Given that most shows are still in new episodes, and this was planned before the strike, that's not it. This is going to be a McMahon heavy show. Yay.

Legally, Palmeiro didn't lie on national television. He said he had never taken steroids period, and the failure test was after the Congressional testimony. So no, Palmeiro should not be prosecuted for perjury.

Five movies join the sub-$1,000 club. That might be a record, but I have a feeling since I didn't check this till Saturday, while I usually do on Tuesday, that more moves were added. He Was a Quiet Man, a movie starring Christian Slater, Elisha Cuthburt and William H. Macy. PSA was $810 http://www.hewasaquietman.com/media/quietm..._letterbox.html Plot from wikipedia: Bob Maconel, is a disillusioned office worker with ideas of murdering his co-workers. However, on one particular bad day, Bob crosses the line from potential killer to inadvertent hero — a fellow co-worker "goes postal" and shoots up the office before Bob does. Bob stops the shooter's plans by killing him with the gun he planned to use on the others, and in the process saves Vanessa's (Elisha Cuthbert) life. The former invisible nobody is suddenly thrown into the spotlight of public notice, he is considered a hero by those he wished to murder, promoted by a grateful boss to "VP of Creative Thinking" with all the perks of higher management, and saves the object of his desire only to have her ask him to end her life, although her life was saved, her injuries have left her confined to a wheelchair. Badland Plot Outline from imdb:An American soldier is unable to cope with the realities of daily life after he returns from his tour of duty in Iraq. Inspired by actual events. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/m...comes_up_r.html (review from Daily News) http://www.badlandfilm.com/video.php?vid=trailer (General audiences trailer) The website also has a restricted trailer! PSA was $962. Divine Intervention This movie features Gary from What I Like About You, and the dad on Fresh Prince, automatically making it awesome. PSA was $856. http://imdb.com/title/tt0870105/ (imdb page) http://www.bullzeyeprods.com/divine/trailer.htm (trailer) The Last Door It took me a while to find anything on this movie, but it stars Andy Garcia and Angela Bassett. It was originally called The Lazarus Child. It aired on HBO before. PSA was $488. Intervention Released by Alliance, a Canadian production company. It was originally known as Funny Farm. Jennifer Tilly is in it. PSA was $279.

They cut this from Nitro- - CHRIS BENOIT (w/ Woman) vs. LORD STEVEN REGAL This starts off real good, but Kevin Sullivan, Jimmy Hart and Jacquelyn run in before it can really go anywhere. Benoit is ready though, and he and Sullivan two trade blows in the center of the ring. It spills to the floor, where Jacquelyn jumps on Benoit's back. Meng comes out as well and grabs Benoit with a "nerve hold" to the neck. No one can get Meng to break the hold (Regal even tries, and gets swatted aside). Meng finally releases the hold and walks off. Benoit will face Meng in a "Death Match" at Slamboree. Once again Steven Regal was legitimately cut open-by a headbutt from Benoit I believe-and bled profusely. The last minute of the match the camera pulled way back. (from the Slobberknocker Central recaps from back in the day) That sucks, I really wanted to see that -

I love Austin's character now. He just has one goal in life, and that's to kick ass and fuck you if you get in his way. That final segment was terrific, especially Austin getting in Taker's face, only to get his ass kicked. I don't get why they did Austin v. Taker anyway, given that they're barely building up -
Meanwhile, a group of more than 300 filmmakers, most of whom are Writers Guild members, have asked the Directors Guild of America to hold off on launching its own contract talks with studios while the WGA remains in negotiations. The Directors Guild is widely seen as more sympathetic to the studios and less militant than the Writers Guild, whose negotiating position could be undermined if the AMPTP strikes a deal first with the directors. The DGA contract expires next June. A union spokeswoman said the writer-directors made their request in a letter delivered on Thursday. Signatories included such leading filmmakers as Joel and Ethan Coen, Ed Zwick, Lawrence Kasdan and Sean Penn. The DGA spokeswoman said the AMPTP had not approached the Directors Guild about starting early contract talks. (from a Reuters article) The DGA fucking over the WGA would be hilarious

Sting's contract expired, and he's debating whether he wants to go back. That's why he did the job in the tag match.
