  1. Off the list I'll go We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions, as it manages to be played so bloody often and yet I am still to tire of it. I would go Somebody To Love or It's A Hard Life though.
  2. I personally think it would be a bad option, though I'm not a huge Benoit fan. Benoit is probably the best guy on Raw at the moment. I feel if Benoit beats Triple H they could finally cement him as being a superstar who will be remembered. Benoit losing the title will just return to a tired and safe option. While Triple H has been wrestling well recently, I think for him to regain the belt despite the fact that Raw has been doing rather well lately would be a silly move. Benoit's fine with the belt. I'd say keep him with it for a while and let either HBK win it from him and turn himself heel in the process or Orton so as he can have a "I'm the champ, you're not, why are you my leader?" feud with Triple H. I believe keeping the belt on Benoit is the best option at this point (have Jericho finally get his title shot for Summerslam). Triple H winning the title, while not disastrous, would be in my opinion a fairly counter-productive move. To build this champion strongly I don't think they should have him drop it just yet, nor in a fairly low-profile match such as this.
  3. The thing about deleting your own post is that I think some people may abuse the feature. While it could have some advantages in deleting double posts etc. I think the people using it for petty stupid reasons outweigh the advantages for such an option.
  4. In the past few days: The Professional - 7.5/10 I was a tad disappointed after all the hype. It probably should be an 8 or so, but I was expecting a certain 10/10, and it was merely very good rather than cinema classic. I thought Gary Oldman was a bit over-the-top and I thought the relationship of Jean Reno and Natalie Portman was not as interesting as it could/should have been. Spiderman 2 - 8/10. Very good superhero movie... X2 - 8.5/10 ...but not as good as this one. Still the best.
  5. There was a guy walking down the street. Coming the other way from his was another man, but attached to his neck instead of a head was a giant orange. The guy, never one to be too nosey, found this to be a rare moment and so stopped the man. "Excuse me, I'd hate to be rude, but you do realise you have a giant orange for a head?" he asked. "Yes, of course I know. You think I'd go outside not knowing how I looked?" replied the man with the orangehead. "Of course, of course. If I may ask, how did you get such a thing?" "Well, one day I was walking along the beach, minding my own business, when I unexpectedly came across a lamp. I picked it up and rubbed it, as one does, when a genie popped out. "'You have three wishes,' the genie said. "'Okay, for my first wish, I want a million dollars,' I said. "'Done!' and then a million dollars in twenty dollar bills fell from the sky. "'My second wish is to be able to get with any girl I want,' I said. I then turned to a passing woman and said 'Hey, you'll do' at which point she was putty in my hands and we made sweet love." "Hey, those two wishes are great and all," said the guy, "but it still doesn't explain how you managed to gain a giant orange for a head." "Oh, my third wish was that I had a giant orange for my head."
  6. On the one weekend, huge sale: The Beatles - Revolver Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde Frank Sinatra - In The Wee Small Hours The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground And Nico
  7. He went out in, believe it or not, the first fucking round to Bill Murray. I haven't seen any performance of Murray that matches Denzel's in Malcolm X and Training Day Denzel is so massively overrated it's not funny. His only great performance was in Glory, but there were so many great performances in that his is a tad overshadowed/overlooked. Philadelphia was quite good too but, again, overshadowed. Malcolm X sucked, Training Day was woeful, Groundhog Day and Lost In Translation are better than both of them, as were Murray's performances. Denzel is decisively adequate, but not much more, and I tire of people saying otherwise.
  8. Robert De Niro Gregory Peck (Nicholson was overrated) William H. Macy (Spacey has been in too much pretentious crap since American Beauty) Clint Eastwood (Hard choice) Tom Hanks (Pacino is overrated) Marlon Brando Harrison Ford (why the hell did Norton beat Orson Welles!?) Morgan Freeman (who cares really though. Neither should make the top eight).
  9. Yeah, I always thought the X-Men franchise had five movies in them before they would stop it all. It's only just starting to build into something now! Same thing with Spider-Man, it should have five films. As for Halle Berry, she was the most undeserving Oscar winner in recent memory. Nicole Kidman should have won it for Moulin Rouge, or Jennifer Connelly who shouldn't have been in the Supporting Category. Like Die Another Day was such a challenging role for her. She's been in one great movie (X2) and two good movies (X-Men and Monster's Ball). The rest have been dire. Get over yourself, you're terrible.
  10. That's a great idea.
  11. You're posting a lot of top five songs. 1. John Lennon - Jealous Guy 2. Rolling Stones - Wild Horses 3. The Beatles - Across The Universe 4. Lou Reed - Perfect Day 5. Madonna - Oh Father
  12. My orignal thought was to do that. But it's hard to find. Where the fuck do you live? Pleasentville, USA? Montreal. I don't live in the niceist of areas, but I'm not gonna go around asking people for PCP, considering I don't know if I am getting ripped off or not. I'm not gonna call the kids parents, thats just a bitch move. I'll admit I'm not the hardest kid there is, but I'm not that big of a bitch. You're an idiot. You think it's brave to get in a fight and get your arse kicked? That's stupidity. Get out of it, there's always a way around these things. You think it's being a bitch to dob. I think if you get in the fight then you have no brains. It's better to have no balls than to have no brains. Don't fight (and you're seventeen mate, most people get over this thing by the time their balls drop) and find some way out of it, lest you be a bloody stupidhead.
  13. Why does he want to fight you?
  14. What's wrong with Jack Lemmon? There's nothing wrong with Jack Lemmon, but he's not really what I would call great. And it looks as though there'll be no women come the next round, which I find disappointing yet predictable. As for Russel Crowe, I think his performance in A Beautiful Mind is one of the best I have ever seen. He is currently the best actor of this decade and nobody is anywhere near catching him right now.
  15. Robert De Niro Russell Crowe Audrey Hepburn Jack Nicholson William H. Macy Gene Hackman Bill Murray Humphrey Bogart Sidney Poiter Tom Hanks John Malkovich Marlon Brando Harrison Ford Orson Welles Morgan Freeman Gary Oldman A lot of these people should not be here though (eg. the four people in the last two brackets).
  16. Damn, it's times like these I wish I watched Rove Live. I can tell you though: it is Australia's #1 variety talk show and James Marsters was scheduled to be on it the other night. So I would not immediately discount these rumours, I would think it is quite likely that they are truthful.
  17. My favourite band as a ten year old. Anyway, I'd only say four must-own albums for them: Talking Heads 77, More Songs About Buildings And Food, Remain In Light and Stop Making Sense. Though I do really like a lot of their later stuff, I think the albums are very uneven and the best stuff are the singles which get a fair amount of airplay anyway (eg. And She Was, Wild Wild Life, Road To Nowhere). And This Must Be The Place is a brilliant song. Definitely one of my favourites of their's.
  18. Robert De Niro (btw, it is Cate, not Kate) Patrick Stewart Russell Crowe Michael Douglas Audrey Hepburn Gregory Peck Malcolm McDowell Jack Nicholson William H. Macy Cary Grant John Cazale Gene Hackman Steve McQueen Bill Murray Humphrey Bogart Clint Eastwood Sidney Poiter Al Pacino Tim Robbins Tom Hanks Tony Curtis Meryl Streep Marlon Brando Dustin Hoffman Harrison Ford Henry Fonda Orson Welles Edward Norton Daniel Day-Lewis Paul Newman Charlie Chaplin Gary Oldman So many people in this shouldn't be there. Bruce Lee!? Bela Lugosi!?
  19. I love The Doors. But Heroin is better than LA Woman.
  20. Geez, some people are reaching quite some time ago for their picks. With Triple Threats not counted I'd go even Benoit/Michaels from the May 3rd Raw, Mysterio/Guerrero from the March 18th Smackdown, Angle/Guerrero from Wrestlemania or Guerrero/Lesnar from No Way Out. And that's just this year. I don't know why some people are going as far back as three years ago when I think the first four months of 2004 were amongst the best ever in terms of the title scene.
  21. If we're talking about the IWC, I would have said Randy Orton up until a couple of months ago. Now I'll probably go with Batista? Second place would be Edge.
  22. I think a lot of people here (ie. Czech, JSYK) are being incredibly ignorant in regards to AIDS. It's astounding how closed-minded you are being. To say AIDS is a penalty for the ignorant; it amazes me how naive you are in this day and age. Open your eyes and don't condemn what you don't understand, because you're coming across as a pair of arrogant idiots. Grow up. AIDS sufferers aren't accidentally shooting themselves or trying to wash their balls in a golfball washer. Grow up.
  23. Klaus Kinski James Woods Elvis James Cagney Charlton Heston Boris Karloff Don Cheadle Don Knotts Anthony Quinn Ray Liotta Sissy Spacek Bela Lugosi Bruce Lee Jackie Chan Michael Douglas Sean Connery
  24. Yeah, but Kill Bill 2 is in the top five so far, so I wouldn't say that's such a travesty. You Got Served was pretty terrible.
  25. Personally, both have their arguments as to which I'd prefer to be cured, as AIDS has a 100% death rate whereas cancer sufferers do have a better chance of survival. I chose cancer though because of the fact that AIDS is a more preventable disease. I think AIDS prevention education should be further promoted, whereas while there are possible lifestyle factors that could help in preventing cancer (eg. don't smoke, sun protection) I think it is not as easily prevented as AIDS. Both are terrible diseases (and I honestly believe if I chose to die from one it would be cancer as I think it would be marginally less terrible as AIDS), but I would aim for cancer cure and AIDS prevention.
