I agree that Schaub does seem to have gotten kind of overrated, but a couple years of the constant whispers "Schaub is better than any QB in the upcoming draft" "Schaub is a better starter option than any FA out there" and the value you would think would increase. Look at Feeley's numbers when he had that six or seven game stretch for the Eagles. He basically QBed a "please AJ don't fuck up the game for us" offense to a 5 or 6 and 1 record. The record and the buzz is what got the pick, certainly not his play if you actually look back at what he did. That said if it is 2 2nds and trading down from 8 to 10, then that is a good deal for the Falcons, IMO.

Considering the Schaub hype for the last two years and the fact the Eagles got just as much for AJ Feeley a couple years ago, I am a little surprised that that is all they got.

Then however many picks are left, have everyone submit long enough queued lists and just do like a Yahoo autodraft. I think you are overestimating the idea of the division improving. The Eagles have only done resignings so far, the Cowboys broke the bank for Leonard fucking Davis, and when the Redskins have a round FA signings that actually add up to anything then I'll start to worry. If your team was hurting before this offseason's FA crop, chances are it will still be hurting no matter who you sign. Fucking awful is being generous. If they weren't in the division, Tra Thomas would probably be available for the right price with Winston Justice waiting in the wings. Plus, to be fair, looking at this part from a John Clayton article it looks like they tried to do something about LT
