I'm feeling good now. They won't dare give the game to San Antonio on a bullshit call, so Dallas should actually be allowed to play defense here. If that's the case, they can get a stop.

This is so frustrating. Every time Duncan gets a shot up, I know he's going to the line, regardless of whether he's even touched.

FYP. Seriously, I don't think one of Van Horn's five fouls were legit. With that being said, I still think Dallas is going to get the job done here. Terry and Nowitzki just cannot be stopped on the offensive end.

Hmmm. Do I want to watch Game 7 of the best playoff series in recent memory, (Dallas/SA), the season finale of 24, or the Spirit Squad? Tough one. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Raw's not going to crack my TiVo tonight.

I am pumped up for the Mavs/Spurs game tonight. Even though they've lost a couple in a row, I really think the Mavs can do it tonight.

I read the book a few months ago and I thought it was quite good. I don't agree with every little bit of his politics, but I think the gist of his story is true, and I thought he had some really interesting insights. I'd definitely recommend the book to anyone.

OK, I've played about 15 seasons on various NCAA incarnations and I don't remember anyone with a losing record making a bowl. When they do the projections, they don't factor it in (which teams have winning records), but at the end of the year, if you have a losing record, you're out. Also, seeing all the 6-5 mid-majors get in wasn't that unrealistic as I remember a season (maybe 2004?), where only one team in all of college football had a winning record and still missed the postseason.

They didn't "choke twice" against San Antonio. They lost by one point in a well-played game where no one expected them to win in Game 5. Then, in Game 6, they lost by 5 because their starting point guard and second leading scorer wasn't allowed to play. How hard is this to figure out? If Jason Terry played that game, there was no way in hell that Dallas was losing. Honestly, their offense looked worse than it has all year, (after averaging well over 100 PPG against the Spurs in the rest of the series), and they were still a couple of late shots away from winning the game. Now, a motivated Dallas team goes back to San Antonio (where they've played very well) with a Jason Terry who will be hell-bent on making up for his mistake. I really think they're going to take Game 7.

Shouldn't Barry Bonds be on the overrated list at this point? He's been mediocre at best this season, but he still gets tons of intentional walks, and ESPN treats him like Babe Ruth in his prime with all the coverage they give him.

Wow, those were some brutal reviews. I mean, I expected it to get bad reviews, but basically everything I read said that it was one of the worst movies they'd ever see, and that even as horror fans, they couldn't find anything redeemning about it.

I certainly haven't read whatever's in the spoiler text this time, but if I remember right, there were some "spoilers" circulating for last year's season finale that weren't even close to being right. I'd guess that whatever's written there's not true, but I'm staying away just in case.

What happened to Marissa? After watching the first two seasons religiously, I just couldn't bring myself to watch this one after the first couple episodes, but I'm still kind of curious where they went with the character arc.

I don't know about the Spurs getting extra calls. If anything, I bet they'll get less since you know Stern wants the Mavs to advance. Also, Dallas played Game 6 without their second best player. I'd say that's a little more significant than Duncan and Bowen missing about five minutes each due to foul trouble.

Why is everybody counting Dallas out here? They sorely missed Terry in Game 6, their role players played terrible, and they still just barely lost. When they played in San Antonio, they lost by 2, won by 22, and lost by 1. I think they have a great chance of winning in a Game 7. If any team's a lock to advance to the conference finals, it's the Pistons, but even in that series, I wouldn't be shocked if LeBron pulled out a miracle in Game 7.

And since, I didn't mention it earlier, how about LeBron? He's looking like he could carry a team to the Finals on his back at the age of 21. I mean honestly, who's the second best player on that team? I'm not even sure I can tell you. Drew Gooden? Donyell Marshall? Larry Hughes didn't even play in the last three games and they just beat the defending Eastern Conference champs three in a row. This might be the last season for the next 12 years we see somebody win the MVP other than LeBron or D-Wade. I honestly think that LeBron's going to be so much better than Jordan that when he retires, there won't even be debate as to who the greatest basketball player of all time was.

Well, I think the refs did give San Antonio the benefit of a doubt a little bit tonight to keep an appearance of propriety, but it's only to make up for the bad calls that went Dallas's way earlier in the series. I certainly wouldn't compain about it. It was another good game tonight, and I really couldn't get too down about the loss. San Antonio was supposed to win tonight, and a one point loss with two chances to win it inside 3 seconds really isn't that bad. Game 6 is where Dallas is supposed to close out the series.

It's not hard to reach unless your pitching pulls a massive tank job. I've used three relievers in multiple weeks without issue. Just think of it like a real team. If your starters can't even make it to the 3rd inning, the best closer in the world's not going to win you a game. If it wasn't for the inning requirement, then teams could just stock up on middle relievers and closers, put nobody in the starting spots, and coast to wins in saves, holds, ERA, and WHIP every week. I think it's only fair that you should need a real pitching staff to get through the week. Also, since the cheap "stock up on relievers" theory wasn't viable before the draft, I don't think it's fair to change it now. If there's going to be any adjustment to the inning requirement, it should come this offseason at the earliest.

I initially thought it was a mistake with Yahoo that I won 12-0 last week instead of 9-1, but apparently the Kings of Crunk didn't have enough innings pitched to qualify last week. Talk about a beating. After my 3-9 start in Week 1, the Cranky Old Men have been an incredible 46-11, and I'm leading the league in home runs, wins, strikeouts, and holds. I really think I'm taking this league down this year.

Right, Dirk Nowitzki's not a consistent offensive threat. That's why he's averaged over 20 PPG the last six seasons, including 26.6 this year, and 27.6 this postseason. Not to mention that Terry, Howard, and Harris have all been consistent auxilliary threats throughout the playoffs. Saying Dallas can't beat Phoenix because they have no consistent offensive threat is just downright ridiculous.
