Luger Shoots on WWE and ECW
River City Rocker replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in The WWE Folder
I have to admit that Lex Luger and MySpace just go together really well... -
That's honestly what I'm afraid will end up happening.

The only time I ever got caught cheating in school
River City Rocker replied to a topic in General Chat
"Mother Teresa called, she hates you!" I got caught cheating a couple of times myself. In the second grade, we were given a test to show that we've memorized our address and home phone number, which we had been learning all week. The teacher had also made a bunch of house-shaped name cards with our names and information, handed them out, and then said "Put them in your desks!" During the quiz, I had forgotten my zip code at the time (62401), so I casually pulled out the name card from my desk, looked, and... Uh-oh, busted! Half the class failed this test for one reason or another, but no one else had "cheated". The funniest example was the kid who just put his first name (Brandon) on the paper, and nothing else. The scary thing is, at the time, I didn't think I had done anything wrong. -
I'd give it to Batman, since he probably has a way to beat everyone, but not before Spider-Man's given him and Cap a hell of a fight. But seriously, that fight would end prematurely when it becomes apparent that three archenemies have formed an alliance, and we see Spidey, Bats and Cap put aside their differences to dismantle the new threat.

There are truly some sick mother fuckers out there...
River City Rocker replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in Current Events
There's absolutely no justification for the reasoning behind this crime, is there? I can't even think of what would make someone do this to an infant. -

A Beat down for passing gas
River City Rocker replied to Man Who Sold The World's topic in General Chat
You guys were planning to beat his ass regardless of whether he passed gas or not, weren't you? -

You win. Thread over.

Agreed. If it's true, there's still time to reconsider this taping plan.

Tom Cruise to eat Katie Holmes' placenta. Cruise believes it will be "very nutritious".

IIRC, they also mentioned something about Sid accusing Jack Tunney of "favortism" towards Hogan, which they forgot about after SNME.

Bloodsport: ECW's Most Extreme Matches
River City Rocker replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Sounds good. Although it probably wouldn't have hurt to include the M-Pro six-man from Barely Legal, and any other Awesome-Tanaka match. Perhaps WWE felt that One Night Stand needed to be represented somehow? As for the lack of Raven matches, well, no one said this was going to be the only "best of ECW" compilation, did they? Still, it would've been nice to include just one match. -
Okay, I'll play too... 1. John Tenta (best bet, sadly) 2. Kurt Angle (those "death wish" rumors come true, probably on live television, to boot) 3. Lex Luger (suicide, or murdered in jail) 4. Vince McMahon (can't think of a cause, but I'll bet it certainly will be a very unusual way to go out) 5. Necro Butcher (takes one crazy bump too many) 6. Jeff Hardy (overdose) 7. Joanie Laurer (suicide) 8. New Jack 9. Bobby Heenan 10. Nick Dinsmore

I think you've done all you can really do by notifying your supervisor. Leave it in her hands to decide what to do about him (if anything happens at all).

The OAO Mystery Science Theater 3000 Thread
River City Rocker replied to DMann2003's topic in Television & Film
I think it was Tormented. I do remember Joel gleefully tossing Servo across the screen as they entered the theater from one of the host segments, so maybe that's what you're thinking of. -
I work at a Wal-Mart. However, I didn't start until 1:45 PM on Friday. The highlight of Black Friday was apparently two women getting into a brawl in electronics over the last laptop computer on special. While they were fighting, a third customer snuck by them, and claimed that computer for herself. I've been told this actually happened, but still...

Hmmm... I'd say move the Angels to Portland, and the Marlins to Charlotte. For those of you who considered Indianapolis, we could always relocate the Devil Rays. But I'd say wait until Tampa Bay management starts dropping hints that they want out of Florida.

Chuck Norris brought down Richard Nixon and Idi Amin. Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked a man just to watch him die. Chuck Norris beat the hell out of Rupert Holmes for "The Pina Colada Song", and made Holmes promise he'd never write another song like it. Chuck Norris came up with Bud Light's "Real Men of Genius" radio ad campaign. Chuck Norris killed at least two notorious email spammers. Chuck Norris once bullied Lucy into finally letting Charlie Brown kick that football.

Segments that made you go WTF??
River City Rocker replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in General Wrestling
I always thought the segment with The Rock and Steve Austin singing "Margaritaville" on the Raw before SS '01 was the most surreal thing I've ever seen in wrestling. Yeah, it was funny as hell, but what was the point? Two rivals singing, and then breaking kayfabe by high-fiving each other after finishing the chorus. Honorable mention had to go to any segment involving Kane showing a sense of humor (the Kane-arooini, his Hogan and Rock impressions in early '02, especially the time when he yelled "Being a freak is COOL!!" after winning the tag titles with The Hurricane, etc.) -
If your team happens to tank the 2007 MLB season..
River City Rocker replied to Mik's topic in Sports
I hope he likes it in Tampa Bay. Or Detroit. Or Pittsburgh... -
Yes... When I was a kid, I lived on a dead end street, and there was this forest just north of the end of the street. Someone had blazed a trail that cut through part of the woods, and a lot of people used it whenever they wanted to walk to the nearby Village Pantry store. One afternoon, I noticed that there was another path leading in a different direction. I was intrigued. So, I went home, said I was going for "a long walk", and returned to the woods to follow this new path, fully expecting to be led to another neighborhood a mile or so to the west of my house. Well, before I knew it, I was lost. After an hour or so (it seemed like forever) of wandering, I noticed some houses in the distance, so I walked towards them, and I realized that I was about three streets over from my own street. I stumbled home just as my mom and sister were leaving to look for me. Later on, someone plowed a dirt path from the end of my street and I followed it to where it emptied out in that neighborhood I had expected to end up when I first got lost in the woods. I had assumed that the city was extending my street to wrap around the woods, linking it to another subdivision. A few years later, the city erected a large fence around the entire forest...
