Have him go over HHH at Unforgiven to set up a match against Kane at Survivor Series

Thst still doesn't justify the fact that Triple H should not have gone over tonight in the manner that he did. They were finally booking him correctly and showed that they knew what they were doing- and they dropped the ball Just like Angle and Lesnar coming out to absolute silence last night? Let's take away their main event push.
-
He lost thanks to getting nicked in the back. Woooo- what a bad ass
-
He's had more then one crowd behind him. Madison Square Garden (WWE's home arena) went crazy for him. Goldberg as champion is better then HHH winning a match with 5 other people by doing one move
-
Yep. It does Considering that Undertaker kicked out of a sledgehammer shot that hit him right in the face- why does Goldberg job to a nick on the back?
-
He wasn't awful for his complete run- but when he first came back- the man sucked. We're talking about 11.20.00 match- not the 5.31.01 ten germans match
-
I hate people like Damaramu who anytime someone disses Benoit they freak out like they're being fucked in the ass and cry: YOU DON'T LIKE HIM CAUSE HE IS POPULAR and whine that they're being flame baited. Shut the fuck Dama- Not everyone likes Benoit- you don't have to whine and threaten to report posts to a mod
-
I'm referring to after he came back from neck surgery
-
Yea no shit Sherlock. That doesn't excuse the horrible finish. I very rarely ever get emotional watching a PPV. And the ending to Summerslam made me extremely pissed off. Goldberg's invincibility is gone. Didn't they learn ANYTHING from WCW? What happens when you kill Goldberg's invincibility? You kill Goldberg. And Hall's tazer causing Goldberg to lose really turned out to be a great idea eh Trivia?

But that's because Vince was a non-wrestler and couldn't do anything. They booked the match to hide the limitations- just like they did with Austin v. HHH- since both guys were injured. Benoit was the one who interrupted Austin and wanted to show him he was the best technical wrestler. Benoit's storyline was the more important. Austin was awful until he met up with Benoit. Do the math. I don't know about Angle but I do know Benoit has been able to drag good matches out of people. You don't know that- Rikishi tried his hardest in those matches (He gigged, took chairshots etc) but given Austin and his own limitations- He's not that adept at getting a good match out of him. QUOTE Austin didn't really start having good matches until the beginning of 2001- The first guy to really get something out of him was Benoit You mean by wrestling in gimmicky matches, 8 man tags or 3 minute squashes v. Guerrero?

Shawn's matches against so-called slugs are quite overrated. Bret/Austin was better than anything Shawn ever did. I fail to see how Shawn "outworked" Bret so much. Shawn's 2 best matches --- v Mankind at Mind Games and v UT at Badd Blood, were hurt because Russo has this thing about screwjob finishes when they are not needed. BOTH of those matches were better than Hart v Austin at WM13. -=Mike Vince Russo wasn't even too involved with the booking then. You can clearly see Vince McMahon change the finish on the fly at the commentary table
-
The guy jobbed to the weakest sledgehammer shot ever. Why should anyone care about the guy now? WWE FINALLY had it with Goldberg- they finally had it- and they completely dropped the ball
-
Um, go back and REWATCH his work from 1997. Bulldog was nigh useless, with the exceptions of the Owen match, his tag match v Asutin & HBK, and his match with HBK at KOTR. Bret v UT was hardly "great" wrestling and Michaels, honestly, blows Bret out of the friggin' water. Hart went through the motions in LOTS of matches. -=Mike I have seen many of Bulldog's matches from 1997. And he faced HBK at King of the Ring 1996 NOT KOTR 1997. He also dragged a decent match out of Ken Shamrock at Summerslam 1997. I think someone who had a MOTYC in 1997, and was involved in a tag MOTY in one year can hardly be considered "useless slug." And rewatch the KOTR 96 match- HBK isn't doing all the work
-
That sledgehammer shot was so weak that I can't believe WWE had the balls to have someone job to that. Especially Goldberg.
-
what's that, the fact that your both under 5'2? Actually Alexis Laree is 5'4.
-
Taker bladed Maven at RR02. I believe Austin did Angle at Summerslam. Savage did gig Flair at Starrcade 95- He did a great job
-
Yea- It was pretty obvious- especially the way Flair was hitting him
-
All of you- shut up! I've met Alexis TWICE and we've already found out we have something in common. Thanks for trying- it just won't happen
-
Yea- She was doing so much better on the indy scene. I don't understand why you can't be happy that a young woman now has a guaranteed contract and is working for the top promotion for the world with a chance to one day wrestle in front of 20,000 people instead of the 50 she sees most nights. Don't you understand how much of an improvement this could be for her life? But no- That's not good enough for you is it? You still have to be unhappy because they won't push her to the moon and may job her to Trish. DON'T YOU FUCKING GET IT? She'll be wrestling in front of 15,000 if she gets to wrestle on RAW. She's lucky to wrestle in 500. Her pay will increase dramatically, her lifestyle will improve- this could open whole new gates of fame and fortune for her. Get over yourself and look at the bigger picture. Someone probably just had their dream come true but no- that just pisses you off. Think of someone else for a change.

Nash and HBK fight for the good of the business!

BATB 98- 1.5 Road Wild- .93 Halloween Havoc- .78 Starrcade- 1.15 Wrestlemania, the biggest show of the year, only drew a 1.6 While Backlash drew a .8 There are the numbers Mike -
Bubba has been nice at meet and greets and autograph sessions. He's a prick otherwise

There were Austin matches where he did do wrestling matches when he wanted to kick ass. The matches were booked to disguise weaknesses. No- Because both he and Triple H were both injured going into the match. That's all they could do. I believe it was Benoit wanting to prove he could kick Austin's ass and prove his status as best technical wrestler. AFTER his rustiness wore off. Didn't say that. You've been obessed over this whole carrying concept and other things. You didn't get the point. But sometimes it is a carry job It kind of does though. The wrestler is working harder, leading his opponent and CARRYING the match. Austin didn't really start having good matches until the beginning of 2001- The first guy to really get something out of him was Benoit The 11/20/00 match was great because of both men.
-
Uhhhh no. That's not what this topic is about. It's some people bitching that Shawn made it in, others bitching that Benoit made it in and the people who disagree defending them
-
Austin's matches since coming back- NHB mess v. Rikishi Steel cage v. Rikishi 2-1 handicap v. Rikishi/Angle An 8-man tag A 3 minute squash v. Eddy A brawl with HHH. His match with Benoit was his first real match since coming back from a year long neck injury. None of his previous matches had been any good or were too short to mean anything which meant either a) Austin sucked b) They were trying to hide the fact. They put him against Benoit and WHAM! Austin has a great singles match where he looks like a million bucks. Oh joy- We get to hear more of your DON'T SAY CARRY! DON'T SAY IT! Since Angle and Benoit are their real names- You didn't have to put it in quotes. Since you hate the word carry will you accept the fact that some wrestlers work a lot harder to try and get something watchable out of a wrestler who has not been known to get watchable matches.
