You summed up my thoughts exactly. I can't believe we lost to Gardner-Webb but its not the end of the world and there is still a lot of basketball to be played. If any UK fans thought that this team was going to suddenly make a deep tournament run this year they were delusional because I wouldn't be surprised if UK gets bounced in the first round of the NCAA's this year (if we even make the tourney).

I feel your pain. I had it until late in the 4th quarter of the Alabama game and lost the Navy-Notre Dame game in OT. It just hasn't been my year with the close games (ex. Alabama-Arkansas this year) but it happens. I'll enjoy playing the role of spoiler over the next several weeks with my 7 losses.

Nice to see dubq with "Bulls v. Blazers and the NBA playoffs" for SNES. I got that game with Madden '93 (the first edition of Madden I ever played) from my uncle who was a game reviewer at the time for free. While the gameplay was choppy I loved taking my Utah Jazz through the postseason and smashing the Bulls in the finals. Anyone ever play Body Harvest for N64? My brother got that game and since his taste in games wasn't good I was like "what in the heck is this?" before I played it and thought it was one of the better games on the console.

Thanks Aero, much appreciated. I hope to pick up the game from a local Gamestop store on the 13th but I imagine it won't be in until several days later because its a cheap release. I'm really excited to give this game a shot, though, as I've been starved from a real wrestling game for years and have never played a Fire Pro game. Looking at the names its heavy Japan (not a surprise) so I guess the new task will be to find a CAW list somewhere so I can create some old WWF guys. Granted, I could buy a MAX drive but haven't given it much thought lately.

Before she got the implants and reverted to screeching out promos, I thought Steph was one of the best (and hottest) female heels the company had. I echo that. So with 6 losses is there any shot at me getting into a bowl game if I win out?

Looking at the differing picks for my matchup I thought I had a great chance at picking up another victory but the football gods have not been kind since Thursday night. I thought Michigan State was a definite win after the first half but its just my luck that all that had to change. South Carolina needs a comeback vs. the Vols to keep my hopes alive or else my bowl hopes are pretty much done.

UK is playing awful today making way too many mistakes, especially on special teams, and is getting blown out by Mississippi State 24-7 at the moment.

I never watched WCW as much as WWF during my youth but I remember when they had someone beat up Ralphus to get back at Jericho. Only problem was that it absolutley backfired because the fans loved Ralphus.

Sweet Jesus. I was afraid something like this was going to happen when they hired Dusty and I guess my fears were well founded. There's no reason the Reds should shell out any money for either of those guys since all they'll give you is about five innings of work combined a year before they pull up lame with some injury. Looks like 2008 is going to be another long year for us Reds fans.

I really don't know what Barack Obama is waiting for. Half the time I even wonder if this guy wants to be president or if he just wants to enhance his own image by running and then hoping his number will be called at a later date. When your trailing like he is in the polls you need to go on the ATTACK. Instead, he's too busy playing defense which totally contradicts the situation he is currently in. His strategy must be to let Edwards do all the dirty work in Iowa and then hope to "rise above the fold" but he needs to face the facts that the caucuses are fast approaching and that alone will not deliver him the election. Coupled with the fact that he is going after the youth vote in Iowa, a HUGE risk since they don't usually vote in the caucuses in large numbers, his campaign has a good chance to finish 3rd behind Clinton and Edwards on caucus night. That said, I will be quite sad if Jesse freakin' Jackson's 1988 presidential run goes better than Barack's in 2008. I also find it sad that at a time when we have a viable African-American presidential candidate the African-American vote seems to be behind a white woman in Hillary. I guess so much for breaking down that barrier.

Yea, I like Yao as well. Guy hussles, plays good ball, and is a good teammate. He might not be able to jump as well or be as physical as some people want him to be but as a Jazz fan I was definitely concerned more about him than T-Mac in the 1st round of the Western Conference playoffs last year. On another note, I always laugh at NBA trades anyway. You know something is wrong with your salary cap structure when everyone has to bust out a calculator to compute what trades work and which ones don't because every freakin' team is over the cap. Which, on another note, makes those NBA dynasty's in video games a total headache.

Buckner is an unfair scapegoat for why the Sox lost that '86 series anyway. If Bob Stanley hadn't thrown a wild pitch to Mookie Wilson on a 2-2 count then the Mets wouldn't have tied that game before Buckner's fatal error and who knows, if Mookie still knocks a ground ball to Buckner with Keith Mitchell coming home then maybe Buckner gets it, tags 1st base, and Boston wins the Series. I've never pinpointed Buckner as the main catalyst for the Game 6 loss. And just to clarify my previous statement on the Ortiz-Youkilis situation, I only support Youkilis being in for the injury situation and not the fear of Big Papi going blind and not seeing the ball. The idea of taking out Lugo, though, and putting Youk at second is interesting but I'm having nightmares of how that would work in practice.

I'm really not agreeing with that decision. I know its hard to sit Ortiz but Youkilis has been a man possessed since the ALCS. Also, with Ortiz's knee trouble it might not be the best of ideas to make him play defense. I guess Terry figures he can get one good game from Ortiz to get the series to 3-0 and then put Youkilis in for games 4 and 5 in Denver.

This is the year of put up or shut up for Courtney Lee at Western Kentucky. Granted, it's not like he's surrounded with great talent (although it got an upgrade in the off-season) but people here are expecting him to get the Hilltoppers into the NCAA's after falling short the last several seasons in the Sun Belt.

I remember on the WWF Coliseum Video "Grudges, Gripes, and Grunts" which has the Money Inc.-Natural Disasters tag title change there is a hilarious part on commentary between Bobby Heenan and maybe Jim Ross (because I believe they dubbed over the original commentary) where Heenan claims Money Inc. have made tag behind the ref's back. After Ross keeps refutting him, Heenan starts slapping his hand into his mic everytime Money Inc. do the switch and is like "they tagged didn't you hear it?"
