  1. Jesus (Aaron Aguilera) was released by World Wrestling Entertainment today, according to a source close to the situation. He had been out of action after neck surgery following a short run as a bodyguard for Carlito Caribbean Cool on the Smackdown brand, including a PPV bout against John Cena. Also released today was former ECW star Chilly Willy (Will Jones), who was signed to a developmental deal and had been training in Ohio Valley Wrestling. Jones signed in November 2004 after returning to the United States from Iraq, where he earned a purple heart serving in the United States Army. Jones had been appearing on OVW TV in recent weeks, including an interview with Jim Cornette where he discussed serving in Iraq. Ring of Honor regular CM Punk worked the Raw taping earlier tonight in a tag match taped for Heat against Maven and Simon Dean. I don't have much else in the way of results other than Joey Matthews and Johnny Nitro working a dark match, so if you attended tonight's Raw taping, feel free to send a report. Speaking of the Raw taping, I've already heard of one instance of a pro-Matt Hardy sign that read "I'll Miss Matt" being confiscated by security. --PWInsider.com
  2. Nine tapes are gone just like that! If you want something, act fast!
  3. The people who wanted the Over the Edge 99 + RAW is Owen episode never got back to me, so it's back up for grabs to whoever gets to me first and wants it. Still plenty of good stuff here and it all has to go! Added a tape with Fall Brawl 1997 and Spring Stampede 2000 on it! Fall Brawl 1997 is hard to find, so pick it up here for cheap!
  4. Holy crap, check this out:
  5. It's clearly Chuck Palumbo's tournament to lose.
  6. Postponed this week for the UFC finale.
  7. Oh my God Tyson Tomko's tights are disgusting. Tomko vs. Val right now on Heat.
  8. From the IWA boards: Matt Sydal wasn't allowed to wrestle by Ian due to a partial MCL tear. Emil Sitoci took his place. M-Dogg d. Jigsaw El Generico d. Sitoci Abercrombie d. Storm Dutt d. Fury Sweeney d. "Chicago area legend" Sonny Rogers. This was awful due to Rogers horrible mic & ringwork. Jade was hot though. Eddie Venom is a lucky man. Mickie d. McClure; McClure had her beat but was tired of Fannin's shit so he let Mickie pin him. Hats off to Mickie for working with the injured arm. Fannin didn't want to wrestle Mickie in her injured condition so he ended having to wear a dress for the rest of the night. Silas & Priest won a fourway tag over Whitmer & Kingston, Tyler Black & Joey Envy & Shane Tempers & Adam Jacobs (?). Cannon won a #1 contenders match over Daniels & Double C. This was good, especially when it was Cannon & Double C. Candido d. Ian Tank d. Boz Punk d. Delirious; good stuff in this one, lots of fun with the crowd. Punk put Delirious overon he mic afterward. Joe d. Bradley; another good match but this will be remembered for Joe's FUCKING AWESOME promo after the match. After Joe put Bradley over on the mic he talked about how some guys were fighters & some were bullies. He said on said he wanted to thank Ian for booking the match on June 11 against Necro Butcher because he was going to fight a bully. He went off on how Necro is an "untrained, pill popping, drunk piece of shit". He was REALLY pissed off becuse Necro took advantage of the ROH students at the CHIKARA tag tourney & said on Jne 11 he was going to beat the fuck out of him. Great promo filled with anger & hate. I wouldn't want to be Necro on any day but especially not on June 11. Aberrombie won the flippy tournament. All kinds of crazy stuff in this match. Abercrombie is by far the least talented of these four but they wanted one of there own to win I guess. Iron Saints d. Brandon & Trik; crazy bumps galore in this one including a crub stomp off the top of the ladder through a table on Brandon, unfortunately the table didn't break, it was sick. Jacobs d Hero; great match. Cannon came down afterward ended up getting into a pull apart with Hero, they'll wrestle on 6-18 in Highand. Very good show that really picked up in the second half as things weren't looking too good before the first intermission.
  9. Well it didn't take long for the MMA boards to get filled with posts saying Shamrock/Franklin was a work.
  10. Evan Tanner on the fight: "Wow, what a fight!!! That was one of the best fights I've seen since I got involve in this sport. It would be an honor to train with either one those guys. Definitely don't agree with the decision."
  11. A disappointing end to that match. Too bad.
  12. Shamrock working the ankle lock!
  13. Who did Franklin lose to?
  14. Are you guys surprised there wasn't more takedowns/submissions/wrestling in that match?
  15. 6-figure contract.
  16. I can't believe it's unanimous. Congrats to Forrest, what a fight.
  17. Meltzer: "Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar is FINALLY in the ring. Incredible first round. They traded bombs back and forth. Each stunned the other. Griffin was winning early, then Bonnar took over with solid shots. Griffin took Bonnar down in the last minute and went for an armbar. Maybe slightly to Griffin, but Griffin is not in as good a shape as Bonnar and I think that will tell later Second round was incredible. This is one of the great fights in UFC history. Bonnar won the second round. Both guys are dying from working so hard. Griffin has a bad cut on the bridge of the nose. This is Bonnar's round, and he's in better shape. I'm shocked Griffin lasted round two because he was dying. Both of these guys deserve to win. Okay, third round so was ridiculously close. I'm going with Griffin even though he looks worse. This can go either way. My feeling is that UFC needs to sign both men, regardless of who wins. They are saying if it's a draw, they go three more minutes, and it's possibly a draw."
  18. Dana and everyone marking out in the crowd was awesome. Wow, I am in awe of these two guys. This is the fight UFC needed on this show.
  19. I can't believe there hasn't been more blood, to be honest.
  20. Meltzer was right, Bonnar is in better shape and it's making the difference...
  21. I'm surprised, but Joe Rogan is doing well on color and seems to really be loving this. Oh man, more bomb throwing...wow. You know Dana White is LOVING this fight.
  22. Not quite "Bret Hitman Clark" but what is it with these Buffers and not knowing names?! I missed the intros, what did he say? Here we go, round 2!
  23. This is a damn good fight.
  24. What's the weight limit for heavyweights? Maybe some of the more talented people could move up in weight?
