  1. I guess you watch absolutely nothing from Japan then. Shit, I'm not even one of those indy fanboys, but there's still plenty of good stuff going on there, too.
  2. I was there live. Pretty disappointing. I was hoping for Cena/Orton to carry the show. I loved what we got of it, though. Pissed off Cena has always been a guilty pleasure I guess. About a quarter of the audience left after Taker's entrance. I like both guys, but putting Taker and Henry on last was really stupid. They should have just put the happy ending triple threat on last instead.
  3. I like this Judas Mesias fellow. His beat down on Abyss was fun. Best Impact moment since I started semi-watching again a couple of weeks ago.
  4. Old guys beating on young guys is a wrestling tradition. As long as Flair can still take bumps and throw chops and punches he should be able to get wins believably.
  5. Misawa doesn't chop, but I think that was the point.
  6. The whole being a part of a rib thing kind of makes one assume it wasn't. No?
  7. Good thing I've got these tickets to Unforgiven!
  8. I was at that show Sandman's getting sued over. We watched him for the vast majority of his entrance after we first saw him in the crowd. I never noticed anything.
  9. Derrick King or Johnny Dotson? It has to be one of the two. King. He kept digging way too deep into his shorts to grab his "foreign object". It wasn't a comforting sight.
  10. Yeah. That's him. He was billed as a former WWE superstar and one of the guys working the show tried to tell us he was "new." He wrestled under the name Shock at the Burchill/Lawler show.
  11. I don't get to watch SmackDown but from what I've read, MVP kind of mentioned it when explaining why he wasn't at the show.
  12. I think it's been pretty much agreed that some/most/all of that is red mist.
  13. I think we have one of these topics every couple of months. Here's mine, it's whatever the latest version of Ubuntu Linux is.
  14. I think angle even stepping in a ring at this point in his career is a bad thing. The only way I'd enjoy a title unification match is if he goes in there and gets stiffed and dropped on his head until he's finally paralyzed for life.

    Vista

The search function on the Start menu is the beginning and end of all the great things Vista offers over XP.
  16. I don't know if anyone's mentioned this, but has anyone seen Tanahashi's horrible performances on Ninja Warrior/Sasuke? He's been on there twice--the last time with the IWGP title--and look clumsy and horrible the whole 10 seconds or so he lasted. I can see the first time, but why would New Japan let their current champion do something that would make him look so bad? I know it's just a game show but still... it was almost sad.
  17. I've been to three Memphis indy shows. They all had their positives. First one had a Lawler/Birchall main event and a guy in a Captain American costume who came out to "Born in the USA." My friend and I where the only one's cheering Birchall during the main so he stopped and bowed to us. That was fun. Second show was a benefit for the local high school's new football team. It had a guy doing a "mysterious magician" gimmick complete with tacky tricks like shooting sparks from his fingers, a guy who did a standing SSP, and a black guy taking on Lawler in the most racist little town in Tennessee. Fun times. I drove to Memphis the next night for Hogan/Wight. I enjoyed seeing all the "legends" especially Abdullah stabbing someone with a fork and bleeding everywhere.
  18. I would have been on this list about a year ago...
  19. The pink one looks like something I'd be comfortable wearing. Go for the purple.
  20. As a general rule I only drink at parties and then it's usually just the Smirnoff vodka or everclear my girlfriend brings. I've never had more than a couple of cans of beer in my life and didn't enjoy those.
  21. I've never been fired but I quit my first job after being demoted. I worked at Domino's Pizza for a little over six years starting when I was 14. I was getting tired of putting up with my thieving manager and a supervisor who wouldn't listen to us when we tried to tell her what was going on so I just stopped doing my job. Basic stuff, just not showing up when I didn't feel like it, coming in late, not doing anything while I was there. They eventually told me one night that I was being dropped from my assistant management position to just being inside help with a nice $1.50 an hour drop in pay, of course. I worked the rest of the night, didn't show up the next day, and handed in my stuff the day after that. Funny thing is, they did get a new supervisor and he did catch and fire the manager. After that, I got a temp job at a factory. It wasn't that bad, actually. 50 hours a week or so doing nothing but running different drill presses and mills. I got used to it and all the money and planned on working there until school started back. Of course, nothing goes right when things are good so after about two months I got a call into my supervisor's office with him telling me they had finally picked a guy who already worked in the factory for job (their plan all along; I was just hired to do the job until they chose) but since I was doing such a good job they where going to move me to another department. I got there and hated it from the first minute. Instead of working in a small area with three other people who taught me everything I need to know I was working in a huge open space with about 40 other people with a new "trainer" every day. Well, sort of, I got put with this one bitch three times in five days and after getting tired of being yelled at for going to slow or not being able to read her mind I was ready to quit. Friday comes around and we're told we have to work Saturday and Sunday. I'm sure it's not hard to guess whether or not I slept in those days.
  22. Took me a minute.
  23. I think the general reaction is something along the lines of "Oh my god, Stan Hansen punched me in the face! I'm never wiping this blood of of me ever!"
  24. It's so sad that you can't admit that he was at one time. Agreed, though, he shouldn't be a regular character on TV anymore but he was an important part of the attitude era.
  25. I'm thinking he got up on the apron, but ducked down when Cena came after him, only the camera didn't catch him until he had already ducked. Yeah. The replay showed that Orton was just trying to catch Cena's attention and not actually attack him.
