He's been pretty good. 12 points in 16 games, can't really complain. He hasn't been as good on the power play as I'd hoped, but then, the whole power play has been really horrible until recently. He's been a little spotty at times defensively, too, but nothing seriously bad. For the money the Sens are paying him, I'm satisfied.

Reading over the BCS selection criteria again, Michigan is going to get the only automatic berth allotted to a non-conference champion, meaning that no BCS-affiliated team that doesn't win its conference is guaranteed anything. Look at paragraphs 5-6 here: Michigan gets in under paragraph 5, which means paragraph 6 is ignored, leaving the door wide open for whoever doesn't win the SEC and Big East to get snubbed.

Smith wrote that anyone who voted for Pujols "obviously didn't pay attention this season." And then Neyer proceeded to show why anyone like SAS obviously didn't pay attention this season. I think 800 is wildly optimistic. He only scored 54 last season, and that's just going to go down as he gets older. He turns 35 this season, after all.

Plummer was sacked and fumbled the ball with about 15 seconds left. It was eventually recovered by the Broncos, but the ball stayed in bounds, so the clock kept running, and ran out before another play could be run. I think the officials conferred to confirm that the ball stayed in bounds, which led to the ref announcing, "That's the end of the game." In my initial pass through this post, I wrote, "Plummer was sucked." I think that's no less accurate.
