  1. During the show Tony Garea sat at an empty seat close to me. I keep regretting not talking to him.....he looked like a nice guy.
  2. From what my mom told me, 1 US Dollar = 30.25 Pesos, so it would be $100, $200, & $300 US Dollars (more or less with change). To Americans that isn't much but that's A LOT for Dominicans. I should know, being that my family barely has enough to supply themselves weekly. But being that it was a House Show, it didn't give people that much incentive to go. If that was a Televised Show or PPV, they defenitely would've sold more tickets. A lot of people still went. But a lot more would have gone if the prices weren't like that. I had a great time but I feel bad for all the people who are big fans and couldn't afford to go.
  3. Prices for the show were 1,000 , 2,000 and 3,000 pesos. Pretty expensive but much cheaper than the 200 American dollars they were charging in Puerto Rico. I don't think they'll ever come back but I'm still really happy about having the chance to go.
  4. This must be a typo. Nop. But the title wasn't on the line. Interesting note....the audience was chanting for Jack Veneno throught out the whole night. For those who don't know who he is. He's a Dominican Wrestling legend who beat Ric Flair for the NWA Title in 1982. Althought the match was never recognize outside of here.
  5. The arena wasn't packed since tickets were really expensive so I doubt WWE will ever come back. The show started exactly at 8:00. First match The Pitbulls vs London and Kendrick who blew their entrance spot , when London tried doing the back flip he slipped. Jamie Knoble got into it with the crowd and got a lot of heat. Kendrick was the most over with the crowd this was a really good match to get everyone fired up. Winners: London and Kendrick with a roll-up Second match Tatanka vs Kennedy who was getting cheered at first but got everyone against him when he said his "Mexican" wasn't really good. After the match some guys front row wanted his autograph and he was about to sign it but then he just threw the pen away...HARCORE! Winner : Kennedy using the ropes. Third match Jillian Hall vs Krystal. The match was mostly just Hall showing off her tits but the crowd was into it. Winner: Jillian Hall. Vito(Dressed as a woman) vs William Regal. Comedy match that everyone loved, Vito was really over and Regal has some of the best facial expressions in the business. Winner: Vito Funaki vs Super Crazy. Crazy was insanely over and I never knew what a great worker Funaki was. Best moment was Crazy doing an Asail Moonsault into the crowd. Winner: Super Crazy Sharmell came out and introduced Booker who took his sweet ass time to get to the ring while Chimmel was saying "All Hail King Booker" over and over.....and over and over. Rey Mysterio came out to a big pop wearing an Albert Pujols shirt to kiss up to the crowd. This was a great match that Rey won using the Frog Splash. Everyone chanted "Eddie" throught out the match I tried chanting "Rey" but no one went along with me. After the match they played Eddie's music and Rey took all the Eddie themed signs and put them in the ring. Really brief intermission during which I went to the shopzone and was amazed that the Replica belts costed about 8, 000 Dominican pesos. Matt Hardy vs Helms. Hardy came out to a big pop and before the match started he played the crowd over which side he was gonna throw his shirt at. After that Helms was doing the same with his Elbow pad and as he was about to throw it he just threw a punch at Matt. Nice little match that Hardy won with the Twist of Fate. Winner: Matt Hardy Finlay vs Lashley. At the beginning of the match it looked like Finaly was injured and everyone in the crowd bought it as Lashley looked concerned and was holding the ropes for Finlay to get out but when NO ONE expected it Finally threw Lashley out of the ring. This was a stiff match that everyone was loving and the crowd was in love with Lashley. Regal interfered and Finlay started beating up Lashley. He then removed the turnbuckle but Lashley grabbed him with a belly to belly that knocked out the ref. Both Finlay and Regal brought chairs in but Lashley kicked one into Regal's face and speared Finlay for the win. Main event Khali and Henry vs Taker...this was a surreal moment I had NEVER in my life heard people go THAT crazy over someone. I will never forget this night when I saw Taker's entrance for the first time. Khali didn't do much, it was Henry and Taker who carried the match. Daivari interfered a couple of times but Taker fought everyone off and won by Chokeslamming Henry. This was one of the best nights ever in my life. I went to the first New Year's Revolution in Puerto Rico but the whole card up until the Main Event was garbage. I loved this show and I hope some day I get to see the Raw wrestlers....which is unlikely.
  6. Sounds like this is either a Love it or Hate it film. The reactions have been very mixed. I don't know when it comes out in Latin America but I can't wait!
  7. Shit now they broke up the Mexicools......does the WWE hate tag teams?
  8. Well isn't 4th of July mostly about fireworks? they really need the pyros for a show on that day.
  9. That's the exact same card being advertised for the House Show here in Dominican Republic......the match I'm most looking forward to is Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs The Pitbulls ....was it at least entertaining?
  10. I don't get the whole forced story telling thing. Could anyone give me an example of what exactly it is?
  11. Worse ever? I actually like this match...not bad at all, not my favorite but I don't see why it gets all this hate. I remember being on WWF Chat while watching the match and everyone bitching about how bad the whole Raw had been. I'd think Tacoma would be more fond of WCW since the last great WCW PPV took place in that same arena.
  12. What I meant was I thought he was Black American but he's of Hispanic descent.
  13. Because he's not from there. Franklin Roberto is his real name but he's from the US. Why are you so sure? in the commercial promoting the house show he speaks perfect Spanish and says Panama is the land his parents came from. Oh and even though they speak spanish most people there are black. He was born in the U.S.A but his family comes from there.
  14. I think it's obvious that they are throwing in this match so that Sabu wins one title they can take to ECW and that way Cena doesn't have to drop the title to RVD.
  15. Apparently Tego Calderon was never involved in the cd and it was all just a rumor started by Hugo Savinovich to get more sales in Puerto Rico
  16. I never knew Lashley was from Panama I always thought he was Black American. For the Smackdown house show in Panama they are promoting him as from there and they said his name is Franklin Roberto.
  17. The second one doesn't count though since they tried to play it off as a "controversial" ending
  18. I was gonna make this thread myself....this was even the same title I was gonna use...but oh well. 2002 had so many good matches it makes me forget the crappy angles which weren't that bad compared to the shit we get now. Edge vs Eddie Unforgiven Rey vs Angle Summerslam HHH vs HBK Summerslam Taker vs Angle vs Rock Vengeance Edge vs Angle Backlash Edge vs Angle Judgement Day Benoit vs Angle Unforgiven Benoit and Angle vs Rey Mysterio and Edge No Mercy Elimination Chamber Survivor Series Just to name a few
  19. That's only in U.S.A. If you go to IWA shows in Puerto Rico you'll tons of cool people and HOTTT women.
  20. Thread title explains itself....I have recently fallen in love with this sport. Anyone got any recommendations for matches I should download?
  21. I mean did they report it on WWE.com
  22. Did they report when Goldberg and Jericho got in a fight in 2003? I'm really confused about this, if it was a work then they wouldn't be playing Booker T as the good guy.
