby on the schedule when their own home fans seem to barely acknowledge their existance.

kkk didn't update anything besides W-L.

TO should be subject to those NBA rules about lobbying the officials for a penalty... Mike McKenzie's "taunting" was probably telling TO "knock that shit off... it was NOT pass interference." My thoughts exactly. When the ref called unspotsmanlike conduct, I thought for sure it was on Owens.
