I hope Vince keeps the product out of Toronto for a LONG time. Or gives them house shows and lets all the talent do 15-minute rest holds to get revenge on the stupid fucks in attendance. I agree with this thread.
-
The show came off as awful due to the embarassing Toronto "fans" who ruined the TV audience's enjoyment. THUS, because of Toronto, casual fans will not soon order another show, especially a "big show" such as SSlam, since they feel they wasted $35 on something that sucked.
-
Bad for business TORONTO *Is*. Those casual fans/marks watching SummerSlam are now not wanting to order future shows, since the matches came off as silent, boring, and the people they thought were the "faces" (Eugene, Kidman, London, Rey, Taker, Eddie, etc.) were treated with no response or were boo'd.) The smart watching are now even more apathetic towards the product, given tonight was a pretty good show that was reduced to a weird feeling "eh" due to the fucking crowd wrecking it.

Hey, you have to now live with the fact that the city of Toronto is to wrestling fans what Tampa Bay is to Major League Baseball....uncaring, undeserving, and bad for business.
-
Awful PPV in a shitty wrestling town with shitty fans who ruined good matches and made them awful. End of story.

Christ, can SOMEONE help me get this player to work? I just saw someone in here say they were listening to the wrap-up LAW show.
-
So how do you play the Law's radio show?
-
How do you get THE LAW's show to play? I see no link for it to play and want to listen. Help pleez

The WWE has no idea what they're doing. No one wants to fucking cheer Orton. Benoit was made to look like a loser tonight. Triple H, for all intents and purposes, should be the #1 contender. To face Orton? Yuck. Eugene is lame. Kane wins Lita. So? Angle looked good, but relied WAY too much on ground submission wrestling. Guerrero now drops further down the ladder. JBL/Taker was shitty. Nice FOAM PADDED LIMO, assholes. Cena/Booker will take forever to finish. Ugh. Groan, groan, groan.
-
My ratings: Six-Man Tag: ** 1/2 Matt/Kane: ** I-C Three-Way: * 1/2 Cena/Booker: ** Eddie/Angle: *** 1/2 HHH/Eugene: ** 1/2 Taker/JBL: * 1/2 Benoit/Orton: ** 3/4

Chris, it'd been an enjoyable 154 day title reign. But the summer and the party is over. The Era of Orton begins tonight. Interestingly enough, my house watching it is split between Benoit/Orton marks...should make for an exciting main event.

Buwahahahahaha did you see that P.R. guy (Casiano?) DRILL the 30 footer with someone in his face, 24 secs left?
-
So I ask you this... Since the U.S. Olympic team can't fucking TOUCH Puerto Rico...why should I consider the NBA Title as "prestigious?" Way to go Lebron and co.

"Seven" Varsity Club RETURNS...in 1999 14 matches on a Nitro...the week of a PPV

I don't like that Taker walks like the "dead man" but still does ANGRY OLD MAN YELLS when doing clotheslines in the corner and ACTING WINDED AND OUT OF BREATH AND/OR TIRED..he's "dead"...
-
Yeah baby. EdOMac and Justin Kase are next.
-
It finally came on the Philly market. My God, what happened at the end of Nunzio Vs. Chavo? Yuck. Cool, Taker fights a jobber.

"...a match with Jesus on Raw..." Another way the WWF attracted the "cutting edge" South Park demographic back in '98. -
BTW, S D, it was implied that the activities with the "Hummer" were Eric Bischoff's designs, as revealed when Bischoff did a hummer attack on the 04-10-00 edition of Nitro.

They won't turn Lita heel. I see enough pimply nerds with Hardy & Lita merchandise at live events. They're still *gulp*...over.

Goldberg/Regal on Nitro. F'n NASTY.

I remember actually digging Regal around WM X-Seven, and bitching to my friends about his decency and "unique style". We watched WM X-Seven, and I was obviously made a fool of. -
After the Four Horsemen reformed, check this out: From the January 25, 1999 Nitro: 7. Ric Flair, Chris Benoit, & Steve McMichael defeated WCW World Champion Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, & Scott Steiner via disqualification when Nash hit Flair with a 2 x 4 board, given to him by the interfering Eric Bischoff, who had earlier been forced by Flair to sell "foam fingers" in the crowd. Afterwards, the nWo held the Horsemen still as Bischoff prepared to shave Flair's head. The WCW locker room poured out and ran off the nWo before the hair cutting, however. Benoit actually worked with Hogan for a large portion of that match. No Malenko, tho...sorry.

Hey, to each his own tastes. I just popped in Starrcade 98...so I'll admit my bad taste at times.
