I'll get VF5 just for the sake of having something to play. I think it looks good, I especially like the animation, but I have no interest in playing it casually much and no one plays it seriously. I'll play it for a couple weeks then it will collect dust. I read it lists the frame data for moves in practice mode. Pretty cool and I wonder why no one has ever done that. Beats trial and error and books written in Japanese.

Only the ones you could on PS2 like RE Outbreak and FF XI. Now that I beat Resistance I have nothing to do until T5DR comes out. I guess play PS2 games. I need to wear in the Sixaxis dpad before DR comes out. The baby av is the greatest. I will only bring back Julia when this baby stops making me laugh.

WOW a Cavi post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Felony 11-79 was indeed great. It was just too short. It had like 3 areas or something.

PS3 overheats because of the awesome power of Cell and Blu Ray.

What happened to region free? Japanese DVDs and PS2 games don't work. I am starting to be very impressed with Resistance! Some of the early levels are very linear and basic, the kind of level design you'd find in a late 90's FPS. Now the battles are getting bigger with some huge areas and boss monsters. Great weapon design too. All of the guns feel satisfying and powerful and there's some very clever weapons here, like a spike grenade you throw that floats in the air for a second before exploding throwing the shards everywhere. I just got a new grenade type that spits out flammable gas that eventually explodes burning up everything near by. This game has the best grenades ever.

An employee at Toys R Us held one for me. If you start looking hard you'll probably be able to. Supposedly stores get weekly shipments, they just don't get many. Ebay might be worth checking out, especially if you want to settle for the 20 gig. From what I've read prices have gone way down, there are just too many flooding Ebay.

I never thought it being gone would have any impact until playing this. I am so used to it in FPS, it's like the main way I recognize I am being shot at.

I just had to shake the SIXAXIS for the first time. An enemy grabbed me and I had to move it around to get loose. Feels really weird....it's so light it barely feels like I am doing anything at all. Rumble would have helped.

Resistance is pretty cool so far but very old school. The level and enemy design is straight out of a 32 bit era FPS just with a bigger scope. Feels outdated after games like Gears. I love the atmosphere, the story is told with what looks like old black and white art that transitions into gameplay.

It comes with a 1 year warrenty.

SOON! Jan 18th is the word. It's the arcade version with a few extras. Slightly improved graphics, playable Jinpachi and unlockable movies from the whole series. It's not going to be sold in stores, it's downloadable from the online store. Going to be like 10-15 bucks. Yes it is the best news EVER. As soon as it was annouced I got serious about finding a PS3. What a surprise too. I think everyone had given up hope on a home version. RIP 5.0! Tekken 2 is downloadable now. Playable on PSP. It's like 5 dollars. That would be pretty exciting if you know, Tekken 2 wasn't so old and crappy.

Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection. That's all that matters. For me there is no doubt PS3 will be a worthwhile investment just because of that.

Not that heavy actually. Maybe the same as the 360. I can't stop staring in awe at this thing. It's the PS3...and it's actually out and in my house. It seems impossible. I will say..this thing is a fat ugly looking oval filled with vents but it's SHINY. It looks epic and high tech. Like a futuristic grill or something. It's also ALREADY hot. Hot air is like shooting out of vents on the side. I wonder if that's supposed to happen.

I got mine! YES! Now I just have to download an update. It's going down very very very slowly. One percent at a time. How great I love waiting. THIS IS NEXT GEN!!! Since I can't play anything while waiting for the update here are first impressions while hooking it up. It's HUGE. I mean we've all seen pictures or even kioks but the size of this monster can't be totally understood until you've actually got it in your house and you're hooking it up. I can't believe how gigantic it is. It's also incredibily ugly. But the SIXAXIS is so light. I guess that's good but honestly it feels like it's going to fall apart or something. Not sure how I feel about the new trigger buttons.

I have a PS3 waiting to pick up tomorrow! I will get Resistance and.....nothing else.

Yeah the gun is very weird. Not like Buffy at all. I've seen art for the comic where Xander has the eye patch.

Sunset Riders has like, the best voice clips in any game ever. "Bury me with my money"

Super Turbo's AI is legendary. Blanka's throw can drain like half your life in 2 seconds. Of course if you do it to the CPU they can mash out just as fast.

Acclaim's WWF games were what made me watch wrestling in the first place. Undertaker, IRS, and Yokozuna were so silly and crazy I wanted to see them in real life. I had Rage in the Cage for Sega CD. It was like the SNES/Genesis WWF games except it had a weak cage match mode and the wrestlers would taunt each other before the match. I remember IRS would say something like "there are 3 things certain in life. Death, taxes and the fact that I'm going to beat you". Yeah that's so awesome. Bring back IRS and make him world champion and I will watch wrestling again. Oh and it also had grainy FMV cutscenes...but it's a Sega CD game so that goes without saying.

Oh wow Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection is coming to PS3!!! It's an arcade port with a few extras. What's really shocking is that it's going to be a downloadable game. I am so hyped! GOTY ONLY ON PS3! Sell your Wiis and 360s the console war is over.....

What!?

PC gaming is a hassle. It's not just fighters. Racers, JRPGs, sports, platformers, light gun shooters, beat em ups, wrestling, survival horror and a bunch of other genres.

There's no reason you can't have innovation AND graphics. There doesn't have to be this trade. That said out of the negative things about Wii the graphics is one of the least I am concerned about. I haven't been that impressed with next gen so far. We'll see how things are in a few years though. But next gen tech doesn't just mean next gen graphics. The coolest thing I've seen from Xbox 360 so far was all the enemies on screen in Dead Rising.

It's not selling that many a day. That's so misleading! It sold a million for the US and Japanese launches combined. They're just averaging it by day to make it sound more impressive. Lame. There's a lot of ways it could go for worldwide #1. By 2008 every region could be different. PS3 will probably take Europe, but America and Japan could go either way for Wii/PS3. I could see Japan for Wii, PS3 with EUR and all 3 very close for US. With last gen PS2 had such a massive headstart no one else ever had any kind of chance. This time it will take a while for Sony to catch up. Could be like 16 bit era where things actually change as the years go on.

The first and last 20 minutes of Super Metroid. Boss battles too. The atmosphere and cinematic feeling was just amazing. Never seen anything like it in a game! This game was way ahead of it's time. I think out of the entire 8-16 bit era this one had the most impact on me besides SF II/MK. Final Fantasy VII's first 4 hours in Midgar. Midgar itself was bigger and more epic then a lot of games by itself. They set up Shinra and the president as the main villains. By the time you are assaulting Midgar HQ it feels like it could be the climax of a regular game. Then out of now where the "main villain" is killed, someone else comes in and you leave the city to find an entire world to explore. Having never played rpgs seriously before this just blew me away.
