I'm 100% for freedom of religion and freedom to not practice religion, but by now it just seems like there are a lot of curmudgeons out there would just want to ruin other people's fun. Does it really hurt anyone to have a Christmas tree in public or to sing carols or to light menorahs in public. This country has gotten way off track in what battles it chooses to fight IMO.

I thought it was great when Destiny's Child was booed during the NBA finals in Philly. The one idiot wore a Lakers jersey and was surprised at the reaction. Oh, and you're statement would be better if you put WHEN the Eagles make it, not if.

What era of Descendents is that from? I somehow missed it back in the day.

Yeah, but that was different from a WWE game b/c it featured rappers fighting. This will be a wrestling game similar to the WWE ones, except it will feature mainly people who the general public does not know. I personally can't see it being successful.

I don't really think that there would be enough of a customer base for this to succeed. If people don't know the product do you really think that they would buy a video game of it?

You know this is actually a really good question that I consider to be particularly relevant for myself since I usually am fiscally conservative and socially liberal. At this point, I consider foreign policy to be the most important. There is too much going on with wars right now and other potential threats that I feel this has to be paramount. Second would be social policy, mainly because I think that the economy isn't impacted by policy changes as much as most people believe. Personal freedoms are very important to me and I would not want an elected official to try and take them away.

Registered Democratic because I generally think that there are larger differences between Democratic canidates for primaries. I would however say that I am fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I vote for whomever I think will do the best job and represent my interests the most.

Rolling Stones Top Ten Movies of 2003.
C Dubya 04 replied to BlackFlagg's topic in Television & Film
I thought that Kill Bill was the most overrated movie of the year. I thought that it was violent for the sake of violence and not for the sake of making a good movie. And, maybe I missed all of the dialogue while taking a piss break, but I'm going to say there was none. Lost in Translation was my personal favorite movie of the year, but I didn't get out to that many. -
To preface this, I am definitely not a Dean supporter. I think that he flip flops on a lot of issues, and that is a dangerous characteristic to have in a President. That being said, I think it's quite a stretch to make the leap and say that Dean is saying "Bush knew ahead of time". Dean's point is that any theory can be put in place, and it is impossible to prove or disprove without all of the evidence. And Bush clearly did not disclose significant portions of the evidence to the public. No sane person could possibly believe that Bush knew the attacks were going to happen and allowed it.

I wonder if she's sorry, for leaving what we've begun. There's someone for me somewhere, and I still miss someone. The Man in Black, later kind of paraphrased by Dylan.

The playoffs are heating up in 1AA land, and yes, we do have a playoff system to decide our national champion. Last weekend was the first round, and there were upsets galore, including the shocking Northern Arizona defeat of the number 1 seeded McNeese St. Also, the Fighting Blue Hens of Delaware thumped previously 10-1 Southern Illinois 48 to 7. Here are this weeks games, home team in caps. FLORIDA ATLANTIC vs. Northern Arizona COLGATE vs. Western Illinois WOFFORD vs Western Kentucky UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE vs. Northern Iowa Discuss.

I was just wondering if Ali would be returning or not. They seem to have stopped showing the old episodes too. Some of his bits were the funniest tv of this past year without much doubt. What about Curb Your Enthusiam? Will Larry be returning soon?

Johnny Cash's cover of "In My Life" was great. But my favorite is Gov't Mule's cover of "She said, she said". Just a wonderful version of the song.

Youngstown State failed to qualify this year. They ended the season with a 5-7 record.

I've watched that, like, a dozen times. Not sure why... Is that the "Set it, and forget it" one? Cause I've definitely sat through that on multiple occasions. I think that he is strangely hypnotic.

I'm not a fan of "reality tv", but I am really looking forward to this one. Both girls seem so clueless that I don't see how the show can miss. That show with Jessica Simpson cracks me up, and I heard that Paris makes her look like a Rhodes Scholar.

John Kerry makes mighty stupid move
C Dubya 04 replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Taking this thread a little back on track, I'm going to agree that Kerry should have been there to vote. I know it's idealistic, but I think that senators should do there job even if they happen to be campaigning for another position. On the side, has Kerry done anything right to date in this election. At the beginning I thought the nomination was his to lose, and I guess he's done a pretty good job of losing it. -
Springsteen's version of "Jersey Girl" has got to be near the top of my list. Also, Gov't Mule's "Painted Silver Light" is a different style love song. Losing My Religion by REM is also a love song that I like.

For those who didn't know, the 1AA seedings for the playoffs came out. McNeese St. is the #1 seed, while my University of Delaware Fighting Blue Hens are the #2 seed. The higher seeded team has homefield until the finals which is in Chattanooga TN. Colgate, the only undefeated team is the 4 seed. And for those of you who doubt the merit of 1AA football, this year Delaware beat Navy, who beat Air Force, who beat UNLV, who beat Wisconsin, who beat Ohio State, so there.

Iggles will overtake the Cowboys, IMO. And I agree about the Packers. Minnesota is going to fade fast.

big big fan of 1812. If you can find a good recording with the cannons going off at the end, it'll blow your mind. Also, Beethoven's Ninth is a personal favorite of mine.
-
He'll be paid for the rest of the year, but won't be associated with the team. This is a head-scratcher for me. I would imagine this would hurt his trade value in the offseason, seeing how it doesn't look good for him personality wise. Isn't he under contract for another 2 or 3 years?

I guess Ohio State jumped to #2 cause Purdue is a quality win. What happens if USC, OSU & LSU all win out? Who do you think gets the nod, and who do you think deserves it? I think that OSU goes to the Sugar if they win out, but I also think that USC is the 2nd best team in the country. Whoever plays OU is going to get slaughtered though. By the way, this board apparantly needs a 1AA guy, for which I volunteer. The University of Delaware Fighting Blue Hens took down #3 UMass in a thrilling triple overtime game this weekend, for those of you concerned.

For some reason, it always seems like sports movies are the ones that get to me. Hoosiers, Field of Dreams and Brian's Song all mist my eyes. Hell, even the end of Rudi gives me goosebumps.
