  1. I never bought ROH. Just some shoot interviews, and compilations of Foley, Raven and Jericho. I think I may have gotten a Double A tape from thenm also.
  2. Should I feel as dirty as I do for buying this scumbag's tapes?
  3. I predict it is bullshit. Or at least I hope it is. It is just too disturbing to think about.
  4. 3PW Saturday March 20, 2004 8PM Viking Hall (Swanson and Ritner Streets-next to Forman Mills) (866) 228-0326 [email protected] News3pw@hotmail www.3PWrestling.com In the MAIN EVENT: JOEY MATTHEWS gets his shot at RAVEN... for the 3PW CHAMPIONSHIP! Joey Matthews has always had the potential for greatness. Whether he was being selected as a developmental talent at a relatively young age... being one-half of a tag team poised to dominate ECW just before it's sudden demise...even forming his own clique of "minions" in 3PW, glory has always been just within reach, but never a priority. Matthews was always too busy stroking his own ego or insulting Philly fans to truly get serious about his own career.... that is, until November 22nd, 2003. On that night, Raven made his first appearance as 3PW Commissioner, and almost immediately ordered Matthews into a match with one of most hard-hitting athletes in wrestling today, Low-Ki. With no escape and no time to prepare, a funny thing happened... Joey Matthews held his own, and came very close to getting a win. Even in defeat, a fire was lit within Joey, as he finally realized that he had the ability to be a top player, and set out on a mission to prove himself. First, he figured out a way to defeat Low-Ki and Ruckus in a three-way dance. Next, he got a clean victory over "The Phenomonal" AJ Styles. Finally, he beat the odds to win a #1 contender's match and earn himself this upcoming title shot, despite Raven's attempts to halt his progress. Raven, meanwhile, has been having the time of his life since weaseling his way into the commissionary position here in 3PW. Using and abusing his power at will, Raven has not only used his authority to win the 3PW title, but has since turned Pro-Pain Pro into his own personal playground. He teased, taunted and tormented The Sandman for months, survived the challenge of "Pitbull" Gary Wolfe (all with the help of his appointed flunky, JACK VICTORY), and has now turned his attention to Matthews, even openly stacking the odds against him last month by adding Sabu to the Matthews/Jerry Lynn #1 contender's match. Raven is publicly taking the challenger lightly, but his actions reek of desperation, and indicate that the champion may believe that his days on top just might be numbered. This is, after all, a very different Joey Matthews that will step into the ring on March 20th. The old Matthews cowered like a frightened child in the face of Raven upon his arrival. The new one stood up to him in February, man to man. He has found a way to overcome every tremendous grappler in his path en route to challenging for the richest prize in 3PW. Raven has found a way to dispose of every challenger en route to defending it. On March 20th, 2004, will Raven finally figure out "The Future" and put an end to his ultimate dream? Or will Joey Matthews find a way to finally realize his potential....perhaps even his destiny? DIVIDED WE STAND, UNITED WE BRAWL: SABU teams up with ROADKILL to face the team of JERRY LYNN and LOW-KI! At our last event, the scheduled "Collision of the Cult Heroes" never happened, as travel difficulties prevented Roadkill from appearing to face Sabu. In response, the warped 3PW Commissioner Raven has scheduled these two volatile competitors to be in the ring together once again... as partners! Now, for the first time ever, the Amish Super heavyweight Sheep Lover and the homicidal, suicidal, genocidal maniac from Bombay must find a way to coexist, as they take on Jerry Lynn and Low-Ki, who will be making his return to 3PW after several months of international touring. Four very different, yet equally popular competitors, with no particular love for their opponents OR partners, will take to the ring on March 20th, and no matter who wins, it's a sure bet that all hell will break loose! Return Grudge Match: RUCKUS once again goes up against DAMIAN ADAMS! For over a year, Damian Adams has done everything in his power to make a name for himself in 3PW. He improved his physical conditioning: noone seemed to notice. He got new tights: fans couldn't care less. It wasn't until his huge upset victory over "Pitbull" Gary Wolfe that Adams began to finally earn some attention. In January, Adams looked to kick off 2004 with a big win over the gravity defying phenom known as Ruckus. Unfortunately, after a tremendously competitive encounter, it was Ruckus who had his hand raised in victory. Suddenly, the frustration that Adams thought he had left behind was slowly creeping their way back into his psyche. In February, during the Adams-Ruckus rematch, Adams absolutely snapped, grabbing the microphone and denouncing any desire to please anyone but himself from then on. Suddenly, the clean wrestling match everyone had anticipated had degenerated into an all-out war, with both men simultaneously falling from the top turnbuckle they were fighting on and plummeting through separate tables at ringside. Both men had to be pulled from the battlefield and taken to a nearby hospital. Now, Ruckus wants revenge, and the "new" Damian Adams wants to finally get a win over the popular foe that represents everything he USED to be. Who will win? More importantly, who will survive? INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT! DEREK WYLDE takes on MIKEY BATTS At our Second Anniversary event in February; history was made, as 3PW hosted an amazing NWA-Florida X-Division title match between Roderick Strong and Mikey Batts. Although the younger Batts failed to win the championship, he certainly turned a lot of heads with his incredible quickness and high-flying ability. Now, the cousin of Billy Kidman returns to Viking Hall to take on 3PW's OTHER young high-flying Canadian sensation, "Dangerboy" Derek Wylde. Wylde is coming off of his first big win in 3PW last month, and will look to add to his "W" column once again. On March 20th, two men will take to the air... who will soar higher than ever, and who is in for a crash landing? ROB ECKOS calls out STRIKER! Last month, "HOT STUFF"... sorry, "MACHO MAN" Matt Striker made his return to 3PW in grand fashion, rescuing the now-former slave girl TALIA from the clutches of "Sugar Daddy" Tod Gordon and Jasmine St. Clair. Now, sources say that ROB ECKOS is demanding that Striker confront him face-to-face on March 20th. Since being united under the tutelage of Joey Matthews, it's no secret that Eckos has become increasingly frustrated with Striker's lack of focus. Now, with Matthew's loosening the reigns on his former "training", will the, um, "Minion-powers" explode on March 20th? Meanwhile, "Sugar Daddy" TOD GORDON and JASMIN ST. CLAIRE may have been stripped of their sex slave AND their pride last month, but nevertheless they WILL return on March 20th with another edition of the "SUGAR SHACK". No doubt, these two have a LOT on their mind, and with a live microphone and no censors, who knows what they will say or do on the 20th? Plus... the PHILLY DEBUT of "THE AMAZING" N8 MATSON! You've heard the name. You've seen the tapes. Now, be there LIVE as N8 Matson FINALLY makes his way to the wrestling capitol of the world. Hailing from Detroit, MI, this eight year veteran has dominated the Michigan area and beyond for a good while now, especially in various junior heavyweight divisions. Competing frequently on both sides of the Canadian border, the man who trained the likes of Chris Sabin, Gabriel Brimstone and many others looks to make a name for himself all over again, this time in 3PW! ALSO ANNOUNCED: "Pitbull" Gary Wolf, The Blue Meanie, Rockin' Rebel, Jack Victory, CJ O' Doyle, Ron Zombie, Ricky Vega and more
  5. Trish will get with Christian thus proving that girls will always go for the guy that beats them.
  6. I've seen Kruel at 3PW. He knows how to work, definitely.
  7. Sue for $50 million and get the teacher fired.
  8. Next Wednesday on FOX: Celebrity-Rock, Paper, Scissors..........Who will triumph in this battle of wits?
  9. I would've hit that shit.
  10. I've eaten magic carpet...........
  11. You can't call him "Shane" Helms. The unintelligent "wrasslin" fans would get completely confused if there was more then one WWE Superstar with the first name of Shane.
  12. Assholes. I would never be a fan of a band or frontman who supported such a ridiculous rule, or who jumped off stage and started a riot when he saw a camera............
  13. Isn't there any video of this available for download? Sounds like a classic.
  14. Jim Morrison had it down to a sweet science.
  15. Death Row in the early til mid 90s: Dre, Snoop, 2Pac, Dogg Pound
  16. Sitting Indian style makes your penis appear smaller then it actually is.
  17. Yeah Matthews did win me over last night. I'll be rooting for him to take the belt next month.
  18. 3PW returned to the ECW Arena last night for its Second Anniversary show before a late-arriving crowd of around 400. Derek Wylde defeated Rob Eckos in 6:47 with a reverse powerbomb. Joey Matthews came out and cut a promo to set up the night's main event (switched around after Roadkill missed the show with the flu and his scheduled match with Sabu) about how "he is the most underrated and underutilized talent not under contract in North America today" (well, he IS working for Ohio Valley Wrestling...but is technically not under a developmental contract). He promised to beat Jerry Lynn and earn a shot at 3PW Champion Raven. Raven, as 3PW "commissioner", said he'd make the Matthews-Lynn match a three way adding Sabu. The program for Matthews has been set up beautifully as the promotion has had him put over in consecutive months by Low Ki and AJ Styles...and as you'll see at the end...is continuing the process. Slyk Wagner Brown (with April Hunter) defeated "Shooter" Mike Kruel with a Razor's Edge into a facefirst powerbomb. In the match of the night, NWA Florida brought in a match for its vacant X Division title as Roderick Strong (with Ron Niemi) defeated Mikey Batts to win the vacant NWA Florida X-Division Title in 8 minutes. These two went full bore for 8 minutes and won over the crowd with their match. Striker did another of his hilarious 80's gimmick impressions, coming out to Pomp and Circumstance as "Macho Man" Striker, doing a killer hilarious impression of Randy Savage, cutting a promo in classic Savage style (including stopping to say "Click here to buy my CD" ala the ad on 1wrestling.com)...and saying "Dig it" after every sentence, as well as throwing out Slim Jims to the crowd Ruckus and Damian Adams ended in a double countout after ten minutes of action. The finish was a spot with two tables set up at ringside, both fighting on top of the turnbuckle, then falling backwards to the floor, each crashing through a table and were counted out. Rockin' Rebel and Jack Victory defeated The Blue Meanie and CJ O'Doyle. The finish saw O'Doyle miss a clothesline and hit Meanie, followed by Jack Victory pinning Meaniem while Rebel knocked O'Doyle out of the ring. "Macho Man" Striker (with Miss Talia) defeated Monsta Mack with a top rope elbow. This was hilarious with Striker beign dead on with every conceivable classic Savage spot. Along with a decent match...Striker had people laughing so hard their sides hurt with these Savage spots. 3PW Champion Raven defeated Pitbull Gary Wolfe in a dog collar chain match to retain his title. This wound up your basic ECW all-Arena brawl. The finish saw Jack Victory spear Wolfe through a table that was set up in a corner (to crowd chants of "Gore, Gore, Gore"), with Raven then getting the pinfall. In an excellent match, Joey Matthews defeated Sabu and Jerry Lynn in a three way match in 16:11. As I said before, Matthews has gotten a well-done three month long push ...which took its next step with Matthews taking Lynn's cradle piledriver and Sabu's Triple Jump Moonsault and kicking out. The match was overall as good as you'd expect with all three men bringing their "A game" last night. The finish saw Sabu legdrop Lynn face first through a table, immediately followed by Matthews doing a "smashmouth" chair throw at Sabu's head, then covering Lynn for the win. Post-match, Raven came to the ring and said he wanted to shake Matthews hand, but predictably DDT'd him instead. 3PW returns on March 20 with Raven-Joey Matthews the only match announced.
  19. I'll be there, but I strongly disagree with the pushing of Matthews.
  20. Costanza's back? CELEBRATION TIME!
  21. LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- It may surprise some to realize that Guns N' Roses released only four full-length original albums, and two of those debuted simultaneously. But they were enough to forever change rock 'n' roll. Even more shocking is that one of the great bands in rock history, with its last studio album issued 10 years ago, has never had a "best of" compilation. Now it has. Welcome to the jungle with GREATEST HITS (Geffen), released March 23, 2004. With 14 selections housed in a digipak, GREATEST HITS features all eight of the band's Top 40 Billboard Hot 100 tracks (five of them RIAA-certified "gold," i.e., sales of more than 500,000 units). Along with spanning the group's five album releases, GREATEST HITS also marks the debut on a Guns N' Roses album of the band's cover of the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy For The Devil" for the 1995 film INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE. The first full-length album from GN'R, 1987's APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION, is one of the most popular hard rock albums in history. As of February 21, 2004, the album has been on the Billboard Top 200 Albums or Top Pop Catalog chart for a total of 545 weeks. Selling more than 20 million copies worldwide -- 15 times platinum in the U.S. -- it charted #1 for five weeks. The album included three Top 10s: the gold #1 single "Sweet Child O' Mine," the anthem "Welcome To The Jungle" (#7) and the frenzied rocker "Paradise City" (#5). 1988's G N'R LIES, comprised of songs from the group's independently-released 1986 EP LIVE?!*@LIKE A SUICIDE plus new studio recordings, followed APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION up the charts. Zooming to #2, the Grammy-nominated album (for Hard Rock Performance) was five times platinum (each platinum level connotes sales of more than one million units) and claimed the gold #4-charting ballad "Patience." Then, on September 17, 1991, with one of the most anticipated releases ever in music, both USE YOUR ILLUSION I and USE YOUR ILLUSION II debuted. I featured two gold singles with "November Rain" (#3) and "Don't Cry" (#10) plus another Top 40 with "Live And Let Die" (#33). II boasted another gold hit with the previously-released single "You Could Be Mine" (#29), heard in the film TERMINATOR II: JUDGEMENT DAY. Each of the USE YOUR ILLUSION albums went seven times platinum. I reached #2 and II reached #1. II was Grammy nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance as was the Wings cover "Live And Let Die." GREATEST HITS also culls from II "Yesterdays," "Civil War" and GN'R's take on Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door." A collection of Guns N' Roses covers of classic, mainly punk, songs that had influenced the bandmembers since their early days, 1993's "THE SPAGHETTI INCIDENT?" hit #4 and platinum. Included on GREATEST HITS are its renditions of The Dead Boys' 1978 track "Ain't It Fun" and an unlikely cover of The Skyliners' '50s doo-wop gem "Since I Don't Have You.
  22. Eh, either way it's only about three months until Axl and Co. return (again) at Rock In Rio. I might just take a sabbatical from reading about any of this shit until then.
  23. That can't be true. Not when over ten million has been spent on this album, some of it money that was fronted to him and was expected to be recouped after the album comes out. If he doesn't release it, he will end up in the gutter. I really do hope it is the greatest album ever released, just because of my unrelenting support of the man. But somehow, I doubt it.
  24. He's got a right to be pissed. The "Live Era" CDs should have served as a greatest hits, and the tracklisting for this one is fucking awful. "Sympathy For The Devil" and "Since I Don't Have You".........not only are they both cover songs, but they both suck.
