For me it was totally rubbish, although I know a lot of people probably thought that it was the best year ever. I found it very depressing.
Because of timetable clashes, I spent a lot of time on my own, mostly in the library. I was already in University, so I didn't need to bother with any school work. When I did meet up with my friends, I looked around and realised that we were in the smallest group (4 or 5 of us) within the whole year, which upset me at the time.
Plus I developed a crush on this girl in my English class, which didn't go away until the summer (I saw her again afterwards and she had crap hair, so I was happy). I didn't go to my end of year dance because of her, but all I missed were bad jokes and teachers making fools of themselves.
The only high-point of the whole year was more or less writing the yearbook, which makes me proud, although I've never read it since it was released.
In a word: CRAP!
