  1. No, there is no obligation to tell you anything. Where did you get such an asinine idea from? So much for that. I still don't understand why nikjohns has such a big problem with such a simple request.
  2. cyber_mark UncleJesseMark humongous2002 Rrssh That's just off the top of my head.
  3. Crowning a Champion- Natural Born Sinners v. Carnage Crew The ironman ASE- The angle with London-Dreamer-Shane London v. Danielson Homicide/Low Ki/Williams v. The Prophecy Danielson v. AJ Corino/Low Ki v. Ohtani/Tanaka
  4. Good for Hilary. While the movie dropping from Friday to Saturday is not the best news- it still proves that she can open a movie by herself and not need the Disney marketing machine behind her. The movie did better then predicted, and with a budget of only 19 million will easily make a profit. This also shows Hilary can open a movie better then Lindsay. While Mean Girls had the better opening it was released in a less crowded marketplace, carried a more accessible PG-13 rating and had Tina Fey's name which gave it credibility to people who wouldn't normally see a teen comedy. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen which was a PG rated movie based soley on Lindsay Lohan's starpower only opened to around 9 million. A Cinderella Story was based soley on Hilary's star power and did almost 5 million better while having to contend with I Robot (which played better with females then expected), Spiderman 2 (which is still doing big business) and the Notebook (which is showing remarkable staying power). I'm very interested to see how Raise Your Voice does in October as that's a movie that's squarely resting on Hilary's ability to carry a movie.
  5. But why? I just don't understand what's the big deal about showing us what the guy did that got him banned. And what does this is your last post mean. That I should just ignore what you say? I just want to know why you refuse to show me what Choken did to get banned. At least Frigid's explanation makes sense
  6. There really was no match last night where the crowd was chanting just for chanting. The 4-way had 'Let's Go' chants for everyone in the match (the 1st one) and Dougie v. Shelley was just me yelling for Doug to kill Shelley. For the most part the crowd was very attentive, studying the matches and popping for spots. You know- like a wrestling crowd
  7. Respectfully, no. As a moderating team, we came to the conclusion that he was intolerable, and not a worthwhile member of this community, and that the place would be better without him. We do not owe explanation or justification, any that is given is out of courtesy. And yet you can't show any examples of this? I don't care either way but I don't see why after people tried to show examples of Choken being an ass and failed why you guys can't show some posts that led to his boot.
  8. Deranged Hermit pretty much got it right. It's one of those incredibly stupid and petty things that could probably be easily resolved but is getting dragged out for no reason. I was never a big fan of the SNL reruns. I don't like that they're clipped down to an hour cause I always feel like I'm missing something good. I prefer to watch the Classic SNLs that come on after SNL on Saturdays
  9. Damn Bob, not only do you know a lot about Teen Queens but a lot about Sex and the City. Either you watch it with your bitch or you just are very bored. Don't worry, I get bored all of the time. I watch a lot of TV
  10. All 4 women definetley deserved to nominated for Sex and the City and I'm glad to see Kristin Davis FINALLY get her due. Usually I would write off Kim Cattral but her breast cancer storyline was compelling TV and I'm glad to see they gave her something to do. Cynthia had the awesome first half storyline with her attempt at getting together with Steve- that made for GREAT TV. Kristin survived a miscarriage, a divorce, attempts at a baby and converting to Judaism. I'm glad the Emmy people finally woke up and took notice.
  11. Jerry voluntarily ended the show despite being offered 5 million an episode for season 10.

    Triple H

I agree with you, in my book Edge has never been over with fans and it'll be a waste of time to put him in the RAW main event scene when there're guys like Jericho or even Orton ready for the world championship level. If Edge is not in a tag team/wrestling against someone that could carry him then I truly don't give 2 shits about him. Edge has been over with the fans before- he got a huge pop Sunday when he won the title and has gotten big pops many times.
  13. Yes I did- It's the best movie I've seen of 2004 with Kill Bill and The Passion right behind. I never got a chance to see Eternal Sunshine. When I'm in Toronto I'm very far from the multiplex cinema so I never go to see any movies there so I usually just stick to my local arts cinema. Sadly Eternal Sunshine never came there until after I left. Jim Carrey is my second favourite actor behind Norm (Okay- I know Norm doesn't count) so I'll definetley pick up the DVD sight unseen in November or December. So Harry's the best movie that I've seen in 2004. Does that make you happy Choken?
  14. I didn't know that. It makes sense since I'm sure the stress of handling the biggest cash cow in Warner Bros isn't something I'd want to deal with. I think the director of HP4 is the guy who did 4 Weddings and a Funeral so he's got street cred. I really wish they could get Rowan Atkinson to be in one of the movies. That'd own
  15. And they're making a huge profit off this when you factor in all of this. Even though getting their ass kicked by Shrek does probably sting a little. It even pisses me off. I just wish for Harry Potter 4 they would've brought back Cuaron. I loved the dark and scary tone of Azbakan and even though I'd probably like it I just would be dissapointed if they went back to light and happy like the first one was.
  16. The first Harry Potter made so much money because everyone wanted to see it so it's unfair to compare the other two to that one. Prisoner of Azbakan is going to end up making about 20 million less then Chamber of Secrets which is nothing. Azbakan faced a lot more competition. Chamber of Secrets had the fading Santa Clause 2 and got to make assloads of money over the 5-day Thanksgiving weekend. That's how they were able to make most of their money. Azbakan had to deal with overrated crap like Shrek 2. I don't think anyone expected the movie to as big as it was (after I saw it I still don't get it) and it definetley hurt Potter. Day After Tomorrow also did a lot better then expected and it also hurt Harry a bit too. I think the dark tone could've scared people off a little bit. Parents who took their kids to the more safer Sorcerer's Stone or Chamber of Secrets may have been a bit scared to take their kids to see Azbakan since it was a very scary movie. I don't think Warner Brothers is losing sleep over this. They produced a great movie (Best of 2004 imo), and are still making huge profits. Harry Potter 4 should easily break 200 million. As long as they don't pull a Batman and Robin the series should be very profitable for them. I'm just worried about the potential of replacing the new kids. I love Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe and it would feel weird to see someone else stepping in their shoes.
  17. I'd say so. Fallon's career prospects seem iffy (The trailer for Taxi supposedley looks terrible). Chris Kattan and Tracy Morgan have done nothing post-SNL and Molly Shannon's sitcom completely bombed. With Mean Girls being a big hit I could see Tina having a successful career in writing. She also is developing a sitcom for NBC. But it looks like Will is going to join the ranks of very famous SNL stars. Pretty amazing considering his first week Entertainment Weekly named him most annoying castmember.
  18. J-Lo is considered A-list and she's never had one movie over 100 million. Will Ferrell was in the surprise hit comedy hit Old School. He was the sole reason Elf made so much money. And look at Anchorman- it had a huge opening. The man has proven he can open a movie and has achieved commercial and critical success.
  19. What can I say? If there's one thing I know it's Hollywood jailbait. I'm probably seeing Anchorman today. I'm not surprised it did so well and I think it will be the sleeper hit of the summer. It's amazing that some guy I grew up watching on SNL is now an A-list star
  20. A Cinderella Story is really the first true test of whether Hilary can bring them in on her own. The Lizzie McGuire movie, while starring her, was a Disney show tie-in. This is the first movie that Hilary has had to carry on her own. I watched Cadet Kelly on Saturday. Pretty decent flick even though it got a bit muddled in the middle as they had seemingly 5 subplots going on at once and since it's only an 1 hr 20 min movie they never had enough time to resolve all of them. Didn't know it was the highest rated Disney movie ever. Wouldn't surprise me since Hilary and Christy Carlson Romano are the two biggest names on that channel. Mean Girls was such a hit because unlike the other teen movies it was able to play to all demos: Aside from playing to teenage girls, adults wanted to see it because of the good reviews and Tina Fey's constant plugging of the movie and they realised it was not just your average generic teen comedy. The movie also was able to successfully play to young men which other teen comedies hadn't been able to do. A Cinderella Story should do about 40-50 total. Hilary's promoting the shit out of the thing but the movie won't have the good reviews and the crossover appeal that Mean Girls had. It will easily beat the gross of Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, but I don't think it'll touch Mean Girls. The only reason people think Lindsay is the next big thing is b/c she does a great job of drawing press onto herself. She goes out to parties all the time, has no problem showing off her best assests, and her dad keeps bringing her back into the news. Hilary is more of a private person- she doesn't go out much and thus isn't tabloid or US Weekly/In Touch fodder. Her feud with Lindsay is dead and buried and her feud with Avril doesn't seem to have much steam since Avril is just actng like a jackass and Hilary is trying to put it behind her. I think Hilary can survive turning 18. She has her singing career and can probably do teen-type movies for a long time and then she could easily make the transition to romantic comedies. I don't think she's screwed come the end of next year. But if A Cinderella Story bombs- the people at Disney will have a good hearty chuckle I'm sure.
  21. I was at Vengeance too- I thought it was a really fun show. Eugene was way over where I was- and HHH, Orton and Benoit all got big pops. My chants of 'Kick her in the stomach' and 'A-bor-tion' did not catch on
  22. lrn how too psot legicbally
  23. Uhhhhh I did. Or at least I thought I did
  24. "War">everything. God I love that song
  25. Wasn't that in Canada? I remember a fan running into the ring and King caling him a crazy Canadian or something. What I've Seen: Lance Storm's last ECW match at Hardcore Heaven 2000 Steve Corino bleeding buckets at Hardcore Heaven 2000 against Tajiri. A really great 20 minute Jericho/Hurricane match at a houseshow. And my friend was at Over the Edge 1999 when the Owen accident took place. I was suppose to be going with him, but a family emergency came up. I'm glad I missed it. A month later they had a rematch at a house show. Both took sick bumps and went balls out for a house show. They fixed all the flaws of the first match and ran interference with Benoit and Flair. Flair running in and going crazy on both guys with chops was awesome.
