Huh... Really? I haven't watched the show in years. I just catch the live shows if they happen to be withing reasonable driving distance. I didn't even know Lawler wasn't doing shows anymore. That kind of sucks.

Hah. I came across a thread a DVDR with people commenting on those names, too. Eh, maybe it was some kind of in-joke between the wrestlers to use DVDR names that night. If that's the only match you can find by that guy, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Ugh. Neither. Stick with Fire Pro. I have the Wii version of '08, and it's pretty fun to play against other people from time to time, but I can't stand single-player mode. FPR has a ton of replayability.

I'm dragging this old thread as this really doesn't warrant a thread, but Memphis Wrestling is coming back to Scotts Hill High School. Ok, so no one here cares, but it was a fun show last time. We got Lawler vs. Derrick King, plus Kevin White, Brian Christopher, and Doug Gilbert. This time we get a true superstar! Eugene will take on Derrick King in the main event. In the midcard, Too Cool (the original Christopher/Taylor version) face Doug Gilbert and someone else! Kevin White faces his trainer, Bill Dundee, for the seven hundredth time! I am a little disappointed at the lack of Lawler, though. Seeing him punch up close is always worth eight bucks. He made the last show, even though it was the day after the WWE got back from Europe and the day before the Hogan/Show match in Memphis. Also, does anyone else find it sad that I've seen Brian Christopher wrestle live more than any other wrestler? I'm still upset at myself for missing his match with Viscera at the city fair a couple of years ago.

I'm not so much on the "Oh, god, fuck the over-pushed midcarder for wanting more money. Anyone could have taken his spot and did just as well," wagon, but seriously. It's his second Wrestlemania and he wasn't really even put in a position to draw for that match. Most of that weight was on the shoulder of McMahon and Trump. Look at the current top guys. It's not like any of them got huge main event pay days their second year on the roster. I don't really feel like going back and looking, but just looking at the four world title guys for that show, none of them were even close to taking the main event spot their second time around. Taker was, what?, squashing Jake the Snake? Batista was injured for 19, and played fourth fiddle to the Orton/Foley fued at 20. Michaels was probably doing something with the Intercontinental title, and Cena was winning the US title in the opening match. Outside of Brock Lesnar, has anyone ever jumped straight to the Wrestlemania main event scene within their first two years?

Someone had a Japanese copy of the game in the Wii at the Gamestop in my local mall. I was in a rush and all there was a big line of people waiting to play, so all i got to do was look, but damn do I want this game. Seeing it in person just made it worse.

Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 is really awesome. Pretty much the same exact game as WM2000, but with licensed AJPW guys and Fire-Pro'd NJPW, legends, and indy guys. You can also unlock moves from WCW vs. NWO and WM2000. It's great.

I know it's suppossed to be a horrible story and all, but I smiled a bit at the image of V and Masters talking on the phone.

One of the main reasons I have a full beard is my complete loathing of all things shaving. My girlfriend asked me to shave it a few weeks ago and it was horrible. Generally, I just use a cheap $20 mustache and beard trimmer to keep it clean and shave some of my neck.

I'll post it here just in case anyone else is interested. What you'll need: Swap Magic 3.6 or 3.8. A compatible USB drive. (My Blackjack cellphone and my girlfriend's USB drive worked, but not mine. I'm thinking about trying it with my sister's iPod Shuffle out of curiosity.) UlaunchELF PS2 Save builder 1. Go to Fireproclub.com or wherever and download whichever game save interests you. 2. Open the save file with PS2 Save builder, highlight the three files on the left, and extract them to a folder with the same name as the first file. (For FPR-US, it should be BASLUS-21702). Copy that newly made folder, and the extracted files in it to your USB drive. 3. Extract the Ulaunchelf .zip just like you would with any other .zip file. Rename Boot.elf to SWAPMAGIC.ELF (I'm pretty sure the caps are important.) Create a new folder and name it SWAPMAGIC. Move SWAPMAGIC.ELF into that folder. Copy that new SWAPMAGIC folder to your USB drive. 4. Stick the USB drive and Swap Magic in your PS2, then turn it on. The initial Swap Magic loading screen should appear, but not the one that asks you to load a program. Instead, it should load Ulaunchelf. 5. The Ulaunchelf interface is pretty simple one you get used to it. Circle is accept and "X" is back. L1 shows different options and R1 shows different commands like copy, paste, delete, etc. Your memory card in slot one is MC0, so go in and delete your fire pro save (or back it up first if you feel the need), then go to your USB drive (MASS). Copy the entire BASLUS-21702 folder, then mcPaste it to your memory card. The mcPaste step is very important. Using regular paste will corrupt the save. 6. Turn off your PS2, and load Fire Pro. Everything should work fine.
