And there went the last ray of hope. So it's like paying to see a movie that looks like I'm watching on TBS. Wonderful. Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea? It's like someone who has never heard of the Die Hard series is in charge of what happens to the film. I can't wait to run out and get my John McClane action figure with the special jet playset. Hopefully he comes with a kicking action instead of a weak punching one.

Maybe Jericho was really Willy!

Boyfriend of missing pregnant woman held for murder
2GOLD replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in Current Events
Plus this story has been getting national coverage. I want to hear all the evidence before I pass judgment on his guilt or innocence and any kind of sentence he should receive. -
The Cubs won 2-1 on a squeeze play. The Cubs executed a squeeze play and nothing crazy happened. It actually went well and it ended being the game winner. We must have entered another dimension because they usually are completely unable to perform this.

I'm fine if Jarrett gets like one win in honor of his wife. I don't have a problem with those types of situations, those are nice and I've never had issues when anyone gets the condolence win. I have a problem if it stretches out over months (like Rey Jr) instead of just being a one shot deal. Jarrett should have one match when he's ready dedicated to the memory of his wife and have no belt on the line. The trouble is, it all does feel like it's building to him winning the belt at this show because frankly, Team 3D doesn't scream TNA MAIN EVENT. Something tells me Jarrett and someone else win the tag titles and then he wins the world title at the PPV. That would anger me since then his wife's death becomes an angle AND it gives him three belts he has to lose. I think Jarrett vs AJ or a rematch of Jarrett vs Roode would be a nice tribute style match. Jeff can always do something in the ring in his honor, the announcers just need to stay quiet about it. It's a fine line to walk down. Right now I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt because he didn't add himself to KOTM, when he easily could have since it was his match. But he didn't and then they replayed the video on IMPACT, which again I'm fine with since those interested in where Jeff is get an explanation. At the moment, I don't see it being used to get him more over as a face. But that could change very rapidly.

CNBC Thinks That WWE Could Potentially Be Sued By Stockholders
2GOLD replied to Oldschool's topic in The WWE Folder
So they basically could be in trouble because they didn't send a separate release to all their stockholders that Vince was really alive and well? I think the company needs to realize they cannot hide behind the "we're entertainment" curtain when they make themselves a publicly trading company. They opened themselves up to new windows of greedy people who will want a cut of the pie if they get "swindled". Odds are the drop was from people who didn't like the angle and became offended by it. I doubt it was from a group of people who really believed Vince was dead. But people see a chance to make a buck and can claim that the failure to alert them cost them money if the stock price begins to rise above where it was. Right now though, it's down so they made a profit from jumping ship. The only way I can see them getting hurt by this is if they run into a judge who plays it by the letter of the law and the WWE did not alert their stockholders about the truth of the situation. I cannot see them running into this problem though. -
So the Cubs get rid of Dusty Baker and now my AL favorite, the Orioles, are interested in him to be the next manager. It seems that whatever scraps the Cubs throw off the table, the O's are there to snatch up and have a taste. I cannot escape Dusty.

Den-ver, The Last Di-no-saur! Rarely watched that one, but I still remember some of the theme song. The kid-themed game shows were always fun. The ones Darthtiki mentioned along with GUTS, Legends of the Hidden Temple and Nick Arcade (featuring games from the cutting-edge Neo Geo system). Funny you should mention Legends of the Hidden Temple since Nick started showing the repeats of it early in the morning around 7am I think during the week. I caught it one morning and it made me realize just how difficult it was to win some really crappy prizes.

I thought Orton already won the WWE championship?

If only you had said skelping, then it would have been perfect.

There is one I watched all the time and have all the toys in our attic but I cannot for the LIFE of me remember what it was called. I remember the villians drove around in black vehicles with like green mossish slime on them. The leader villian had a huge buzzsaw on top and tank treads. The main hero leader had like a grabber on top that was gold colored and the vehicle was white. ETA: ! FINALLY!

Her love life is a little messed up though, cause rich or not, could you get into bed with a girl who has no feet? My feet are priceless, I like walking around and kicking things. I dislike soccer but I like playing it sometimes, hard to do without feet. Sure her and her family get rich, but that is a massive cost to pay.

Reminds me a little of the Robo-Cop suit. Which isn't too bad. I can live with it as long as it looks cool in the action scenes. And I thought Nick Fury was a white guy? That's a little bit strange but I can deal with it.

TNA Impact Spoilers for the next two weeks 6/22/07
2GOLD replied to slimm44's topic in TNA Wrestling
There is no POINT for this! NONE! God dammit, now this booking is frustrating the hell out of me. Lethal FINALLY wins the X title and they toss it onto Joe for no reason other than to give Joe a way into the main event that'll end with new tag champions. So for some reason or another, SOMEONE is leaving with two titles when they don't need them. They have a perfectly capable X-division and Tag division and they pull this. My brain hurts now. -
Their complete misuse of The Truth has always been something that puzzled and pissed me off. This is a guy who could talk, had speed, could bump, could do cool spots, could work both face AND heel, and he has been almost NON-EXISTENT in TNA since getting on Spike other than his stupid movie parodies and rap video. I thought he had amazing potential to be HUGE in this industry and again another company failed to capitalize. For quite a while, he WAS being used correctly and then something went incredibly wrong. I'm disappointed because the WWE failed to use him right the first time and nothing makes me think they could use him right now. Konnan was aggrivated with the complete lack of direction for LAX (again, what the HELL) but he made it clear the problem wasn't with Russo at all. So apparently someone ELSE is a moron on the TNA booking team since none of the guys seem to be blaming Russo for anything. Konnan has AAA though so I'll still get to see him although I have no idea what the hell he's saying since I don't speak spanish but no matter.

So we'll either get "Yippee-ki-yay mother father" or "You got served". Suddenly my slight interest in this movie is dwindling down to nothing. Plus apparently, his opponent is the world's biggest coward who looks like he wants to go cower in a corner. Why couldn't there be another Gruber?

Probably a lot of dialogue about how they are going to wipe us all from the planet. That we don't know what we are up against and so on. I'd imagine the Transformers on the good side will be chatty, what with the working with the humans and explains exactly what they are up against. Plus if I remember right, wasn't Jazz supposed to be the cool talking one or something?
-
You just sold me. Apparently he announced the news on his myspace. I don't know what is weirder, the voice of Eddie Winslow as a Transformer or he told everyone on his myspace.

Anthony Michael Hall as The Riddler? I can totally see that. He's not as good as I felt Crispin Glover would be but I trust Nolan and I really love the work of Hall on "The Dead Zone". I can see him with a guy with a deep dark intelligence who is interested in battling his foe with a test of wits.

Which would mean weeks of Steph and Shane and that chairman guy wasting time on the screen for this boring angle. Screw the moral crap, this angle is just going to end up being completely pointless. And no, I'm not watching next week. I'm done with them until this angle is over. It's a waste of time and I can better spend it watching The Closer or something. I enjoy the wrestlers but this thing is going to just control the promotion until it's over.

The only match they made too short that should have went longer was Daniels vs Sting, but I guess they figure since the feud is going to stretch out over time they would do it this way. I don't agree with it at all because it made the Fallen Angel look weak as hell. The Lethal/Sabin match was very good, 3D vs Rick/Animal was mercifully short, disappointed how quickly Damaja/Basham got defeated for the boring Hoyt turn, and I'm guessing the LAX vs Rhino/Senshi thing isn't over either. KOTM was very good, Tomko/Abyss was a nice garbage brawl, and I really liked the X title match. The matches I knew I wouldn't care about were kept short and the only thing that pissed me off as I said was Sting/Daniels. Overall, I was pleased.

They are going to have a lot of fun in prison, the sick freaks. When the prisoners are done with them, they will wish they had been shot instead of arrested.

I was always under the impression that the south park guys did do it, and that they couldn't have been that angry at him considering Stone volunteered to give an interview in the movie. Apparently he asked Stone to do the cartoon after the interview and Stone had no interest in doing it. Another one of Moore's nice little tricks, he interviews someone and then afterwards tries to work his own special little agenda in. Though I no longer feel for anyone actually accepting an interview with Michael Moore. You know going in that he'll do everything in his power to make you look like shit even if you haven't done anything wrong.

Pac Man should get his own version of the Entourage series. It sounds like it would be a hoot.

Is Hannibal Lecter in this or something? What is this bullshit?
