One of the most consistently good comics published by DC. Which is saying something, because DC has been on fire lately.

In a somewhat related note, I find myself growing increasingly apathetic towards the WWE folder of TSM. There isn't much of quality here anymore.

I hope this story isn't true. Kennedy shouldn't be anywhere near the main event until, maybe, SummerSlam of next year. I like the idea of him as U.S. champ. I'd give him a feud with someone....someone other than Bob Holly.....then move him into a feud with Benoit over the U.S. strap. But main event by Mania? No. He should only just then be cementing his status as an upper-midcarder.

The good: Bulldog, Roberts, Dibiase returning. The bad: pretty much everything else. Well, perhaps not entirely. I don't mind Andre or Bret returning, and at least there are no fucking Road Warriors in it this time.

You know, if you want to get topical, I could point out how many liberals defend Cindy Sheehan, even though at this point it's glaringly apparent just how mentally disturbed she is, and that only serves to paint the left with a wide brush that they either are, or at least sympathize with, dangerous, irrational socialists. Here's my problem with criticizing Bennett: I don't care if people want to roast his nuts over a fire for saying what he did, because as I said in the thread on the OTHER board, even if there is some statistical truth in his words, his remarks were stupid and poorly made (to make an understatement) and there was no way in hell they were going to be received any way other than they were. But for that bitch Nancy Pelosi, or for Harry Reid, to DEMAND that the White House condemn and apologize for the remark is pure lunacy. That's in addition to Y2Jerk's point about how Congress shouldn't be condemning someone just for voicing an opinion. It's not the job of Congress to be silencing unpopular (even racist) speech, and it's not the White House's responsibility to apologize for every stupid move that some conservative makes.

I have to disagree with Mike. This RAW, IMO, can only be considered a critical disappointment. There was ambition there to make it great, but they just could NOT pull it off. The mean side of me wants to say that's because they're just too fucking inept at this point to make it work. Yes, the ladder match and ironman match were good. For those criticizing either of those matches, I base that comment on what we get on a normal RAW. Were those good matches for RAW, as it is today? I'd say yes. But those two matches weren't enough to cover up the rest of the show, which alternated between being too long, or too short, an altogether rather pointless.

So great, to save time we cut the Smackdown 6-man - but we'll GET Hogan rambling on for 20 minutes.

So we'll get maybe 20 minutes (including commercials) for two more big matches AND Hogan. Goddamn, the WWE even managed to fuck this thing up.

So I guess Von Erich's payoff for the WCCW footage was getting 10 seconds on RAW to put Bagwell's gay twin in the Iron Claw. You know what, though? It was worth it.
