  1. Do they all like a lot of other teams, too? I don't know. They are certainly all bigger Dodgers fans than am I. The Dodgers are #1 to them, not to me. That comment was more a jab at Czech than anything due to the unnecessarily vicious nature of the comments in his last post.
  2. I watched the game at a bar full of Dodgers fans. Fun times. Hey, Czech won't even be gone a week.
  3. And apparently, he's going to learn the word "fuck" today.
  4. Crap... Now I've got to watch my friend's 10 year old kid during the game.
  5. I hear Bon Jovi. Must mean it's game time.
  6. Supposedly suspended for stealing painkillers out of another wrestler's bag. As for who is favored between Benoit/Guerrero, I'm not sure. I'll edit the post if I find out.
  7. I received a sample ballot for the upcoming election in the mail the other day, and check out the competition for California State Senate. I apologize for the shadow, but my scanner's not working so I used a digital camera: I knew (and laughed) about Benoit due to seeing signs all over the city, but I didn't know about his opponent. Classic shit.
  8. You know, I don't dislike the name Thunder. In fact, I like it. Magic, Heat, and the (now ill-fitting) Jazz, too. I don't see why the name has to be plural. I get that it's a team of 12 people, but fuck. That being said, those are some horrible uniforms.
  9. You know what? I'm going to play a season with the Raiders as Lane Kiffin on Head Coach and see what happens.
  10. You know what? I'm going to play a season with the Raiders as Lane Kiffin on NFL Head Coach 09 and see what happens.
  11. Happy 30th, Bored! Even if you hate the White Sox, you're a decent guy in my book.
  12. I'm not trying to make myself out to be a martyr. I can take it. But you're one of them, so what does it matter.
  13. I agree, still fly. Also, aside from USC #55, the ones who are criticizing me are all guys who have expressed dislike for me in other areas of the forum. This is only partially about sports. It's largely about those individuals' feelings toward me, and the nature of this board as a whole. I don't agree with the hometown team rule. Okay, well that settles it. If you won't abide by the rules created by professional sportswriters, as in ESPN and other major media outlets, you shouldn't have the right to make your own when you have no qualifications. The whole thing about settings rules about what makes you a fan is ridiculous anyway. Unless it's to the extent of 2 teams being in the same division, then that's just silly. But liking two teams in separate leagues/conferences in the same sport is perfectly acceptable.
  14. double post
  15. Way to avoid the valid criticism, Bob. And like others said, Leo likes 2 teams in the same conference.
  16. Who makes these asinine rules? Name 1 reason I can't be a Bulls fan first and Lakers fan second. If you want to be a prick about it, Bob, actual sportswriters, and not wannabes like you who get their jollies making up "rules" regarding fandom on a fucking internet message board, claim that Rule #1 is to support your home team. So you're disqualified from passing judgment from the start.
  17. The White Sox haven't even played a playoff game yet. I post in NFL threads, and we're only 4 games in. The Bulls have made the playoffs twice in the last decade. The Kings... psh. As I explained to Barron, I grew up in Illinois and I now live in Southern California. The teams I support are in those 2 areas. The Lakers, I started following when Magic unretired in the mid-90's. The Dodgers, I started following when they acquired my former schoolmate, Jayson Werth. Almost every sports fan I've known in my lifetime has a second favorite team. Already explained. They're in different conferences, so what's the big deal? Fair enough. But I've had the Dodger flag in my sig for years, and the Dodgers avatar since before the season (changed my avatar a few times). But I never claimed to be a "diehard" Dodgers fan. I am not. But for Dodgers games, as well as games of other teams I support, I almost never post during regular season games, and I post sporadically in the sports forum as a whole, for one big reason: Like the music folder (and I love music more than sport), this forum is full of elitists and honestly, a lot of the time it's not fun to discuss stuff with people here. The assholes in this forum ruin my enjoyment of the games, and I know many others feel that way.
  18. GO WHITE SOX DODGERS!! I've said it a thousand times, and I know you're not a dumbass like some others who have questioned it- I'm a lifelong White Sox fan, and the Dodgers are my second favorite MLB team/favorite National League team. If the 2 teams played each other, I'd support the Sox all the way. I don't know why people make it a point to give me such a hard time about it here.
  19. GRAND SLAM!!! 4-2 Dodgers!
  20. Uh... Halloween is on a Friday. I'm dressing up as Black Lushus. I'm getting a (slight) tan, borrowing my friend Dolomike's throwback Knicks jersey, and having someone draw a few tattoos on my arms. I recently got a pair of glasses, so that's covered. I'm all set.
  21. I can't stand Tony Gwynn as a commentator. His voice is just so damn annoying.
  22. It stopped for a while, but now it's happening again. A lot.
  23. I will consider getting this game during the end of the month Toys R Us B2G1 sale. But Chris, since you're the one who got me interested, you'll have to teach me the rules.
  24. The Phillies' font used for last names on the jerseys is like something out of a cartoon or children's book.
  25. Snuffbox is readying a sniper rifle and Googling Gallardo's address as of this very moment.
