WHAT?!?! This Diva Search was CRAP. I hated how it sucked up about 15+ minutes of programming time per week. When I tune into RAW I don't tune in to watch a T & A show, I tune in to watch wrestling. Get rid of these sluts and let's bury this competition once and for all.

So they just recently told him to stop using his trademark kicks? What the hell? What did his offense consist of because of that shit? Punch-kick-clothesline? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't remember the exact play-by-play of the match, but Tajiri didn't use a lot of kicks, didn't use any high-risk manuevers or aerial moves, and his only high spots were the handspring elbow off the ropes (which I marked out for) and the Tarantula. Kerwin dominated most of the match with chinlocks and headlocks which was also bad as hell b/c it bored the hell out of me. Plus, I figured a Chavo 2.0-Tajiri match would go the air a little, BUT I was totally wrong. It was mostly a resthold based match and was quite awful. So yea, Tajiri was toned down and it made me disappointed finally getting to see him wrestle, BUT he got an awesome reception from the crowd (probably more than anyone else on the show save for John Cena & HBK) so I don't see why the WWE doesn't get behind him. God forbid if LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY digs Tajiri there have to be other arenas out there that would too.

I too love battle royals and the Royal Rumble for the same reasons mentioned above. I also loved the old school War Games until 1994 (Rhodes-Parker atrocity) and the Hogan cronies who took it over and made it a joke of its former self.
-
I saw Tajiri wrestle Chavo (Kerwin White gimmick) @ a RAW house show in KY last month where he lost, of course. He definitely seems to be using a toned down style which takes away from his ring presence. I have no idea where he is, but he's probably just another victim of the crowded WWE roster and/or the fact that RAW only cares about the main eventers/upper midcard when it comes to storylines anymore.

HHH now is officially part of creative team
Danville_Wrestling replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
VERY well stated arguement made here. I think you've won me over on why HHH may not be so bad on the writing team, just wanted you to know. By the way, what's up with Shane McMahon anyway? The guy seems to be genuine and seems to have his head on his shoulders more than anyone else in the family. He's got a nice wife and a child and seems to live a very stable life. Why has he vanished from the picture? I'm not saying that he definitely needs to be the head of the creative team, but I miss Shane damn it. -

I was really torn as to who to root for today. I was rooting for Phil because it's just hard to go against the guy and I wanted to see him win another major while on the other hand you had Elkington (another very likeable guy) contending for the PGA on the 10th anniversary of his last major triumph in '95 and Bjorn having another close call in a major. I still have no clue how his putt on the 18th missed, looks like the golfing gods just wanted Phil to win today. -

Yea, I can't wait to watch tomorrow's action on CBS @ 10 AM. Good thing I don't have to start college till next week so I can watch this thing finish out. I think even though the broadcasters were going crazy b/c Tiger is @ -2 and just two shots from Mickelson (and possibly just one shot if Mickelson misses that 3 1/2 footer he ran by the hole before the siren on 14) he has no chance @ winning. With those two par 5's left and Vijay lurking at -2 as well, I'm sure Vijay will birdie one of them (probably 18) and post a -3 number to beat. Also, if the course gets drenched in rain this evening it'll play much easier so that adds to the Tiger dillema. However, IF Mickelson, Elkington, and Bjorn fall to -2 and those who lurk around that -2 number (Vijay, Love III, and Goosen if he does something over the last two holes) magically don't finish above the -2 threshold you could have a LOADED three hole playoff for this thing involving six or so players. Just imagine Mickelson, Elkington, Vijay, Bjorn, Love III, and Tiger going at it for the PGA Championship. It's like a ratings gold mine...except that it'll be on @ 10 AM with everyone at work. -
Yea, I loved the deep rosters from Revenge, WM, and No Mercy b/c I liked to book my own shows (especially with the pay-per-view feature in WM and No Mercy) and that helped out immensely. Will this version also have the create a pay-per-view feature and will you be able to defend ACTUAL belts (World Heavyweight, US, WWE Title, etc.) in it? Just wondering, b/c I'm a mark for those things.

Well, the surge in the price of oil isn't necessarily the blame of American motorists or other domestic factors. Instead, you see developing countries such as India and China that are beginning to become competitive in buying oil and leads to prices skyrocketing. Right now China has hundreds of millions of new cars on its roadways and that is going to cause it to come in conflict with Europe and the United States for barrels to oil to help its population. From what I've heard, the world economy could sustain a $90+ price for a barrel of oil at this point, so although oil is around $67 a barrel now we are actually UNDER the threshold of what the world economy could withstand and are seeing a discount.

I'd never buy Helms as a threat to the title under his current gimmick. After all, he's HHH's favorite whipping boy when he's trying to prove a point or makes a return.
-
Yea, I know it'd be a fantasy to go back to the five pay-per-views like they used to have and it is Bischoff's fault, but I just wanted to get that bit of frustration off my chest. I definitely see them cramming more pay-per-views into the calendar in the upcoming years. I only buy Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series, but they have some fans that will buy every show. The main problem is that they are addicted to their pay-per-view revenues now that come from twelve shows a year and if they keep adding shows it'll never stop as long as they make money (which to their defense makes good business sense).
-
Yea, the burial job they were going to do to Bret is totally uncalled for. Bret busted his ass for over a decade to help the WWE and this is how they were going to repay him? I'm just glad he got involved in the project b/c now I know it will be a DVD worth buying. While a Warrior burial DVD would be a bit humorous someone like Bret simply doesn't deserve it. Simple as that.
-
Why don't they just go back and do like 5 pay-per-views a year? Just do Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, bring back King of the Ring (or name it something else), SummerSlam, and then Survivor Series. There's no reason why they need a pay-per-view every month and I miss the old days where shows were built over the course of months rather than weeks.
-
Well, if they have more CAW slots that kinda makes up for it.

Here's why I knew Tiger was going to have problems this week: driving accuracy. Everyone in the media wanted to give Tiger this major and talked about how he'd run away from the field, but failed to see that Baltusrol is a course where you have to be accurate off the tee to avoid the tree lined territory off of the fairways. Tiger ranks below the top 100 on tour this year in driving accuracy and it's becoming painfully obvious this week that it's causing him a load of problems. I'm not surprised Mickelson is in the lead, although I'm surprised he's leading by four shots right now. However, the bigger question is can he finish with this lead? I remember him leading the 1996 PGA Championship here @ Louisville, Kentucky after 36 holes and he lost it. However, I'm kind of getting tired of TNT's coverage b/c all the commentators are stumbling over each other to kiss Tiger's BUTT. I understand the guy is a GREAT golfer, but when he started his round they were acting like he was going to shoot a 61 and get into a third round pairing with Mickelson. Give me a break! -
Well our finances would be better if we weren't shelling out tens of billions of dollars of pork in legislation for states that amounts to nothing more than political bribery to voters to get them elected. Also, since the government doesn't try to successfully audit programs such as Medicare that have MASSIVE fraud in them we experience more waste. Thus, the budget keeps getting bigger, deficits keeping growing larger, and the public TOTALLY misses the beat on how to fix the problem.
-
That's not a story and should not be covered <{POST_SNAPBACK}> EXACTLY because god forbid we cover the fact that there are Americans out there who support the war. The media just makes it seem like everyone hates it and public opinion is like 100% against or something. However, this woman does have a right to protest and while the media whip it into a storm go ahead and let them b/c by ignoring her it'll die out soon enough. After all, who remembers Richard Clarke?
-
Great job for a first effort. Just make sure you speak directly into the microphone at all times, but it's easy to forget when your doing it for nearly an hour. Also, try to make the broadcast more structured, but I know that will come with time. I enjoyed listening and hope this develops into a weekly thing!

I still think a submission match btw Bret & Backlund for the WWF Title could've been great @ WrestleMania XI instead of HBK-Diesel, but then again I guess this is why I don't have the book.

I listed a lot of scandals that will haunt her. Hillary may be known b/c of 15 years, but that could well play against her. After all, the whole "Washington insider" look killed Dick Gephardt and Bob Dole. Now, when I listed scandals above I was bashed b/c of "blindly" not looking @ the GOP. However, I'm not a Republican, but a conservative independent. I'm not a big President Bush fan (voted Nader in '04 b/c of a lack of GOOD options) and the Dems had my vote for the taking but screwed it up with Kerry. No one may be free of scandal in their lives, but Hillary's record compared to others is a bit disturbing and I've already made my case above. The difference btw the Medicare/pork bills and healthcare was that the $4 million cost was to DRAFT the bill, not it's cost after passage. Sorry, it may sound silly, but I'm a big supporter of small government and responsible finance and stuff like that drives me nuts (as does the Medicare, highway, and energy bills recently passed). Also, I don't see what's so great about Hillary not divorcing Bill. It doesn't seem like she's that strong of a woman to just stand by and allow her husband to go off on his many different flings. A strong woman would tell their hubby to beat it and carve out their own independent career. The last nail in the coffin for Hillary for me is her support of the DREAM Act which, if passed, would give FREE college tuition to illegal aliens children AND make some 54,000+ illegal students amnesty here in the U.S. I find this to be a bunch of bull sh*t b/c it shows that some politicans in this country decide that we should go out of our way to educate people who aren't citizens of this country as opposed to our own children. *Deep breath* Rant over, thank you.

Too bad Bret's HOF speech is going to be ruined b/c of all the cut scenes to HHH's "beaming" face like this past year.
-
They REALLY need to unify the tag belts since the tag divisions on both shows suck. The Heart Throbs can't even beat Viscera by themselves SO HOW am I supposed to take them challenging Rosey & Hurricane for the belts seriously? Might as well make this title brand exclusive too, but that's stating the obvious. Another bad RAW this week, but it's not like I'm going to quit watching anyway. Hogan-HBK was good, Edge promo good, and I liked how we got almost more matches than any of the last two weeks combined, but RAW is really becoming a chore to sit through. I can't count how many times I flipped over to the DOLPHINS-BEARS game on ABC in the PRE-SEASON.

HHH and Ric Flair's return date to TV announced
Danville_Wrestling replied to algrim's topic in The WWE Folder
I've finally gotten around to seeing Booker T-HHH from WrestleMania XIX and that match just gave me a million more reasons to despise HHH. The ending was a total joke and Lawler's commentary during the match is just so borderline racist it's not even funny. Anyway, I also saw Cena-HHH @ a house show in Lexington (first time they faced off evidently) and the crowd was hot from the introductions, but got silent pretty quick from the in ring action. In fact, the only time they woke up was when Cena backdropped out of a Pedigree and hit the FU. -
Here's the big question in my mind: WILL THE TAG TITLES BE DEFENDED THIS WEEK? I also hope Angle kicks the crap out of Eugene tonight and the Pittsburgh crowd is totally behind him, although he may cut a promo to make sure they boo. I also think we could see a Cena/Shelton vs. Carlito/Jericho main event, but that'd be weird to do with Shelton since he lost to Masters two weeks ago. However, he does have (corny) beef with Bischoff. Also, anyone got a "betting line" on how many matches we'll see this week? I'm betting on four, including the Eugene Invitational. God knows we need to have another extended diva segment, but that will be ending soon.
