I get Amazing Spider-Man or Spider-Girl or Fantastic Four if I have a couple bucks lying around. Otherwise, fuck Marvel. $4.25 CDN for a comic, most of which is reaction shots? That's a negatory, good buddy. I am buying shit-tons of the Essential books though.

"3) Fuck em. Never again will they get my cash." They knew well and good when the deadline for a CBA was (Sep. 15th 2004 or so, I think) and didn't even begin negotiating until the day before. All this petty bullshit led to the NHL not handing out the Stanley Cup in 2005. There were points where they didn't negotiate for weeks and I believe, once for an entire month. Fuck em all, I am done with them for good. On an aside, hockey wasn't gone, the NHL was. I had tons of fun watching the Calgary Hitmen, the World Juniors, going to the Viking tournament in Camrose, and watching local teams. There was even some good hockey from Europe on TV once in a while. Hockey isn't back, it never left. The NHL left.

I saw Fantastic Four earlier today and to tell the truth, I liked it a lot. I'm a big fan of their comic and I consider it the best that Marvel puts out, and this movie was surprisingly good. I was not looking forward to it, really. The previews were lame, I'm kind of burned out on comic movies, and there are so many ways to screw this up. But they did it right. What I Liked: -Johny Storm enjoying his powers. He's a daredevil space pilot already, and now he gets the ability to light himself on fire and fly? Of course he loves it and has fun with it. He stole every scene he was in. -Reed Richards. The actor (don't know his name) played this spot on to what they needed. Smart, business-like, older than the others with the GREY HAIR, and one of my favorite powers. The scene where he fights Thing is just great, and his continuous attempts to tie Thing up and how it works is really cool. -The Thing. DEAD ON. Trenchcoat and everything. This was what I was most worried about, I thought the suit would look lame but I was completely and totally wrong. It worked way better than CGI would and it looked great. I loved everything he did in this movie. "It's CLOBBERIN' TIME!" -The overall atmosphere of the film was perfect. The Fantastic Four are serious a lot of the time, yes, but they also have a lot of fun and get that they have really cool powers. They are good people doing the best they have. They don't mope and sulk like Batman or the X-Men or even Spider-Man. That's not the point of the Fantastic Four. And this movie got that. As for what I didn't like, Doom was a little weak and the ending battle was too short. Everything else was great. On a side note, fuck Roger Ebert. His review was terrible. He did not get this movie at all, and there really isn't much to get. He writes that the movie is bad because Johny Storm doesn't talk endlessly about being able to go supernova. No, but he does talk about FLYING and the rest of his powers. Ebert writes that because Sue Storm doesn't try to contain the sun with her force fields and instead when trying to sneak past the cops to find Ben is worried about going naked, it is a bad movie. He then explains that The Thing looks like the Hulk, Johny Storm looks like the Flash, and Sue Storm rips off her powers from Storm. BACK UP. What? The Thing looks like the Hulk? Since when? The Thing is orange and relatively short and rock like. The Hulk is huge ass tall and green. They do not look alike. They have similar powers. Then again, many heroes are *gasp* super strong. The Human Torch looks like the Flash? What. The. Fuck. Again: they do not look alike at all. And finally, Storm's power is to control the weather. Sue Storm's power is to turn invisible and create force fields. Yes, the same power. Ebert doesn't get it. He wants a movie that features brooding, examining things not related to the plots or characters at all, and depth where there should be none. He's wrong. Flat out. I can understand people not liking this movie. But when you don't like it because Johny Storm is too busy learning to fly and hitting on chicks to scientifically study how he compares to the sun, it's obvious you don't get a movie that has nothing to really get. And the movies business will be hampered by people reading his review, looking at his dumbass star rating, and saying they don't want to see it. Fuck Roger Ebert. Good movie though.

The only people in the world who are bigger losers than Lawler (who is a huge fucking lameass, as seen by this segment) are the girls themselves. This isn't bad or dumb or unfunny or anything. It's retarded.

As someone who was mainly introduced to UFC through Ultimate Fighter and UFC 52, both of which I loved, I'm not sure whether or not to order this show. Should I?

Man...damn. Godfuckingdamn. There was SO MUCH GOOD here...and so much fucking bad. Answers, dammit, answers, I want answers - what is in the hatch, who are the Others, what is the monster, SOMETHING, ANYTHING...nothing, we get nothing. Fuck. I spent a whole season involved in this show, just to get fucked over because they want to do eleventy-billion cliffhangers. Give us SOMETHING. That aside...I fucking loved this. Sawyer's infuckingtense staredown with the guys on the ship had me ready to explode, and then when they took Walt I swear to god I almost cried. I teared up. Fuck. Micheal screaming "WAAAALT" in the water gave me chills. There was so goddamned much going on here that I'm having trouble remembering it all. But Locke and Jack's scenes...damn. All straight gold. "You like to play games, Locke?" "*big smile*". Crazy. And Hurley screaming not to light the dynamite because he saw the numbers was even crazier. The Sayid and Charlie chasing after Danielle parts were also great. I didn't remember the plane having the drugs right away, so when I realized it I was like "oh fuck" and Charlie...damn. The look on his face when he realized he fucked up and left Claire with Danielle alone was fucking tragic. I'm tempted to say best acting of the episode came from him, but really everyone was spot on. I will say this: the ending scene on the plane, where we FINALLY got the full score played, was fucking heartbreaking. Seeing everybody get on the plane, knowing what was going to happen to them, it was incredibly sad. The score was, for the record, one of my favorite pieces of music ever. So all in all, kick ass episode that I loved. But fuck...give us some answers. We've been waiting forever. Just give us some answers.

3 rematches from Judgment Day? I'm glad I ordered it, but really...why should I have when I get free rematches four days later. That's fucking retarded.
-
Half the TV's watching RAW probably changed the channel as soon as his music hit. I know mine did. HHH back to control the world? Fuck that shit.

He just fucked Coach up the ass. What. The. Fuck.

I actually really enjoyed last nights PPV. MNM vs Holly/Haas was surprisingly decent. Haas' plancha was CRAZY and I did not see it coming at all. Aside from that, they wrestled a perfectly fine match with a clean finish. Good opener. 1 for 1. Carlito vs Big Show was what you would expect it to be. Obviously not good on a whole, very short, and slow paced. But this got the obligatory ref bump of the night out of the way early in the show and had a neat finish. F-5, bitch. 2 for 2. Chavo Guerrero vs Paul London wasn't as great as it had the potential to be, but it was far from terrible. London went down hard on that suicide flip to the outside, but I noticed that Chavo started selling the shoulder after that instead of the whole body, so really no harm no foul. Chavo hit a beautiful suicide tope afterwards, which was good. Surprisingly, neither man's dive was as good as Charlie Freaking Haas'. Crazy. Anyway, another clean finish and a solid match with some high spots. 3 for 3. Kurt Angle vs Booker T was pretty lame. The finish seemed like at least one of the three (including ref) fucked up. Honestly, that is all I remember about the match. It was pretty pedestrian. Sharmell is a bitch who can't act, for the record. 3 for 4. Orlando Jordan vs Heidenreich was weak, but really that was to be expected. Heidenreich's poem and friend stuff is surprisingly funny. Orlando Jordan is still a vanilla guy. He just doesn't do anything. Weak finish as well. It was short though. 3 for 5. Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Misterio was good. There was something amiss, though. The story seemed to require a lot more hate on the part of Guerrero - instead, he spent the whole match with a blank stare. Still, some neat spots, especially the 619 on the outside over the ring post and the Liontamer into the STF. If this match had a lot more hate from Guerrero, I would have liked it more. It was a good match, though. 4 for 6. John Cena vs JBL was match of the night. It was a crazy ass brawl. Cena bled a fucking gusher, and JBL's blood was up there as well. I loved how JBL had a game plan, that being to choke out Cena as he tried it to my count 4 times. I thought the ending was weak, as it came out of nowhere and as a smoke stack wasn't even the most dangerous weapon in the match. Maybe if they had had Cena beat on JBL with the door for a bit before picking up the smoke stack and THEN JBL quit, that ending would have worked better. Everything else was gold, especially when each guy would speak into the mic. 5 for 7. Akio vs Nunzio on Heat was also really fun for a quick match, so 5.5 for 7 is my total count. Thumbs up for the PPV as a whole. Yeah, it could have been better, but it was (as usual with anything from Smackdown) worlds better than anything the incredibly overrated Raw has done in a long while.

Somehow, I really doubt you would do that.

The rest of the list is decent to good. But THIS...no. Just plain wrong.

Admin, I donated $10 but it'll take a few days to clear because I'm from Canada and non-verified. I hate that. The End.

I'm ordering this and despite the poor build-up for most of the card, I cannot wait for Rey vs Eddy and Cena vs JBL. Eddy's bad ass turn on Rey made me want this PPV. I wish the writers would try for the undercard, but I'm ordering this anyways solely for the aforementioned matches.

Despite the fact I am thinking this movie will be a huge letdown, I'm going to hope it will live up to the hype and reviews and I am heading to a midnight showing tomorrow with some friends. PLEASE be good.

He was head booker in 2000. This came out of nowhere and it sucks. RIP Kreski.

I liked the episode last night. Locke is collapsing, and I think next week will be where the shit completely hits the fan. At least, I hope it will be. That was my main problem with last night. Off of a month long break and into the final stretch run, and they hit a single when they could have hit a home run. I'll like this episode much more on DVD, but last night was not the episode they needed coming off of a long break.

Fucking awesome show tonight. Smackdown is great. Eddie's turn and beatdown on Rey was so well done, completed with lucha-esque shots of the audience in quiet shock. They have sold me on Judgment Day.

You may not like Family Guy Tawren, but you probably still agree that Family Guy was meant to be crazy and over the top, and the Simpsons wasn't, at least not to the same extreme. That might account for the poor performance of the Simpsons past several seasons, it's a show that doesn't play to its strengths anymore and that's why it's been on a downward spiral lately. I do completely agree with this. I hate Family Guy for what it is, but at least it is what it is. The Simpsons aren't Family Guy, and trying to be Family Guy isn't working for them. They need to realize that.

Homer Goes to College and Homer At The Bat are my favorite episodes. I can barely stand any new Simpsons episodes - Homer screaming and wailing and going to other countries and being a shitty Family Guy rip off when Family Guy isn't even any good, I just don't find those things funny.
