fantasymoguls doesn't have any tracking yet, but Tropic Thunder has been pegged as summer's late hit for a long time. TDK will probably make about 15 mil, and I think Tropic Thunder should beat that, even with the Wednesday opening

He needs to watch out for those sharks

Not really, since the draft is such a crapshoot. For a team that's been moribound since 1998, and was expected to be terrible this year, finishing .500 is something to hang your hat on.

American Teen was a really good drama, but a questionable doc

The serial pillist hates black people

That's a great number for Pineapple Express. Had it been released on Friday, it would've easily beaten TDK but it did a lot of upfront business on Wednesday. The movie was only budgeted at $27 million, so it will make a nice profit. Also, according to weekend estimates, Hell Ride barely broke the $1,000 PSA barrier. I'm seeing it tomorrow, I was hoping to say I saw two sub-$1,000 PSA movies. Yes, I'm sad

I didn't mean to start some pissing contest with snuffbox and 909. Lay off of him snuffbox, 909 is generally doing a good job in here.

His post mocking Memphis when they lost is the one time I wished death on someone at this forum and meant it
-
I would argue that yes, this is true, but they also need to hit the ball better and pitch well in order to win baseball games. Hmmmm, you raise some very interesting points.

The Orioles need to score more runs than the other team to be successful

I seperate the Will Ferrell flicks from the other Apatow flicks. He just produces the Ferrell films, while he's more creatively involved in the others. Walk Hard is one of those movies where I did not stop laughing and as Mik said, all the songs were great. I got dirty looks for laughing so hard, and it has such a great cast, brother sawing aside.

I kind of doubt that to, no offence, Noah Fentz. He has to make more than $364K on his downside. They're basically classified as freelance workers who are legally bind to WWE. They have to provide their own insurance and pay all their road expenses, except for airfare. That's messed up. Bix at prowrestlingonly said that Shane Douglas' lawyer told him it was malpractise to sign the contract. I disagree. WWE makes absurd profits every quarter, they could easily afford health insurance for the roster, and help cover expenses. In fact, the non-wrestlers get these perks. It's fucked up that the road agents get things covered, but the actual wrestlers do not.
-
No one puts a gun to their heads and says, "BE A WRESTLER OR I WILL BLOW YOUR BRAINS OUT FO YOUR FUCKING HEAD!!!" It is their choice to do what they do and not do something else. Being a wrestler is a privilege, not a right. If they don't like the contracts then they shouldn't have chosen the profession, just as a future doctor shouldn't choose to be a doctor if he's gonna piss and moan about working 100+ hours a week for peanuts as a resident. This does nothing to address my point or argument, especially since WWE contracts might as well be illegal anyway

That was the one thing I didn't like. I felt they repeated the joke too much, and it just came off as really mean spirited.
-
Well comedy is the most subjective artform. Did you see or like Walk the Line? All the songs were hilarious, with the one about midgets and the Bob Dylan song had me dying. And Tim Meadows, as usual, stole the movie.

Carlito, and Funk and Dreamer.

Frankie Kazarian's run, and don't forget Johnny Parise from 2002? There was also that woman who attacked Torrie and then her and her boyfriend quit that week

Got this from 411mania.com- Mr. Kennedy posted this update on his injury status on his website. Hi everybody! I just wanted to give you a little heads up... As Dennis Spencer speculated, at our recent house show in Georgia, I did indeed dislocate my right shoulder after taking Shelton's finisher. I basically landed with my arm stretched across my body. My body weight, his body weight, and the force that he applied in delivering the maneuver caused my shoulder to pop right out of the socket. I'm going to tell you right now, it was honestly the most painful thing that I have ever endured in my life up to this point. (Aside from watching a Great Khali promo.) I was able to get some relief in the locker room after being held down by two people while a doctor pulled, twisted, and popped it back into place. The pain immediately went from a 10 to 1, and I was so relieved that I actually started laughing. Over the course of the past few days I have had four different MRI's in four different places...absolutely AWESOME when you're extremely claustrophobic. Yesterday, I visited an orthopedic surgeon in GB who specializes in shoulder surgeries. He did a "Great Swami" routine on me by twisting and feeling around my shoulder, and then attempted to schedule a shoulder surgery that would keep me out of action for 6 months BEFORE even looking at the MRI. I was obviously a bit skeptical and decided to get a second opinion. Today, I traveled to the Andrews Institute in Pensacola, Florida to see Dr. James Andrews - a renowned orthopedic surgeon. I spent the day undergoing different tests, including an MRI, range of motion, etc. Dr. Andrews offered me great advice and a different approach towards rehabilitation. Here's the deal: I have a torn labrum, which basically is a muscle in the shoulder joint that holds everything in place. I also have some damage in the rotator cuff muscles, but it's from the accumulative effects of being in the ring for ten years. I'm going to spend the next two weeks in Pensacola doing two-a-day rehab sessions. I will also be working out the other parts of my body that aren't hurt by swimming, sprinting, cycling, leg training, and eating 6 nutritious high protein meals a day. After two weeks, Doc Andrews will assess my progress and determine if I have to have surgery or not. If not, I'll have an additional 2 to 4 weeks before I can return to the ring. If surgery is required, I'll be out for 4-6 months. Obviously, I'm hoping for the first option. Regardless of the severity of my injury, I will be working as hard as I can to return to the ring and continue to do what I love. I have the unbelievable support of my wonderful wife, family, extended family within the WWE, and my loyal fan base. I ask for your continued support! As this situation unravels I will keep you updated! Oh, Mr. Kennedy!

But don't you think a company like WWE should provide better for its employees?
-
It's okay, I'm easily annoyed. If you draw up an absurd contract and someone signs it, it can still be disputed and thrown out
-
I saw the version in theatres, never seen the DVD. I watched Walk the Line the night before I saw Walk Hard, which made everything so much funnier to me.
-
Well, duh. TDK is probably going to win again this weekend. First movie to do 4 in a row since Return of the King

While I'm sure Vince yelling in the headset can get annoying, Foley seems like a baby for complaining about such an easy job.

That's_not_how_the_law_works_though. Seriously, how do people type like that? It makes me want to punch them in the face. It's been well known for years that WWE's indepedent contractor stuff is a farce, they've just never been called on it. Again, this is a billion dollar worldwide brand that does not provide health insurance or cover expenses for its employees.
